Diabetic cat

I have a cat who is diabetic and requires insulin shots twice a day. They are easy to give although the insulin, syringes and blood tests are expensive. I've been feeding him the cat food the vet sells which is specifically for diabetes, and I recently bought him a cat food made by Blue which has human grade ingredients. I'm just wondering if anyone has had any experience feeding a diabetic cat a raw diet. If I could cure him, it would be great.
