  • Either a)Feed yourself a healthy cooked vegan meal everyday, that way you won't binge eat. or b)Eat more raw foods like fruit. Anyway , here is a document I wrote, first time posting it, let me know what you think: Here is an easy way to calculate h…
  • b12 is a bacteria, so it's ok to take it by pill form. It is also found in animal products. If you are vegan , it is highly recommended to take b12. In large doses it will not hurt you. I take 1000 IU eat day.
  • Does this self-test work?? http://altmedangel.com/iodine.htm
  • I always recommend vitamin D and B12 and to do a yearly check to make sure your levels are adequate. D you can get from the sun so if you spend a lot of time outdoors it should most likely be ok. B12 is stored in your body, it is a bacteria, and it …
  • I would give up coffee the same way people quit everything else. In order to quit alcohol, i had to make a list of the reasons why, and read it over if i got a craving. And then it comes down to willpower, and i was drinking a lot of tea and bringin…

  • This is a raw vegan forum - no eggs, no milk, no meat. If you want to include them it is fine, it is YOUR CHOICE!!! If you have dogs/cats , you could feed them the eggs. (raw or cooked) but if they haven't had raw eggs i would introduce it to them s…

  • "As for your eczema and zit problem. Can you tell me what you would eat on an average day?" could be detox.
  • It's funny how what is written in 80 10 10 keeps coming up as true. Take some supplements that aren't raw to deal with one problem, which in turn will create an imbalance somewhere else in the body and create a new problem. For the new problem we ta…

  • WARNING: IM NO EXPERT!!! durianrider is a cyclist, long distance, so you could read about what he eats. Then if you were really serious, i would check out this link: http://community.vitamix.com/service/searchEverything.kickAction?as=22442&media…
  • BTW - 30 bananas is 51% iron one pound spinach is 68%. that's is 119% iron, 63% calcium, and 51g protein !!! (63% may be enough)
  • Where do u live??
  • It sounds like a high fat diet to me, but if it makes you feel energized then that's all that matters. I find high fruit makes me energized. Weight loss has to do with calories. Reducing calories will produce weight loss on any diet.
  • If your eating a high fruit diet, i don't see why anybody is worrying about vitamin "C"!!!
  • Seriously, is there a reason to worry about calcium, magnesium, potassium, silica, and the pytonutrients when we don't know sh*t about all that stuff anyway. Yes the studies which we do have, usually say "may" do this and "may" lead to that and "may…

  • Just googled and can't find any studies that suggest that potassium depletes calcium/magnesium Found this though: http://www.chelationtherapyonline.com/anatomy/p56.htm and if you go to bottom of article they have 16 things that deplete magnesium, an…
  • Weight bearing exercises can be done to increase bone density as well, as people become older, many of them either don't exercise, or get less exercise, the pounds go on, and this becomes a problem. I don't know if this is a concern, but you need to…
  • Just because it is written in a book doesn't automatically make it "true". Usually studies are done to see if the theory is true or false, or at least the data lines up with the idea.
  • leafygreen, what reference is the back pointing to in order to back up there claim?? If no reference, then i would disregard it.
  • i dunno, but there is calcium, magnesium and potassium in fruits and vegetables. So if you eat whole foods then you are getting all those nutrients plus many many others. I'm wondering why you are worried about individual nutrients on a whole foods …
  • Yes I got it in july sometime, it works great. Breaks up my cacao nibs and hemp seed much better. Made some pineapple juice in it, it was the best pineapple juice I have ever drank. It dissolved the core too!!! It was 100% consistant. My wife makes …

  • Mine??? Backed up by 80 10 10. Makes sense to me. Try to live off of veggies without any fruits or nuts or seeds or meats or grains, just veggies and see what happens. How many heads of lettuce for example, would i have to eat on a 3500 cal diet?? A…

  • Also somebody was recommending to reduce intake of fruit and "raise with greens". Firstly , a vegetable/greens diet is impossible (almost impossible) because there are NOT enough calories in them to sustain a humane diet solely on them. So if somebo…
