  • *bump* RawLibrarian, are you still there?
  • Someone sent me this link: http://www.godswaytohealth.com/
  • RawLibrarian, that's an interesting thought. So are you saying (that Dan said) the Living Light Culinary Institute graduates "don't have the real-world restaurant chops that he needs". http://rawfoodchef.com/ http://www.rawfoodchef.com/culinaryArts/…
  • Depends how much you already know. I took her first class... and I learned very few new things related to raw food preparation. I still had fun, though. Boutenko came out with a new book - Raw Family Signature Dishes, A STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE to Essenti…
  • If a recipe calls for cacao or carob... please note, it is NOT a one to one match. Use less carob. :o) ...probably about one fourth to one half the amount called for cacao. Just my 2 cents.

  • It could be the agave ...according to a post on welikeitraw.com I've noticed teeth sensitivity when I eat several goneraw Lemon Cookies. I thought it was the lemon... but they also have agave...

  • B vitamins! I really wish kombucha didn't have any bit of alcohol...
  • Fresh squeezed orange juice has alcohol? Maybe after you let it sit a while! These website don't think so: http://www.fitday.com/WebFit/nutrition/All_Foods/Fruits_and_Juices/Orange_juice_freshly_squeezed.html http://www.nutritiondata.com/facts/fruit…
  • missmare, I was just in WI for vacation. I'm back home, and I found out one of my hubby's friend's makes it! Thanks though. I can't believe people make this stuff... wow, where have I been that nobody's mentioned it before. *hehe*
  • If you keep drinking it... you'll find you can tolerate it and maybe even like it. Strange, I know... but it happened to us. hehe. Let us know how that smoothie turned out.
  • Someone sent me this link: http://www.ehow.com/video_2334728_mix-dried-fruit-kombucha-teas.html I didn't see any sugar here... the sugar seems to be the fruit.
  • sugar & tea/caffeine - eh? I guess it's like calling Nama Shoyu raw.
  • Sugar cookies? I must've gotten the wrong green flavor... (hehe, I only know of one). *lol* rotten mushroom juice

  • Get Fresh! magazine is the best! Then there is Purely Delicious... but not as great at Get Fresh. Cheaper, but you get more with Get Fresh, so it costs the same. And RawFu is new, but I've never seen that one.

  • Malchusmom, since you were just on a fast, you probably didn't miss your period. When I was on a 10-day cleanse after 2 months of raw, my cycle went from a normal 28-day cycle to 45+ day cycle (maybe it was a 50-day cycle). I was really confused whe…
  • Also, I forget whose blog I was reading (linked from goneraw), but she was eating OJ (vit C), raisins (iron), and tahini (calcium). But, I was wondering about EFAs/omegas... does anyone take them while pregnant (as some would recommend not to take p…

  • Yes, I heard of New Chapter. But, it doesn't have calcium or EFAs. A friend of mine used Garden of Life and also recommended NOT to use primrose oil.

  • Hmmm, how to sum it up? Maybe one could say it's about why the Roman eonomic system is not God's plan for our life.
  • Yeah, I haven't read it all ...it is rather lengthy, but my hubby is reading it ...and he gives me the summary ...I'm fascinated! But, I only read tidbits. Chapter 2 is interesting too... but he encourages to read from beginning to understand his wo…
  • Too bad there isn't a picture of it. He has some great pictures and great food! I made his Curried Cabbage without the wraps. It is great... not sure if it's supposed to be Indian.
  • macadamia, as long as that craving is not for donuts or something like that *hehe* But seriously... I agree with what you 'said'.
in Craving Salt Comment by germin8
  • Usually a craving is due to lack of mineral(s). You are probably missing minerals that could be provided in sea salt. I'm not sure what kelp provides. Green smoothies helped my sweet-tooth craving, and it will probably help for salt-craving. Have yo…

  • Amazing! I want to try that. *tangent* I like to use a stool (no pun intended) for the bathroom.... it allows me to be in a more squatting position and that helps move things along. And I like to massage my "colon" to help things move along too. I'v…
  • wichten: What? Not to bring cabbage dishes... how can they do that to you?
  • Mulberries? We get them off the bike trail here in Northern VA.. Sweet... and free!
  • Fun... concord grapes, coconut, pineapple, orange bell pepper, figs, raspberries, avocado, oranges, sprouts, banana...
  • I don't have an answer... but Are you looking for a spring or do you have a spring? Check out www.findaspring.com ...although, it's a fairly new website.
  • I'm not a biologist (but I did take a biology course & lab last year)...I'd like to see images of it under the microscope. I would be fascinated.
  • Try to get the 11 cup or 14+ cup food processor. I have had my 11 cup Cuisinart for 7 years. Love it. Great for two people; but often I wish I had a bigger one for doubling or tripling recipes. I got mine for under $200. But some people say they use…
