  • also, are you washing your greens with veggie wash and rinsing them really well before blending? Some veggie washes are made from concentrated citrus, which could cause rash/ blisters, etc.
  • Yikes! what type of dishwashing liquid do you use? I noticed that my blender has a tiny gap at the bottom where seed bits/ other nasties can get stuck. Maybe it is that, or there is a residue inside the blender that isn’t getting rinsed out?
  • don’t need fermented. Just sounded kind of fun to make~ like a science project!
  • also.. isn’t it crazy how doctors and nurses smoke like smokestacks?
  • as long as you are getting all the vitamins and minerals you need, it shouldn’t be a problem. Scalp massages will help blood circulation to the area and stimulate hair growth. This is where my hubby comes in handy! I never trusted my first doctor… h…
  • I know that we never ate them once the bean bumps were visible from the outside of the pod. not for toxic reasons, just because they were too tough. Most veggies change when they begin to go to seed. Maybe it is to protect themselves from being eate…

  • hooray!!!! hope you are feeling better. I swear. this past 3 weeks of raw, I have realized that this is the first time in my life that my number two has ever been normal. It was quite a revelation!
  • thumbs up for the coconut oil suggestion!
  • probably vitamin D. vitamin D3 is found mainly in animal sources, primarily the liver of fish. Very few plant sources of D, and most are D2, which you need vast amounts more than D3 to be used by the body. It takes 6 weeks for the vitamin to start w…
  • what is the soaked texture like? is it really chewy, or slimy? I have been eyeing these lately and wondering
  • i have pus on the back of my throat now….. i’m beginning to think it is an infection :(

  • I use tons of greens in my smoothies too. one or two big handfuls. I stuff that blender.. it all goes down anyway. I like my green drinks bright green!
  • i think the burning is from the pineapple. too much can give a rough burning sensation in the mouth. Usually I just put a few chunks in, and a huge handful of kale
  • shakes13t.. i love that you play kazoo! I play/teach classical, flamenco guitar… dabble in sitar, piccolo, didgeridoo, and still trying to play some decent drums. Rhythm is something i really have to work hard at
  • my hair was always sooooo dry, and I conditioned after each wash. When it got too dry, i cut it short. After that stopped using conditioner. It’s long again, still don’t need conditioner, and it’s no longer dry. I am convinced that conditioner weake…

  • what i don’t get is, why do people pay 15.00 for frozen wheatgrass when they can grow their own so cheaply in just a few days? Plus you can control how it gets its nutrients
  • isn’t cellulose the inside wall of the plant (ie. the roughage?) that’s the part used to make paper, etc. If wheat grass is indeed taken in juice form, isn’t the cellulose (undigestible roughage) left behind in the pulp? that’s what makes me think t…
  • I am new to raw, almost a month now, and have lost 4 lbs. I am not really looking to lose weight, but noticed my hips and belly have shrunk a bit, more so than when I lost 4 lbs on SAD. I am 5’4” and currently weight 130.
  • sounds like a good basic recipe. I just made a double batch…. half is savory with herbs, onion, garlic, and the other half has cinnamon and ginger. Very versatile
  • the tool is veeeeerrrry expensive. I think in the thousands. I buy a spray bottle of it (pet store finally sells it. Earth’s balance puts it out… i only wish it came in a bigger bottle. it costs about $10, but lasts a long time. It’s good for people…
