  • I had this same exact problem. My throat was so sore and I had sores on my tongue too. They went away in a few days. Good luck!
  • Thanks you guys!
  • Yes, I think you can eat them after only soaking. Although it will not give you all of the nutrients that sprouting them will, it still releases some of the nutrients. I have so much fun with Buckwheat groats. I usually soak them from 6-8 hours. I s…

  • I just used my new slicer with zucchini. It worked well after I figured out how to use it:) What else works well as “spaghetti” noodles?
  • Good to know! I just got my spiral slicer in the mail and am so excited to try it tonight.
  • Perhaps it is the natural sugar that we are addicted to. Plus I think it feels good to eat sweets that aren’t killing us. Knowing the ingredients are raw and healthy enables us to explore and eat more sweets than we usually would. Just an idea.
  • Zoe, good point about some nuts not truly being raw. I use “flora” olive oil. The label says “unrefined and cold-pressed.” I hope this is truly raw. Which do you use? Also, when I buy flax seeds from my co-op they come in bulk and are labeled as “or…

  • I was on itunes looking for just that. I cannot find any particularly relating to raw food. There are some podcasts, but nothing I have found so far has been especially helpful. Good question. I would love to know!

  • right. They have been heated several times. You have to get them before they are rolled out-as “oat groats.”
  • Thanks deborhann! How long have you kept them in the fridge? What do you use them for?
  • Thank you. I could freeze them. Good point. I just spoke with someone from my grocery store and they said that unless the oat groats have been sprouted they will not go rancid. This is the opposite of everything I have heard. I will play it safe and…
  • First of all I chop the kale up so it relaxes easier. This way the marinade reaches all of it. I cut up a tomato for the salad, but first I gently squeeze the tomato juice over the lettuce. To that I add lemon juice, olive oil and sea salt. It takes…

  • I marinate my kale salad overnight all the time. It works really well and is so good when it takes on the flavors of the marinade and is soft. Good luck!
