  • lol. I used to find frozen pizza bad even on a SAD diet. It basically is cardboard food anyways. flybaby, that sounds like a yummy smoothie. Pineapple and cinnamon goes together strangely well. Today was a little more difficult. I ran out of greens …
  • congrats heartshapedsky! SarahJ, The social aspect is probably the hardest part about being raw though, but good luck tomorrow :) Today went much better than yesterday for me. I had a berry smoothie, some salad made up of whatever random greens I ha…
  • Today was similar to yesterday, more coconut kefir with berries for breakfast. I made a small glass of green smoothie and finished up the durian for lunch, ate another of the tuna sandwiches later and finished the day with the rest of my fennel sala…
  • Coconut Kefir was finally ready so for breakfast I drank some of that mixed with frozen blackberries and strawberries. I ate half a durian for lunch and in the afternoon I made the shaved fennel salad recipe from g-living – highly recommended. For d…
  • Started the morning with a green smoothie (blackberries and mixed greens). Lunch was some veggies and dip. Snacks involved a small piece of chocolate cake and some strawberries. Now I’m off to go eat the rest of the kale salad and crab cakes.
  • Okay, today I had the arugula-blood orange smoothie on this site. I then made a large bowl of wilted kale salad which I ate throughout the day, plus a really yummy mango, and some crab cakes for dinner. Tomorrow I’ll try to eat less fat and more fru…
  • Ahhh! I’m not fully ready, or anywhere near ready. I need suggestions for some low nut recipes for dinner.
  • I’ve been slipping lately so count me in!
  • Yesterday I raided the library for all their books on wild greens. I plan to identify and try one new plant a day for a month. It’s actually quite fun, and doesn’t take a lot of time if you’re just learning bit by bit. MonsieurReality, there are pro…
  • According to Gabriel Cousens’ white foods (apples, cauliflower, radishes, chives, leeks, scallions, garlic, and onions) contain the phytonutrients allysulfides and quercitin. He suggested eating all different colours. Don’t even get me started on ho…

  • I got mine from The Body Shop for $10. It doesn’t have a handle, so if you want a smaller one it’s great. The bristles are natural too.
  • lovetobenatural, MSM is an organic form of sulphur which is quickly lost when we cook our foods. Also, because of pollution in our atmosphere its harder to obtain naturally. Check out this link: http://www.davedraper.com/msm.html One other thing to …
  • Are you 100% raw? I’ve noticed from experience that I’ve actually been warmer on 100% than anything else – even in the middle of winter. As for clearing arteries, msm and garlic help, as does lots of vit C.
  • Welcome to the site! Is that your cat? I’ve got a fluffy black/white one too.
  • BARF stands for ‘Bones and Raw Food’. Follow the link I posted above for more info. It’s basically the raw food diet but for dogs and cats and the book goes into detail about what percentage of meat and veggies they need. Cats need more meat because…
  • Yeah, try maybe emailing someone who’s really studied the BARF diet and knows a lot about feline nutrition. I’m used to giving all sorts of raw-food scraps to my dogs, but cats are different. Also, if you are going to start Blue Girl on a BARF diet,…
  • I second what mandelicious said. Cats won’t even scavange for food like dogs will and in their natural diet the only veggies they would really eat would be whatever their prey had predigested. I doupt it would harm the kitten but I don’t know if the…

  • I take some spirulina every morning. If taken with cilantro it’s a great way to remove any mercury you may have if you’ve ever eaten a lot of fish or have had silver fillings. One binds to the mercury and the other removes it from the cells.
  • Run far far away from most dieticians. The advice they’ve given to my dad was pretty bad. Enzymes will certainly help a lot. I’d also research which vitamins are absorbed by the portion of the intestine that you’re missing and try to eat more foods …
  • I was just researching msm and I found this site which said that in some people it can cause seizures. Here’s the link but I haven’t looked further into studies that back up the info. http://www.green999.com/msm.htm
  • Jubb’s Lifefood Recipe Book has a 100 day parasite flush: 1oz green black walnut 1oz wormwood 1oz clove 0.5oz male fern. Grind all herbs into a powder and take 1 level teaspoon of the mixture twice a day. Don’t just swallow it either, chew with sali…
  • I’d also say to use yacon root syrup. If you can’t find any then try some stevia.
  • On the blog she said she’d used this one: http://goneraw.com/recipes/2177-GingerBread-Treats But that it wasn’t exactly the way she wanted and that next she would try these: http://goneraw.com/recipes/2145-Gingerjacks http://rawinspiration.blogspot.…
  • I remember listing to an interview with David Wolfe where they tested that even boiled water causes an increase in white blood cell count. Water is actually a very complex substance – think of like a liquid crystal and you’ll get an idea of the stru…
  • I don’t think anyone is ever really free of candida as it’s supposed to be 15% of the naturally occurring intestinal bacteria, and does serve a purpose of its own. At least that’s what I’ve read. I’d recommend reading ‘Rainbow Green Live-Food Cuisin…
  • I wasn’t so much asking about Peter D’Adamo’s diet, but rather just the suggestions about certain lectins causing your blood to clump up. I find that after reading that I keep worrying that I shouldn’t eat as many olives as I do. doubleDlittleZ, I d…
  • Most of the salads on this site are pretty easy and yummy. They might make a good side dish. One of my favorite desserts is the strawberry cheesecake from g-living.com . . .Their fennel salad is also excellent. I posted a crab cake recipe which woul…
  • Try making coconut kefir or nut mylk kefir instead if you don’t like rejuvelac. You can also break open a capsule of bacteria into the rejuvelac if you want to control what you’re growing.

  • I don’t think I can watch the video either. I helped rehabilitate orphan seal pups one summer, and they are even cuter in person. How can anyone hurt a seal pup? That reminds me, I remember reading about a country/island (don’t quite remember) which…
