  • Yea, I also heard that it is good to eat a variety of veggies, because of the oxalates, but I didn’t heard about the allergy thing. Well, another reason to be more careful As I know the veggies high in oxalates are the following: spinach, rhubarb, b…
  • It is said that the ideal time between meals is at least 4 hours, exceapt fruit which is digested faster. But as I know this is for those of on a cooked diet. I dunno, if it is the same for us. Well, another thing I can say is don’t eat until you fe…
  • willow, try wheat germ( you can get it dried at hfs, but be careful to buy a raw one) or sprouted wheat berries and wheatgrass, they are very good sources of protein and contain B12 too! If you eat enough protein, but don’t absorb it well you could …
  • I wish I knew where I have read this, but I don’t. Actually there are debates about it among the scientists. I know and experienced that spirulina is very good for you. Here are some info to back up my statement. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spiruli…

  • Be careful with spirulina, however it contains B12, it is said to be not the right kind and it acts against the body’s process to asssimilate B12 from food.

  • Walnuts, pine nuts, hazelnuts are generally raw. So you don’t have to worry about them. For the others go to: http://www.keimling.co.uk/.cms/Raw_nuts_macadam…

  • Yes, by law organic can NOT be GMO!!! At least in Europe, but I think in the remaining part of the world it is the same too.
  • it is true jenny, mine are blue and I noticed that on raw they became clearer and lighter. When I eat something cooked it turns darker again!
  • Noooooo way :(, my father is growing tomatoes and always gets his seeds from De Ruiter Seeds.
  • I agree with queenfluff too, If someone didn’t like a recipe I may would, and the opposite can be true too. First I just look over the ingredients, the appliances necessary to make it, then have a look at the comments. If I have everything for it an…

  • Well, I tried it and it works! I put them in one of my favs, zucchini hummus.
  • What about processing them into different pates? I’m going to try it today, I think it should work fine. Another idea is to put them into green smoothies, in them you can conceal any taste.
  • Well they are generally a bit bitter, but I think after you sprout them they will get less bitter.
  • It is strange, I remember my dreams very rarely, but when I do they are before a significal event of my life, before which I had been thinking about that a lot. These times my dreams are quite complicated and sometimes weird and unrealistic.

  • I think superfoods are necessary, well not soo necessary but they make you feel way better. I take grapeseed flour, kelp and aloe juice now, but it always varies what I get in my hfs. Maybe bee pollen will be the next I include again. It’s such and …

  • Samilicious, however most conventional corn are genetically modified, organic corn can’t be GM, because GM is not allowed in anything organic!
  • Be careful collagen and elastin supplements are usually not vegan :(
  • I agree with angie, if sprouted grains are ok. The sprouting process makes them exteremely nutritious and much more digestable. I eat sprouted buckwheat and quinoa very often.
  • I love buckwheat, barely, pea, alfalfa and lentil sprouts. I just sprouted some quinoa yesterday and made it into the tabouleh recipe from this site and it was super delicious! maybe you could put it in pates or raw soups. If I have excess sprouts t…
  • DO NOT USE BLEACH!!!! It is a very stupid idea to soak them in bleachy water. Bleach is very toxic. I agree with Luna blu, applying vinegar and hot water to the container should work!

  • Samilicious, generally if something is unusually big or too symetric you can suspect that it may be GM. Typical GM foods include: papaya, corn, rice, canola, potatoes, squash. Here’s a good source: http://www.truefoodnow.org/crop/pipeline_rdintr…
  • I think many hybrid food are too nutritious to avoid them. Fo example pineapple and kiwi are full of digestive enzymes, beets are very high in antioxidants and can help recover from cancer, carrots are the highest in carotin apart from the superfood…
  • They have gluten, but if you sprout them you may tolerate them better, this is what I heard. Maybe you should try it and see how you feel! As I know spelt has gluten too, maybe more than regular wheat ( cuz it has more protein too)!
