  • Thanks, Chris. I’m closer to Richmond and approx 1 hr 40 mins from Staunton. I’d like to get it from the source, but that would be nearly 3.5 hrs round-trip. Considering that it might be 10 sessions, it adds up. That’s why I was considering those lo…

  • well, you can’t have it all – cheap and available during scarcity. I’ve only seen plantains cooked too, but we could probably experiment. They might be good as a milk (with dates, cinnamon, and maybe nutmeg) or in smoothies with a few dates.

  • I hope that everyone understands that we won’t be without bananas – only the variety that Chiquita popularized. There was a thread on this about a week ago, but I can’t find it. We will still have other varieties, so don’t sweat it ;-)

  • I’ve had this problem since taking E3Live algae. I’ve read that it can be due to being too alkaline. I checked my urine for Ph value and it was at the most alkaline level on the test strip. Since discovering this, I cut back on the algae to just 1 T…

  • When I was growing up, my mom used to take whole green onions and eat them with dip too. She’d just dip them in and crunch. I like the pickle idea too
  • I’ve gotten spring onions every week for the past month or so in my CSA too :-). I usually don’t OD on onions, but these are so delicious and seasonal that I couldn’t resist. I used them in thai slaw, mock tuna, and guacamole. For the asparagus, you…

  • your house sounds like mine. I haven’t been able to get rid of them. I’m there with you and curious to hear any suggestions. It’s particularly annoying when you have guests over bc it gives the impression that you have dirty house.
  • someone else posted that a tbs of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water works. I haven’t tried it, but it’s simple and worth a try. also, you can do a salt water flush master cleanse style. I have done this and it’s very effective
  • I catch them in glass jars with a sheet of paper, then release outside. They don’t want to sting you unless they feel threatened. So, remain calm. Tell them that you’d like them to live outside. Then, let them go. It’s easy
  • farmeral – thank you for your post and thank you for producing and supplying alive almonds to us all. :-)

  • I wonder if this only affects the most popular type of banana – the one we see most often in the stores. Does this also impact red bananas, finger bananas, plantains, and others? just curious
  • I used to live in SJ. I don’t know of any specific raw restaurants, but there is a juice bar and cafe (fresh made juice right in front of you) downtown SJ on 2nd street near San Carlos (don’t remember the name). You can also find Vietnamese and Mexi…
