  • I feel for you! I was really sick with both my pregnancies for the first 3-4 months. Didn’t matter what I ate, all came out. So I choose foods that tasted good at the “second” time too, when I vomited. =) It will pass, just hang in there.

  • Just wanted to share my experience with you about my kids. This was before I was raw or even heard about this lifestyle. I breastfed both my kids until they were two years old. For my oldest son (he is now 11) at about the age of 5-6 months I introd…
  • I’ve been thinking about getting a colonics too. But I feel very unconfortable going to a stranger to perform something so intimate.
  • Great tips! thanks. I will be in Chicago at a Trade Show for 10 days. Although Chicago is a great place to be raw, I do plan on bringing some ingredients with me so I wouldn’t spend an arm and a leg on food. Also, I will probably buy some stuff at t…
  • JoyceH – No, I wouldn’t. But I think there are different reasons for being vegetarians. If it doesn’t bother her, than who are we to judge her choices? I guess, what I am trying to say, that there are social pressures and everybody has set their pri…
  • Trouble, You are most welcome here!!! If you eat meat becasue of social commitments, that is absolutely fine. It is your choice and nobody should judge you for that. I found myself eating some cooked foods too, because I didn’t want to hurt somebody…
  • Trouble, just saw your reply about the Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, That’s too funny! Maybe I can get a business trip to Missouri and visit that brewry. It sounds really good! Sweetpea, – you made me smile about the meat, potatoes and sour cream, how acc…
  • 1sweetpea, You’re not a “bad vegan”!! =) I have had similar experience. As a child I grew up in a small town in Hungary. We had chickens, rabbits and ducks. My grandma use to kill the chickens, cut its throat then steam it and pluck it. Horrible! An…
  • Trouble , I received my first bottle of Chimay as a gift, along with the special glasses with the logo on. and there it is, love at first sight! (taste to be more precise =) ) I live in Sarasota, FL,. Yiengling has a brewry in Tampa. I like Sierra N…
  • Wow Trouble! That’s my favourite too! Not many people ever heard about it.
  • I would call myself vegetarian. But I am mostly raw “beegan”. Occasianly at social gatherings I eat cheeze that are sprinkled on salads, or the dressing they have, I’m sure it’s not raw, but that’s ok. I also like good “gourmet” beer and wine. Haven…
  • I follow some basic food combining rules but not rigidly. Just like MOTH, I found that for me fruits don’t work with anything else. Also, you’re right BrightseyeLA about the nuts. But, if you restrict yourself too much, than how can you enjoy eating…

  • I wish you all the best on your journey without coffee. I was the same way as you Nothinkingbehind. Love coffee with real cream and really strong. I gave up coffee back in May. It wasn’t easy! I was a very heavy coffee drinker, one espresso in the m…

  • Yes queenfluff, this is real. I know my company does a search on the web for all applicants. And my boss is very strict about it too. If he doesn’t like your facebook page, then no chance for an interview.
  • I had dandruff in one spot for a while and I rubbed tree tea oil with vitamin E on it. I left it on overnight and washed my hair in the morning. It stinks though! you might want to put a cap on for the night. Also, as TomsMom said, vinegar rinse is …

  • wow, you guys spend a lot of money on food! I go to the local farmer’s market every weekend and buy produce for about $50. the rest of the family is not raw, or vegan, so we spend about another $20-30 in the grocery store for all the “other” stuff. …

  • Exactly Trouble! If they can continue their bad practices without any consequneces, than the 700 bil will go down the drain and we will find ourselves in deeper trouble.

  • I got this in an email chain, I thought share it with you guys; “The American Taxpayer Economic Recovery Plan Hi all, I'm against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG. Instead, I’m in favor of giving $85,000,000,000 to America in a We Deserve It Di…
  • I’ve been watching this too. Just can’t believe all these ‘smart bankers” could not see this coming. What a mess! On one hand, if it were to pass, I could get the loan that I am applying for a to buy a business. On the other hand I think it is absul…
  • Yeah, I was thinking about multitasking too, but I really enjoy the dry brushing and didn’t want to spoil it. So I dry brush, get the oil in my mouth, swoosh, shower, swoosh, wash my hair, swoosh some more, put coconut oil on my skin and spit out th…
