  • Newbie, Wow, either you had bad luck with the LaLane or I had good luck. I guess with anything you buy there are always a couple of lemons. Good luck with your juicer search.

  • I love my LaLane juicer. I have never had a problem with it and it is 2yrs old. I had a juiceman juicer that blew 2wks after I got it. Yes there are juicers such as the Champion that can homogenize, but I love the easy clean up with the LaLane. Anyt…

  • Just saw a news report that stated that one of the victims in the mauling was taunting the tiger. How sad for all involved!

  • Oh good! I hope it’s only a pesky muscle strain.
in Chest pains... Comment by spirit
  • Seize, I developed chest pain ( for 6 long weeks ) after I ate a very SAD meal after being raw for a couple of months, also I still get chest pain if I eat unsoaked nuts ( indigestion I guess ). Of course I recommend seeing an MD as you had mentione…

  • I work with the elderly and have to agree with Bluedolfin, they seem to love anything to keep them warm ie; throw blankets, robes,slippers/gripper socks ( with rubber soles to reduce risk of falls ). Our ladies also love nice smelling lotions and li…

  • Hello Rawvoice: I do know that most raw Macadamia nuts aren’t really raw. I ordered some truly raw Macadamia’s and they were very moist and the packaging stated a very short shelf life , not at all like the raw ones in the health food store. Zoe an…
  • I have never even been tempted to check out another forum. I guess my intuition was correct.
  • I love Mache, my mother grows it in her greenhouse in the severe winters of Maine. I don’t know that much about it but it must be hearty.

  • These poor almonds were all split in half and broken with brown scorch marks on them. They definately didn’t look like my sprouted almonds use to look.

  • Oh I almost forgot, most of the people never had pomegrante before. It was a great topic of conversation. Most loved it, a couple moved the seeds to the side of their plate.
in Christmas Salad? Comment by spirit
  • I made the most festive salad that all the sad eaters loved. It was beautiful! It was made up of about 10 diffrent types of fruits/berries,small pieces of mint herb, I mixed a little mixture of lemon juice with agave in with all of the fruit and put…

  • Bluedolfin: My first green smoothie was spinach, mango, pear, 2 bananas and strawberries and I still nearly choked with the taste of greens. As you can see, 2 yrs later my tastes have drastically changed. I just crave those greens in any form. Good …
  • congratulations on your first green smoothie! You may be surprised how your tastes and recipes will grow and change by leaps and bounds. I can know drink a kale smoothie with just kale and water and think nothing of it, I actually enjoy it.
  • Marichiesa, I know that “they” say it will heal on it’s own between 7-10 days—I have never had a yeast infection heal before the 10th day—even with medications. Give yourself a couple of days. I also use a special vaginal formula ( you take it by mo…

  • Yeast infections will usually go away within 7-10 days but UTI’s can move up to the kidneys and become dangerous if left untreated. I have only had 2 UTI’s in my life but cranberry and lots of water did the trick.

  • That is my same concern. I think keeping the fruit juice to a minimum, maybe just to make the green juice palatable. Although, I have been juicing greens with yellow and orange bell peppers and it is quite sweet and doesn’t spike my blood sugar. Als…
  • I don’t think I’m going to subscribe to the website but I do want to get Angela Stokes e-book. I believe I have the concept down—plus all of the juice feasting blogs are so helpful. I get bits and pieces of great info everyday.
  • Hi Neens, Doggie drama huh? I didn’t realize the importance of getting the 4 litres of juice in a day. I thought I was just missing the extra calories. That’s great information. I drink 2 litres a day when I’m on a juicing day, I’m going to have to …
  • Hello Neens: I have watched you videos on you-tube, I’m very inspired! I will definately be doing the 92 day global juice feast starting March 1st. I’m doing 1-2 days a week of just juice to get my body ready for it. I’m so glad that you are having…
  • 123, I was wondering about the fiber myself. I have done many water and juice fasts but I liked the idea of the amount of liquid and nutrients you consume in a juice feast in order to maintain your metabolism. I haven’t been able to find out all of …
  • Thank you everyone, yes a smoothie feast is always a good idea in my opinion. Yammygirl, thank you, I guess the straining of the smoothie was the part I was missing ( makes sense ). I am actually going to order the book but was interested in any oth…
  • I do understand that, but juice feasting seems to be different from fasting. I’m just trying to figure out all of the differences.
  • My tastes have definately changed. I don’t like the sweet green smoothie anymore, now I love my homemade V8… spinach, lemon, tomatoe and garlic…YUMMMERS
  • Yeah Zoe! our Savior!
  • There’s no better cheese than forbidden cheese.
  • I wasn’t able to open up the recipe either:(
  • Thank you Zoe, I just came from our am meeting at work and someone brought in a homemade cheeseball. It took everything I had not to jump on the table and start eating it. Did I mention I’m a little hormonal as well right now. I look forward to tryi…
