  • Cole, saturated fat isn’t necessarily bad for you, some people would say that it just got a bad rep and even animal fat is good, and some will say that only when it comes from a vegetable source (coconuts) it’s good. Regardless, the fats in coconuts…

  • I thought so too but a lot of times when they’re like that, they taste very very off. It’s not a good idea to eat those.

  • Was it purple on the inside? Was the water pink? That usually means it’s rotten. They usually don’t spoil very quickly at all.

  • Ok, so only tree nuts. Makes sense then. Well flax or sunflower seeds should work great.
  • I didn’t understand from what you said, are sesame seeds ok or not? :c) I believe humananimal has a pie recipe using only fruit. Also, are sunflower seeds ok? Those usually work very nicely. Pumpkin seeds might have a bit too harsh of a flavour. Fla…
  • You can soak them if you’d like, but you don’t have to. You can eat them as they are, I personally like to soak them and put them in smoothies. They give it a nice colour :c)

  • Do you get enough sleep? I only feel refreshed if I sleep exactly as much as my body wants, even if it means a late morning (which always feels like a wasted day, I know) Also, do you eat a lot of sugar? If you have sugar crashes, it could lower you…
  • The vet actually did give us quite a lot of literature on her possible conditions. I didn’t read it (I’m at work, my husband called me to tell me about this) but I got the gist of what fatty liver is- basically, the cat’s liver isn’t built to proces…
  • Oh my word, ok, test results came in (that thief refused to refund the antibiotics and charged us even more just for his time, also made a false accusation to my husband that I had called to demand my money back, which is a lie, he did, and that was…
  • Test results haven’t come in yet, but… I came to a decision (a bit late after all that money was spent on those damn useless vets) to not follow their advice. I will give back all the antibiotics they gave us and most of the food. I’ll try to force …
  • See, transitioning her to raw was sooo easy. When she was hungry enough, she ate! She’s just so miserable right now, she won’t eat anything but those damn whiskas cat treats, and even those, just one or two at a time. I don’t know if you can buy any…
  • It’s been a long time since the spaying, her energy was down back then but went back up after we switched her to raw. Well, Matt took her to the vet and it’s not looking great. She’s jaundiced from not eating for so long and we have to force feed he…
  • Oi, probably not. She’s hiding in my kitchen cabinet right now. I don’t like it, cats hide when they give up. But she won’t eat anything so coconut oil wouldn’t help :c\ Thank you for your help, it’s very encouraging. I hope she will be ok.
  • Thank you so much for replying! She doesn’t seem to have a fever, I haven’t measured but her nose doesn’t seem warm. She gets very bad hairballs as she is a longhair and sheds constantly. She refused to eat grass though, which they usually go for. W…
  • How can bananas go bad? You eat them! They disappear so fast when you do that… Hehe… I don’t know, there’s something that bothers me a tiny bit about raw convenience… I guess it feels to me like it should be a little more difficult, everything shoul…

  • Odalys, may I suggest that your liver may not be the problem necessarily? The symptoms you describe sound to me like the toxins being released aren’t leaving your body fast enough. I would suggest a good intestinal clease, possibly enemas, and lots …

  • I love cartoons! South Park is awesome, though I can only download it. I also like family guy (I missed the entire last season because I had to work). My favorite cartoon would have to be Invader Zim. I also used to watch the Colbert Report religiou…
  • I don’t think it’s usable, actually (B-12 in spirulina). From what I’ve heard anyway. I actually heard it can lower absorption of B-12.
  • hmmm… I agree with the tomatoes… They’re lovely and they want us to eat them and not digest the seeds (so we can fertilize them… tee hee) and cucumbers, I think they’re supposed to have much bigger seeds than they do usually… So about the same… I do…
  • Allnatural, I really do know what you mean… A little stress can really make you relapse into bad habbits. It really isn’t about focusing on the actual food that helped me, but about finding a whole different perspective on it. I think it’s basically…
  • Oh I don’t mean to make anyone feel bad for what they like… I used to LOVE all natural peanut butter, but when I started cleaning out my diet, it was the first thing to go (waaay before going raw). The problem with them is that a. they’re not really…
  • 1. Always better to soak first, removes the enzyme inhibitors. 2. Don’t get blanched almonds, those are removed with boiling water. Better with the skin. 3. I don’t think it’s necessary to remove the skin, they’re just as good with it on. That does …
  • With sunflower seeds, you have to remove their skins or they go bad very very quickly… I’ve had that problem before.
  • magdi, Actually, I turned 21 3 days ago. I’ve been married for over 2 years and NO IT WASN’T ARRANGED hehe… We just had to either get married or give up because we’re from different countries (makes immigration a little bit easier… though not a lot)…
  • It actually does seem to be more natural do be eating raw meat during the winter, in my opinion. Now before anyone gets upset, I’m not advocating meat eating at all. My point is mostly that the most natural thing would be to eat something that rich …
  • I think sunflower seeds should work pretty well.
  • If you’re raw and clean on the inside, your ‘inner-terrain’ is in balance, if you will, then you will not get genital warts or cancer. It only happens when your body is sick.
  • I’m pretty sure cacao is just a name for raw cacao, so cacao butter is probably the raw form while cocoa butter is heat processed. Coconut oil is just the oil, and coconut butter is a product by artisana with coconut meat blended into the oil. Hope …
  • justbeautiful, What kind of juicer is that? What would be a decent kind? What I’m asking is, is there a point to buying a cheap centrifugal juicer, or is it a waste of money and time? And the reason I would like to buy a juicer is because there are …

  • In TOL, to my knowledge, the reason they would avoid fruit isn’t because of their glycemic index but because they contain sugar, and you’d want to avoid any kind of sugars at all on their program, which is meant to eliminate candida and other parasi…
