  • i have no helpful advice unfortunately, but i just wanted to wish you the best of luck!
  • rawsarah and meditating, you said it. and believe me, i’ve been in the position where i was constantly and consciously judging everyone around me for their food habits. in return, i received the same harsh judgement and criticism. since coming to te…
  • rawkidchef…that’s a little extreme, don’t you think? i think it’s best not to judge people on their eating habits. cooked foodists, raw foodists, vegetarians, vegans, omnivores, carnivores…im cool with everything save cannibalism lol! everyone has t…
  • i went through a time like this, where i wanted to shake people and say “OPEN YOUR EYES MAN, OPEN YOUR EYES.” however, after going through months where my anger was frustrating both me and everyone around me, i learned that the best way to positivel…
  • there’s two reasons i recently decided to be 80% (on average) as opposed to 100% raw. first, for me, it’s really important not to go to any one extreme. extremism is my nature, and when i get into an extreme state of mind, (and in this world raw foo…
  • i love raw honey. i guess you could call me a beegan_
  • I don’t know about raw food and wrinkles (im 17), but coconut oil in general is fabulous for skin! Amazing how it works wonders for both oily skin on the face and dry skin on the legs! Awesome stuff.
  • You can definitely have too much sugar and fruit, in my experience. I eat mostly raw, but I’ll take brown rice and steamed veg over a raw triple fudge brownie any day! too much of anything is potentially detrimental, and i believe that since most of…
  • you should probably post your email, most people aren’t cool discussing specific locations on the net on a public forum=)=P
  • I believe that since most modern humans are not constantly active like we would be in the wild, its detrimental to eat huge amounts of fruit like many do and have our blood sugar levels go haywire. I eat mostly raw food, anywhere from 80-100% on any…
  • make sure you don’t get too much omega 6 fat. avocado, nuts, and most oils besides flax and hemp are all omega 6. you need to balance these fats out with omega 3, found in hemp and flax oil. you can definitely have too much fat, raw or cooked. hell,…
  • my pool is salinated as opposed to filled with chlorine, which is perfectly natural and non-toxic. try finding a salinated pool in your area?

  • nature’s first food (sun is shining) is very good. i’ve never tried vitamineral green. in fact, i remember reading somewhere that they were the same thing…
  • my skin looks about 25 times better than it did when i wasn’t raw, but definitely not perfect yet! the thing thats really helped me (besides raw food and lots of water and sleep) has been applying coconut oil topically. seemed kind of counterintuiti…

  • ahahha i’m glad i found this post, i can easily eat a whole melon in one sitting.mmm melon.
  • haa same thing happened to me with a mango at a subway station! so funny. i enjoyed the stares though, i wont lie.
  • definitely, definitely a fever too high for too long could kill you or serious hurt you. in a situation where the option is let a high fever run its course or take drugs, i’d take the drugs. not worth my life or my brain!

  • all the sources i’ve referred to (about this very same concern) say combining leafy greens with fruit is perfectly fine. if its any consolation, monkeys do it. (wrap banana or mango in leaves and eat!)
  • wow! that’s awesome, congratulations!
  • I think you’re over-complicating this whole thing. Try eating more of your foods whole. Its fine to get excited about your food, (more people should), but “scary-excited” to the point where it takes over your life sounds like disordered eating to me…
  • I COMPLETELY understand your all-or-nothing mindstate, I have that myself, which is why I went 100% raw and never looked back. However, to be fair, I had it relatively easy because my whole family was really behind me and I had all kinds of resource…
  • the deal with maple syrup is that its not raw, but its vegan (obviously). it does have lots of vitamins and minerals. i use it once in a while.
  • the plain taste thing is awesome, the truth is, despite all the super fancy raw meals out there, the golden rule is the closest to simple and whole the better. i would rifle through the recipes on this site (there are plenty) for inspiration. i woul…
  • i got the 9 tray and kind of regret it because i really only use max 4 trays at a time. (then again, i’m mostly uncooking for one). the excalibur brand is a good choice though.

  • i have no light to shed on the nut issue, but wasn’t pure AMAZING?! did you try the spanakopita? PHENOMENAL!!
  • that’s cool, i wondered whether he would be as vegan-peace-hippy in person as he presents himself on his website and so forth. nice to know.
  • i would say “glyde” vegan condoms but it looks like you may be allergic to latex!
  • buckwheat, chia seed, and hemp seed are all complete proteins.
  • chocolate and any berry!
