  • I have Vitamix and Cuisinart… Juiceman Jr. I never use the juicer (unless I don’t want the fiber in my juice… but it’s a pain to keep it clean). I always use the vitamix and cuisinart. Both are very different (to me). The Vitamix is great for creamy…

  • Awesome… thanks for the info. I have not been told I have candida… but I wonder with all the sugar I eat. :o) So, I like to be informed about this kind of thing. Thanks, el-bo. And thanks to Adam too.
  • el-bo Thanks for that info! So, for how long would one have to give up fruit or fat?
  • Yes, I remember… at Boutenko’s lecture she mentioned (that someone told her) that candida is due to (or fed by?) fat. Unfortunately, there was no explanation of this.
  • Thanks jenoz. I forgot about that test. I had heard of it before.
  • Ooo, thanks for that reply Kevyn. Hmmm, I wonder why the oxidzer plays an important role. I’ll have to come back and re-read this entire posts and links. Sounds interseting and could be something I need to know for my own journey to abundant health.…
  • Great info Chris. Six weeks is not too long either! And, yes… Cousens book was an interesting read. I even thought to try it… just because I eat a lot of sugar. But, I haven’t tried it.
  • RAWmen-noodles! Welcome back.
  • First questions that pop in my head… What are you taking/doing exactly? How have you been feeling? Is that ALL your taking? How are you eliminating the clay? When I do a salt water flush, I sometimes follow it up with a psyllium seed husk mixed with…
  • daniefon, when you say “yam” do you really mean sweet potato? Because in the U.S. yam can also mean sweet potato. But, in other countries… yam is yam… totally different from sweet potato. I remember seeing your Juan’s Tacos Flacos… they caught my at…

  • I make taco shells out of corn, flax, bell pepper and other spices. I use Sarma’s taco recipe from Spicy Bean Tacos. Sometimes I make the spicy bean filling, other times I just put greens in it with a dressing of some sort. Yum. I also tried the enc…

  • thecavsman – Here’s a website that says sprouted nuts, grains, seeds are alkaline (with some exceptions). Yes, it means you should soak sunflower seeds before eating… and all nuts & seeds. They are more nutrient dense and are easier to digest (w…
  • Interesting food combining chart… thanks! Yeah, I like it because it doesn’t have milk, cheese, egg, meat foods. The only problem I see (well, I didn’t read the website thoroughly) is that nuts may not be acidic (or as acidic) after you germinate si…
  • Wow, unbelievable! Technically, it is not biblically based… just talking about people’s experience. The 1 Timothy 4 verse they quote about meats. The NAS version says “foods” not “meats”... the original Greek also means “that which is eaten”. They …
  • I like my magic bullet. It’s good for the small dressings. And, for grinding flax. I use it all the time instead of my coffee grinder. I never use the juicer portion of it. And the cups with handles it comes with, I put my vita-mixed/blendtec-ed smo…

  • I didn’t know psyllium was bloating! Guess I never noticed.
  • Ummm, that would be Irish Moss. Carrageenan is Irish Moss. You can find it Purely Joy Planet. David Wolfe sells it on his website to… but, I don’t know what it is. The mango cheesecake recipe from Cheflandria uses Irish Moss for the mango glaze. But…
  • Luna blu – I agree… mango & spinach! Yumm. Wow, those other ingredients sound interesting. I may teach a juicing/fruit smoothie class at my church next month. We have several Indians at our church, and I am sure they would love that smoothie. I’…
  • Thanks for the reply Evigail. Great info!
  • So, if you don’t have all the amino acids… does your body store them until you get them all? ...or does it get rid of them?
  • Meditating – the link on Read the Full Report didn’t work. Where’d it go?
  • Thanks for the info queenfluff & sweetpea. Glad to know I can take dehydrated fruit… my favorite. :o)
  • Yeah, I thought they would last longer… in the fridge. I didn’t think they were okay outside of the fridge for so long. I didn’t want to try it either so my food doesn’t go bad… I always took some ice with me… but not this time. Is this only for deh…
  • Matt Amsden’s The Box is raw food delivered (or not) in a box with 4 entrees, 4 sides, 2 soups, and 2 desserts.
  • Audrey, I tried it once. If I’m on business travel, I am thinking of using that “per diem” to order The Box. It’s actually not that bad a price… it’s about what we spend at a raw restaurant. Yes, it is expensive. I think I’d get tired of the heavy (…
  • Oh yeah, love the eggless salad and big matt… oh, and the meat loaf. Yummm. My favorites. I also like his recipes, because he doesn’t use cacao. I tend to stick with carob. Great to hear about the water substitute. I don’t really like the taste of c…
  • Oooo! Fun. You should try Matt’s The Box! Yummmm. Wow, how’s the water substitute for coconut water working out for you. That’s the only thing that stops me from making some (of his) soup recipes. Coconut water has a certain flavor. Is it “missing” …
  • I didn’t see the recipe… but if you click the picture, that should get you to the recipe? ...if there is a picture.
  • Yes, high in Vitamin C and manganese. Here’s another nutrition website someone mentioned on another forum. Both websites mention high Vitamin C and Manganse; the latter mentions high in Vitamin K.
