  • Thanks, Love. And a huge congrats for doing a 22 day juice feast. That is indeed an accomplishment and you've inspired me to pursue a monthlong feast. I will take your advice and just listen to my body instead of making it about, how long can I go! …
  • I agree about the colonics and enemas. I think in moderation for the first two weeks of a Juice Feast, it is perfectly good for you. However I am weary of those who choose to do colonics, which are EXTREMELY potent, on a very consistent basis. While…
  • Ah, that is wonderful : ) It's difficult to judge a person's true appearance based on grainy online photographs and videos. I agree that Angela is radiant. To be honest, most of her beauty comes from her incredible soul. It is tangible, how lovely h…
  • Superfood, it's funny that you mentioned that thing about Angela Stokes. Coming from someone who looks up to Angela Stokes and thinks she is a beacon of light to all raw vegans...when I first saw her picture, I actually thought the EXACT same thing.…
  • Wow, thanks for the responses guys! SV3 - I completely resonate with taking it slowly. I'm going into the feast with the mentality of 2 weeks, and if I feel grand I'll go for 30 days max. I think I was approaching the feast with the wrong mindset. 9…
  • I study Chinese medicine and your post caught my eye. Traditional Chinese medicine would say that you need to nourish your blood with animal essences like meat and bones, and that during your menses you shouldn't eat too many raw foods. I completely…
  • Yes i have Hawaiian Spirulina! It truly is not THAT bad when I taste it...it's the smell that's most funky, imo.
  • ohmigod that sounds DIVINE> thanks for sharing!!!! : )
  • i agree with bitt : ) it truly is worth the buy too!
  • LOL, this is hilarious. I'm Bangladeshi and grew up with lots of smelly Indian food. Indians may eat vegetarian food but they sure love frying cheese and eating desserts laden with cheese and syrup. And flatulenty smelling dishes ;-)
  • Thanks for the input. Parchment paper it is. I agree - it's not that great for breads, I've tried before, but alas it is all that I have.
  • THANK YOU for the comments!

  • Thankfully, the seller is a decent and kind person and is refunding me for the dehydrator. All is not lost : )
  • I checked the website and they have a bunch of replacement parts. I'm not sure which one is the heating element, but I'm going to have an appointment by phone with an Excalibur tech guy next week so maybe he can explain what to do. Thanks so much fo…
  • oh and the plate was not warm at all. it was a steel bowl.
  • Thank you so much for your thoughts. Actually, yes the food had been in the refrigerator. I hope that it isn't broken. To be quite honest, though, I think it is broken because when I put it at the highest temperature (140 degrees) it still feels lik…
  • ah, thank you for the response!
