  • Yeah, I hear you powerlifer. Scotland is beautiful but it has it's downsides I guess. :-)
  • I live in Manchester, England. You'd never know it was supposed to be summer here, its been grey and rained every day for the past 3 weeks. :-( I love this city in so many ways but the sh*t weather does my nut in.
  • rawcanadian, you're right of course, I was referring to D3. I'm taking D2 supplements and aiming to get out in the sun more (if it ever shows it's face!)
  • Thanks greenwood, I do actually have some good B12 supplements but if I find myself near a Lidl, I may drop in. (If not only to pick up that huge bag of spinach you say they do!)
  • kimciotola, other than eating animal based products, vit D can only naturally be sourced from the sun. I live in the North West of the UK and have an office based job which doesn't allow for me to get enough sunshine. I'm not a fan of supplements bu…
  • Just been looking into this myself as tests have shown I'm deficient in vit D. It's pretty hard trying to weight up which supplements to go for.
  • lilabet, I know exactly what you mean about guessing the drying time. I still have this problem now and even if I'm making the same thing, it's different each time. I tend to dehydrate stuff at the weekends when I can be around to keep checking. It'…
  • Unless you're dehyrating really strong flavoured food, I don't think it would matter to stagger different things at different times. I've done it before and not had any issues. hope this helps!
  • Just had a quick look at that blog and some of the recipes look amazing! Cheers for posting and welcome back. :-)

  • Many people say that heavy cooked food can numbs and suppresses our true emotions. Often, when people go raw, they are no longer able to keep these emotions hidden and all kinds of unexpected feelings can bubble up to the surface. I believe there ar…
  • It's great isn't it!? I love it when things like that happen! Our office orders in bacon butties every Friday morning and they're actually quite sweet as they get me a nice fruit salad instead. Anyway, the other week, a few of the others said they f…

  • Hiya! Sprouting at home is dead easy and a great way to get protein/nutrients. Mung beans, lentils and quinoa are all simple/quick to sprout and you can add them to salads, make patties/burgers, add them to wraps, etc. Check out http://www.sproutpeo…
  • You may have just hit a minefield asking about agave nectar! My best advice is to do a search on other threads that cover this topic as it's been widely and heatedly discussed on this site. You may also want to read this article which has recently b…
  • Some great advice above but thought I'd throw in my 2 pence worth. On a Sunday evening, I sit down and come up with a few meal ideas for the week. I don't always plan an exact schedule, but at least a rough idea on a few things I'm going to prepare.…
  • Unless you're planning on doing a LOT of dehydrating, just get a 5 tray. I only have a baby 4 tray one and it's fine for me. :-)

  • Hi Cara, that sounds pretty difficult but I have a couple of pieces of advice. Don't make a huge deal over going/being raw as this tends to make things worse, just tell people it's decision you've made because it makes you feel really good. People o…
