  • i agree it would be a great choice for warm climates and a lot of activity. i’ve got that last one covered, but unfortunately i live in a place where it is freezing for more than half the year! i find greens and some nuts work best for me along with…
  • i’ve never dated a raw guy, or even a vegetarian, but so far guys have been fine with the way i eat. obviously i’m not married though so i can’t speak for the long-term thing…
  • i eat 1-3 bananas a day. because they are hybridized, and therefore theoretically sweeter than they should be, i usually mix them with something like green powder or flax to dull the effect on my blood sugar.
  • that happened to me when i had some vegan “half-raw” bread, immediately had a headcold, went away in a few days. weird, convincing though!
  • wow! thats amazing, congratulations! even making the choice (regardless of how long it takes to get there) is a huge first step! my biggest piece of advice, which i give to anyone who is even slightly interested in raw food, is to add greens to your…

  • same thing happened to my kamut bread, no fun and very disapppointing, i know! apparently i don’t react well to grains anyway, so i won’t be trying that again.
  • greens are a fabulous edition for weight stabilization (or loss).

  • beginning of day 3 update: well, the salt water flush worked. ...that’s all i’ll say about that. LOL. woke up today pretty hungry, had my lemonade and now i feel better…had some headaches yesterday. seeing all the wonderful recipes on here is making…
  • just did the salt water flush…well THAT was unpleasant! no “activity” yet though…
  • thank you for the advice! End of day 1: Feel pretty ok, hungry but not extremely. No digestive issues, no detox symptoms so far…Going to do the salt water cleanse tomorrow morning, we’ll see how that goes! (I hear it isn’t pleasant!)
  • buckwheat, chia, and hemp are all complete proteins…
  • i’ve had eczema since age 3. i’m now almost 17, and my eczema disappeared about 3 months into going completely raw. it comes back in VERY mild forms when i’m stressed out, nothing compared to what i went through before. good on you!
  • the following foods should not be eaten raw: kidney beans (toxic), regular potatoes (sweet potatoes and jicama are fine), the edible(ness?) of raw eggplant is disputed…personally i’m not a fan, soybeans are also disputed (sprouted soybeans are consi…
  • put another tray with teflex over that one, flip, and peel.

  • i thought of the sourdough thing myself at first sniff but then i thought they cook the sourdough bread to kill the bacteria? i could be wrong…hmm
  • LMAOOOO @ joseph mercola. i think he is quite hysterical of a character, really quite amusing. he really is a bit off his rocker.
  • berries. especially strawberries. and cucumber, eat it with every meal.
  • As a non-Christian I would ask you to respect my religious beliefs (or lack thereof). This is a raw food forum.
  • leo/cancer cusp (born an hour earlier would be cancer), dont know my moon sign.
  • i still generally hang out with the same group of friends i did before i was raw, despite our drastically different lifestyle habits. i’ve been very lucky to have had them be only mildly judgemental, and a few are even interested!
  • i believe the current diet of the majority of people in the developed world is a “radical, extreme” diet, considering how far it is out of what we naturally would be eating. ive always looked at raw as a return to the norm!
  • i’m personally not a fan of fruitarianism for a number of reasons, but if you’re looking for a caramelly taste look into buying either fresh lucuma or raw dried lucuma powder…with some cinnamon and agave mixed inot aybe some banana/avo pudding it ta…

  • how long have you been raw? i hate to reiterate this point but, of course, could be detox (or if not detox, withdrawal) symptoms. hoowever to ease your discomfort i would recommend you live on smoothies (supplemented with seeds and oils if necessary…
  • the most important thing about going 100% if that’s what you want is not to psyche yourself out. its definitely not easy but its not an enormous struggle either (i speak from personal experience of course, others’ experiences may have been different…
  • i would try it, i don’t see the harm. i’m a little iffy about the salt water thing though.
  • hey misty, i am, need some advice?
  • yeah…it was definitely 4/20 that seemed to have thrown quite a few of us off track (temporarily!)
