  • Well I looked at the coconut oils they have on that website and it looks like they aren’t naturally liquid but heated until they become that way. The extra virgin cold pressed unrefined coconut oil I have is not liquid but it turns to liquid almost …
  • Dairy products already cause your body to create extra mucus. I’ve never reacted well to dairy but it got especially bad whenever I had after I went raw. Then multiply that by ten when dairy and sugar are combined(ice cream, etc). haha.
  • Caleb-I don’t know scientifically how this works but I do know that any time I consume alcohol, meat, or dairy I get a sinus headache, pressure and definitely tons of running nose
  • I think I’d be out numbered as I’m a conservative. Oh, and one draw back to having a political section is that this is an international site. Other countries politics often are very unknown to most.
  • Thank you!!! I know it’s not easy but believe me it’s soo worth it for us who use this right. I can’t tell you how nice it is to have you two to help us out.
  • Every time I come on here I crave this so I’m going to make it again tonight! I’m hungry thinking about!
  • I also omitted the nuts. I can’t handle them very well and my husband is highly allergic
  • Yes! I love this stuff. I was just talking about it on another thread. I brought it to a party and didn’t mention it was raw and it was a huge hit. I served it like hummus with veggies to dip in it and also crackers. I love it on salads, lettuce wra…
  • haha sounds awesome! I adore coconut oil and honey so that should be good. I’ll look into raw cocoa to see what will work with me. I haven’t used any yet because I’m a little scared. I have put normal cocoa in my nana milk once and it didn’t do anyt…
  • mmm yummy. I may have some problems since I have NO tolerance to any sugar(I can do honey and all fruits) and I”m not sure how I’ll react to cocoa. But I’ll give it a whirl to see! Any non raw chocolate I’ve had since I went raw was a sheer disaster…
  • I’ve been dying to try raw chocolate. I missed out on it at the last raw fest I was at because I couldn’t find the stand. But next time I won’t stop looking! Do they have similar consistencies as normal chocolates?
  • I’ve done pesto and it’s always a hit. With the cheese I served veggies to dip it in and also crackers. Both were eaten completely. Probably the crackers first. Almost everyone thought it was hummus. haha. Pesto is the same. I serve it with veggies …
  • yeah, I was thinking of doing a raw pie for Thanksgiving and bringing it without telling anyone it was raw and see what the reaction is. Seriously, they’re sooo good!
  • I totally brought Zoe’s Spring Onion Seed Cheese to a non raw, non vegan get together and everyone freaked out because it was so awesome. I then told them it was raw and none of them believed me! So they all asked for the recipe and are making it th…
  • a potluck is a get together where everyone brings a dish of food to share. They’re really fun because you can try everyone else’s dishes and get great ideas!
  • yeah that’s outrageous! I don’t know how much my blender costs because it was a gift but what with that and my food processor I’m set!
  • hmmm, I eat rasberries and avocados. But I haven’t eaten them alot lately since at least here in the midwest an avocado is over two dollars. But I’ll try to incorporate more cauliflower and rasberries.
  • What about biotin? I have biotin tablets from before I went raw to help my dry skin and fingernails. It’s a B complex.
  • Even if MamaMilk’s husband doesn’t get on here she’s extremely helpful and knowledgeable on the subject so you can always ask her too. I’m sure she’d be happy to oblige:)
  • Yeah, I see your point. However,(this is totally a personal thing and I’m cool with any disagreement you have with it) my fast and most forty day fasts are for spiritual reason. I’m a Christian and the point of water fasts for us is to rely on God t…
  • I’ve known and heard of several people who do forty day water fasts that never had that problem. I only did a six day fast but I never experienced anything negative like that.
  • matt, wow! Very impressive that you have made it to day seven. I recently did a six day fast and by day four I felt like I could go on forever because my body was completely done detoxing. I had no bad breath, no BO, no pain anywhere and I was full …
  • I’ve heard of people getting constipated when their fat content wasn’t high enough. I’d add more avocados and maybe olive oil to something or other and see if it helps:) I haven’t had any problems with constipation since I went raw but last week I f…

  • amen, I didn’t get up the nerve to try it
  • oh really? Sounds good. I’ve always though hyssop was a cool plant. Now I can use it!
  • Thanks everyone for your suggestions! I ended up doing hot water with lemon and raw honey. I really soothed me. All of my friends keep telling me to do the netti pot but I have a really bad reaction to anything going up my nose. Maybe someday I’ll g…
  • Ewwww!!!! But I’ll try it. ha
  • I mostly get the whole “Really? Do you like it?” kind of reaction. No one really gets it at all. There are a few people who seem to be interested but it’s more of awe type of interest and they always say they couldn’t do it. But they see me and how …
