  • I have noticed that too, many people turning their backs on the raw food diet or at least 100% but on the other hand Im inclined to agree with them. I know many raw foodist claim to be 100% yet have slipped up and accidentally admitted to eating coo…
  • Raw onions have absolutly no effect on me, I wouldnt eat garlic raw but it doesnt bother me..that said I've always been intolerant to garlic, if someone ate it and later on I kissed them (wihtout having it myself) I wouldnt even taste it, I cant sme…
  • I dont think its a question of how many hours do you sleep. How many hours do you need? Does five hours suffice you for the next day?
  • Ooh I found Paris the hardest city to eat Healthy in! Even in Florida I didnt find it hard to be Healthy - when I say that I mean cause I was in a cvery walt disney tourist area. But Paris is nearly all cheese, wines, bread, meat, cakes, etc. Yes, E…
  • RawKaren your from North-East England, do you mind me asking which county, I understand you probably wont want to give specific towns, I'm just trying to get an idea of how many raw fooders live around my reigon, especially since my town still finds…
  • It took me ages to remember where I learnt of raw food from, I found an Ani Phyo recipe along with some normal vegan ones, I was confused by what Raw meant so I did my research and found Shazzie whose book 'Detox your world' I read and was inspired,…
  • Ooh I like that idea, raw pie! Fruit but with a crunch! And I like the fact I dont have to make it daily. Cheers :)
  • The problem with just eating fruit is I like something to crunch and chew on, habit of a lifetime, I spent god knows how many years hvaing cereal for breakfast lol, so old habits die hard. I can have smoothies but they make me need to pee and I cant…
  • I thought Tomatoes were a very acidic fruit.
  • I found Romaine too watery but I would certainly eat it disguised - I'm such a kid. Watermelon sounds a fantastic idea, if it substituted for celery and as you said take the edge off other greens.
  • To add: I cant have celery cooked or raw, so cooking it - even blending it in hot soups doesnt stop the repulsion.
  • The thing is I hate most is how people tell me I lead an unhappy, restricted life. The thing I hear ALL the time is 'I'd rather enjoy life!' What the hell do they think Im doing, making myself miserable on purpose? My response is 'By all means do so…
  • You know it's funny I was going to post something as I think I have this, so if anyone could advise me, I would love it.. The thing is I dont want to go the doctors as Im always in and out of there - or so it feels, as physically Im highly sensitive…
  • I've not been to it, but it's in a woodland, theres also a stone circle up there too. I keep meaning to go to it, well you know what its like, I know local druids perform some of their rituals (?) there. Funny enough that same location has one of th…
  • I can't speak for all my family but yes. My Mums side is Irish - though Jewish Irish but my dads side have been in Yorkshire since the Vikings settled here - that long I know! But from what I know it was his family that had druids in it - could have…
  • Hello! I'm attempting Raw and though I'm more spiritual I'm deeply interested in Druidism espeically because it was apparantly practiced by my ancestors which is quite cool though I admit I know little about it. I guess I'm sort of Pagan in my belie…
  • It's definitly been posted before, but a lot of topics ae covered frequently so I will respond anyway. For my eyes have completely changed colour, it seemed to happen over night. One day I had brown eyes the next I had green. I didnt notice until we…
  • See I'm strange but I love Raw potatoes, with a bit of sea salt YUM. What make is your blender, mines cheap but rubbish. So where in England are you from, Im Yorkshire born and bread...and I like Ice Cream ;)
  • Hello, I'm from England too. You sound like me, good raw intake but some cooked dinners too. I think even if you just do raw desserts first thats a major break. Glad to meet another Englander.
  • Haha that is true. It's hard giving up gluten - could you give me a heads up what I should avoid? Cheers.
  • I was tested for celiac disease first but I wasnt anemic or calcium deficent so they knew I couldnt be (the test had been dancing around saying 'Ha, I told you I get enough') I'm cutting out gluten now, though I've realised I eat steamed oats which …
  • It's finding out eating things raw can be bad for you that can make you wonder how good raw is for you lol, I struggle to eat it raw anyway I recently tried an Ani Phyo Broccoli Brazil nut mash which I loved it's the only way I can eat it so far.
  • I've just ordered some freeze dried ones, it seems impossible to get in fresh in England. I cant wait to recieve it.
  • In answer to the last question about knowing things, it's not really 'knowing' but I definitly would say, you don't need to get caught in all this gormet raw food that everyone seems to be into. That was my downfall because I couldnt create them so …
  • I've always mositurised my eyelashes from a young age. I don't know if mine are naturally thick and long or it's because of this. I used to get people laughing at me for it but hey it works for me. I'm glad it's worked for you.

  • Ooh, I'm the opposite to maggie, I love the taste of Maca and can eat it straight off the spoon. You can do allsorts with it, mix it into smoothies (I think it works better in cacao Mylkshakes) , put it into desserts or cacao. I think Maca and choco…
  • My cat must have been just pure evil when she was young, she didnt kill for food or for the hunt she just tormented her victims, including me as a kid. She'd bring her 'friends' indoors, lay on her back and throw them in the air, let them go stop th…
  • I guess it all depends on how much your body has to detox. It differs for everyone, If you ate a very meat, cheese, macdonalds meal, you will probably detox harder than a vegan. I think you can also compare it to a sugar crash, if you keep loading y…
  • You're neglecting the fact you dont run for hours for your meat. If you did I'm sure you would be counteracting any meat you had and lets face it, a tribe sharing maybe one gizelle (or whatever it is) That isnt loads, it's not processed, reared for …

  • Well it's organic stevia, I know that. But I'm not sure if growing it is allowed in the UK, but yes I understand what you mean. It's not the FDA's approval I go by, just the general rule.
