  • I’m starting to get the hang of both young and mature coconuts. It’s hell till you’ve figured it out. Here’s a great explanation with pictures: http://www.rawguru.com/openyoungcoconut.html
  • I got detox pimples on my chest but not my face! My face has been perfect – better than ever! I don’t know about those colonics. I have a friend who got one and said it was hell. I’d rather do a salt flush. Plus it’s free.

  • ...um not so for me!!
  • ...oh and forage. It gets you into nature and it’s so much fun! This website shows edible wild plants: http://www.wildmanstevebrill.com/ Soon I’ll be gathering dandelion, chicory, pounds of berries, and other wild foods. I had an elderly woman who …
  • Sprouting is cheap. Eat tops of vegetables – we stupidly discard these nutritious edible parts – like carrot and raddish tops.
  • This may not cure your condition but it should help with any phlegm you might have – oil pulling. You’ll be surprised at what you cough up and how your teeth will whiten in just a few days. www.oilpulling.com. Good luck getting over it.
  • I’ve already saved my email address to my profile for that very reason! :)
  • Kundalalita, I’m on a Master Cleans now, so I’ve stopped oil pulling, but I’ve definitely got some detox issues going on that are connected to that stink that came up – on the MC my breath has gotten pretty rancid. Hopefully whatever it is is coming…

  • I’ve been oil pulling about a week now and everyday I pull up a small ball of phlegm, not more cuz I’m not sick. My teeth have gotten whiter. They’ve always been white, but not my canines – now even they’re white. Anyway, today something nasty happe…

  • Oil pulling seems to be beneficial to teeth, gums, and even the respiratory system as it “pulls” up mucous. It’s also purported to pull toxins through your saliva glands. I’ve been doing it for about a week, and my teeth got whiter (an added bonus) …
  • Even tiny sips of wine send me into tachycardia for hours…beer doesn’t much, but clearly alcohol isn’t for me, so I avoid it almost 100%.

  • No need to add water, just let the bananas or other fruit partly defrost. I let my defrost about a half-hour, that way they’re soft enough to get going. ;)
  • This isn’t hard science, but it is natural science…I’ve never seen any animal but humans eat cooked food. Not one. No, we’re not like other animals, but we really aren’t so different, especially since we evolved in the same environment.

  • One of the best things she can do is exercise – like jogging. Jogging has been proven to be just as effective if not more than anti-depressants in many individuals. Of course, having such a small baby might make finding time to jog hard, but she cou…
  • I’ve had goji berries and maca, neither of which has given me any additional kick, but honestly, I don’t really know what to expect. Can anyone tell us about other superfoods? I only know of like five.

  • I’ve just decided to tag along!! Today’s my first day and it’s been a breeze…my husband just called and I asked him what he wanted for dinner and he said, “some of your lemonade.” I’m so grateful to have such a supportive husband!!
  • I doubt it – they’re way too dry and crispy.
  • Is it freshly shredded? I mean did you shred it or buy it? Cuz the store bought ones (really dry) seem to last forever, whereas I’ve noticed fresh coconut only seems to stay fresh about 5 days.
  • Sarm, there are so many awesome recipes on this site. Here are my two current favorites: http://www.goneraw.com/recipes/2909-Cacao-Raspb… http://www.goneraw.com/recipes/334-Raw-Chocolate It makes you fall in love with chocolate!!

  • Here in Italy most of the dairy cheeze is non pasteurized. It’s absolutely to die for and although I do my best MOST of the time to avoid it, sometimes something sneaks in – like when eating out or when I get a massive sweet gorgonzola craving…I kee…
  • One of the easiest last-ditch meals is the green smoothie, which when made with kale or some fibrous green is incredibly satisfying, although maybe boring!!
  • Mercola.com has a vision repairing product (I think a series of exerciese) that is guaranteed. It’s a little pricey so you might find someone else will to share in on it. My brother in law used to wear reading glasses and has now stopped cuz of it. …
  • Forgot to add, my Mom’s so much better when when she swims a lot. There’s a very heated pool near where she lives in L.A. for people with health issues like hers that’s free for people with certifiable cases. Seeing your picture reminded me!
  • My Mom’s had RA for about 20 years now. I can definitely say that she’s at her best when staying on top of her diet (no meat, no dairy, no citrus (growth factor food)). Unfortunately she’s never been disciplined about diet and now she’s eating loads…
  • I sprout my almonds by soaking them for maybe 3 or 4 days – always changing the water 3 times daily. After the 2nd day they sprout little tails, and at the fourth they start cleaving. The problem with this method is that it doesn’t work for all almo…
  • There was a post in the last few days about MSM and how it helps a lot with scarring. My adult acne cleared up when I cut out dairy, red meat, and wheat, as did my allergies and perennial gas bloat. I love calendula oil for scars.

  • I’ve seen it done on YouTube, although I haven’t done it. Apparently the oilier nuts don’t require too much work or additional oil, but nuts like almonds need more. here’s link to a demo with a juicer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GzA6ljXSkts or …
