  • I sometimes feel guilty picking the plants I’ve grown myself…after tenderly caring for them until they are grown, they almost become like little children! And I also feel partly bad that I am taking away from the birds and local groundhogs that woul…

  • I also have a terrible sweet tooth. i mean bad!!!!! And I love pudding, but don’t want to load it up with nuts, etc. My staple sweet treat right now is chia pudding. I just take 2 ripe peaches, or you can use mango/ banana, etc, and blend with a bit…
  • now that I think of it…. i used to get these a lot when I had braces too! I think being strep free for so long, those holes in my tonsils have closed up quite a bit, so the food doesn’t get stuck back in there. I’ll bet sea salt gargles before bed h…
  • I found something about them….. here is a link to some pictures.. pretty gross, so just a warning! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tonsilloliths
  • thanks loorin… luckily i stopped getting strep.. I worked in an elementary school for 3 years and that was the last time I ever really got colds, flu, etc. Think i built up an immunity to it!
  • is that what that stuff is??? I used to get those things as a kid…. haven’t had them in years, but now that i think about it, I used to be on antibiotics a lot before my teen years… always got strep throat (about 30 times) and have all of these hole…
  • i’ve had a low grade fever off and on for 4 months now. it is due to chronic urinary tract infections. seems to be getting better, but that could be one reason. Usually an infection somewhere in the body will give you that type of response
  • i’ve been in about a month and a half and have only lost 5 lbs. everyone loses and gains at a different rate. don’t quit!
  • I figured out why i was so hungry! I have about 25 pounds of peaches from a pick your own orchard, and have been trying to eat them before they go bad. I had no idea a peach is only about 40 calories! I’ve been mostly stuffing myself with like, 8 a …
  • not really sure… I think since I started this way of eating, I have just become more thoughtful of what my body is going through. I used to get sugary cravings… just don’t remember my tummy feeling this empty!
  • i am a sculptor… i make tiny little fairies and sell them online and at doll shows. I also teach classical guitar. I love my work, but alas I am so broke! To get affordable health insurance I put in a few hours at a bookstore, which helps. I totally…
  • It is tough to get too much through greens… a single serving of greens is a huge pile! It is easier to do if you are juicing every day. My neighbor turned orange when she started juicing lots of carrots. I mean a tall glass of straight carrot juice …

  • yes it is possible. I am not too familiar with cactus, but if herbaceous plants get too much salt, they can start to decline. The salt levels keep building up in the soil, and can’t get washed away unless you irrigate the plant for about 10 minutes …
  • hmm…...... cactus are usually resistant to the usual insects around here….. is the white stuff chalky?? It could just be a buildup of salts or minerals from the water you are using. It usually shows up on terra cotta pots versus plastic. I used to w…
