Bring a Mortar and Pestel??? (wood)
Which country are you traveling in?
Mainly the US, but I am not able to carry such things around. I guess I could travel with a pestle and mortar... that would work for some things. Any tips on recipes anyone?
i was on the road a month in us last year, i just look for health food store to get fresh organic produce and some nuts and seeds....it was my way...you'll find something new each store, so you don't get bored!
but three month seems really long so how about to bring:
spiral slicer to make pasta
sprouting jar or bag to sprout seed/beans/nuts
and this blender will work in a car:

how about this one?:

and if you are okay with miso, you can make a miso soup, just need cold or warm water to add!
almost everything you can put in your miso soup, avocado, tomato, greens, sea weed....love miso soups.......!
south river miso has no wheat / soy miso, yum!
good luck and enjoy your trip!
Okra - thanks for posting that. I like miso but don't often eat it because of the soy/wheat. I had simply stopped eating it so didn't realize they had it made out of other options. Will have to check it out :)
You can do fine without a blender or food processor. Don't forget about fresh fruit--sliced apple with cinnamon and raisins is really good. Avocado with sea salt is a great simple snack. Also, as long as you have a jar, you can soak nuts and/or seeds, and after draining add whatever seasonings you enjoy.
And South River Miso does have awesome soy and/or gluten-free misos. Even Miso Master is now making a barley-free, soy-free chickpea miso.
Enjoy your journey!
