  • I recently did a water fast and I highly recommend them. make sure you do it for at least six days. I drank water and occasionally lemon water. I didn’t get hungry but I definitely had a major detox on the third night so be ready for that. Mine was …
  • I wish I could make my living off of doing raw lifestyle things....unfortunately I'm stuck in this office. I don't care for any nuts, beans, grains, etc but I enjoy dates every once in a while.
  • good fasting to you. I know it’s a rough but incredibly rewarding journey. You’re a far more focused faster than I am. I definitely respect your endurance.
  • haha most dread and yet most involving are the religion and politics. I enjoy the threads about things like how to use coconut oil, skin brushing, and anything related to beauty. All that stuff fascinates me. My all time favorite recipe on here is a…
  • awww queenfluff! My mom has the exact same problem with mountains and what not. I know it really sucks. She pretty much closes her eyes and tries to think about other things. It’s all about trust. I know you trust your bf so let him do his thing. It…
  • eww raw meat?! I hope you’re right pianissima. I hope they don’t put any of that stuff on here. I’m loving raw vegan more and more. This site has helped me so much in that way
  • hmm, your dreams could be emotional detox. The way I stick to my raw food diet is when I started I wrote out a sheet with rules, regulations and exceptions. I made it so that things that were important to me like tea and coffee and honey(I didn’t kn…
  • jadams-also, don’t feel like you have to be 100% raw right away. Everyone is different and if you eat raw and have occasional ezekiel tortillas you’re eating better than 99% percent of humans
  • I broke out two different times from detox. Once when I went raw and once after I started oil pulling. Now my skin is fabulous and it healed really really fast. My advice, don’t use chemical products on your skin. Coconut oil and baking soda scrub i…
  • TomsMom-haha “unless you plan to lay out on a field on your belly and gently graze” that is the best line I’ve heard all day. So funny and so true.
  • thank you waterbaby! That’s a really great tip
  • I also eat alot of conventional but for things that have very thin skin and absorb alot(like carrots, greens, apples etc.) I buy organic. Those are often the most cheap ones too. I can’t afford and don’t have access to 100% organic.
  • meditating-hahahaha that was funny. yeah, that pic is messed up.
  • yeah! banana will be great. Okay, genius about de-veining. I should have thought of that! Glad to help and glad you don’t have to waste! Happy green drinking!
  • collard greens work great in green smoothies! You may want to add some coconut oil or something because they tastes really ‘green’ if you know what I mean. haha
  • itourist. This is not just one smoothie a day. It’s only smoothies(green) for an entire month without any other eating.
  • I’d totally join except I plan on feasting(raw-ly) on Thanksgiving. I can’t not eat ANYTHING during the holidays. I fulling intend to stay raw with perhaps a few cooked vegan items here and there. So, Maybe I’ll do this in January…
  • Tomsmom-I totally agree that’s it’s crazy when they isolate so much that they don’t allow their children to take advantage of education and the perks of being bilingual. However, even though I definitely notice a certain ‘overlooking’ of the elderly…
  • Well, what I meant by ‘sacrifice’ was that my vote won’t go for someone that has the possibility of becoming a president. Probably should have used different wording though. I really don’t mean to act like a martyr. Thanks for making me aware:)
  • I so agree with that. Thanks for posting that quote. It’s encouraging to hear that when so many people have political quarrels.
  • hey worley, thanks for saying what you said about voting. It’s nice to hear that since all I hear these days is that I’m throwing my vote away by voting libertarian. I feel that I’m just attempting to vote with my true values and I can’t find it any…
  • aspire-thanks! I really enjoy your posts. I didn’t feel talked down to, I just wanted to make sure you didn’t think that I was against what you were talking about. I’m very much for it. I just think our society isn’t. haha.
  • chris-haha good one. But I’m just saying, though I am all for it, some people are really really into their lifestyles. Maybe with the economic times things will change but with out something drastic I don’t see many people out there willing. I plan …
  • aspire-I can’t watch the videos you’ve posted since I’m at work(I’ll try to remember to watch them when I get home). I ‘get’ the idea but I just think that we as humans and as a society will never be able to go there. There is to much need for thing…
  • Chris-there is only one problem with your ideal. We as humans have an innate sense of ownership over what we in either small or large ways achieve. It is a part of our self worth. Dagny wanted to become a lawyer and she set her mind to and achieved …
  • Chris-dagny is a hard working woman who earns over 200k. It’s far harder to be a lawyer than to flip burgers.
  • That’s such a good point Dagny. I don’t make over $200k but does it matter? If I did I would be working hard to earn that and probably very independent from the government. If they don’t provide important services in my life(healthcare, public trans…
  • I have to go to a health food store to get anything like persimmons and it isn’t very close to where I live. As far as I know you have to be involved in some sort of business to be a member at Costco. Is that true?
  • 1) bananas 2)Mangoes and Pineapples! 3) tomatoes, lettuce, apples, bananas, carrots
  • I know that for brown recluse bites(I don’t think that’s what you have because your whole body would feel bad) and possibly other spider bites if you slice an onion in half and lay it cut end down on the bite it really pulls out venom and treats any…
