  • I’m with you Katie. I was 90% raw for 2 months… and was doing good, feeling great, and then suddenly… all I wanted was cooked food and that’s all I ate… and a whole lot of it for a week or two. During my 90% raw food, I ate a lot of fruits and crave…

  • What is in your smoothies? fats? nuts? In, “12 Steps to Raw Foods”, Boutenko says that eating greens helps with cravings. Your cracker idea sounds good… its sounds more ‘substantial’ and filling. Maybe make your self a lettuce wrap and fill it with …
  • I saw Earth Vegan shoes at Nest (natural store in Clarksville, MD). I really like the style of the shoes… but, can’t seem to find them online.

  • I’ve been on the rock crystal for four months now… and it’s I’ve been very happy with it! I’m still curious about the lemon… but, don’t want to stop using my rock crystal. :o)

  • Good question, odalys. Maybe it’s the brand? I don’t remember which I have; it’s just a rock in a basket now… threw away the wrapping a long time ago. I just remember Thai rock crystal. My friend in AZ also loves hers. But, every body is different.

  • I’ve been on the crystal for about a month… I hope it still holds strong. Keep me posted on the lemon. :o) Maybe you just need to alternate.

  • Lemon-deodarant? Fascinating!

  • Just did some sweating while rock-climbing… and the crystal rock did a great job compared to 2 weekends ago when I was doing the same thing using an anti-perspirant. I was in the sun more this time around. I love this stuff!

  • I tried the thai crystal rock… it’s the third day, right about when I’d be noticing it’s time to change deodorants again… and I still smell pretty good! Amazing! My husband (who is practically odor-less) wants to start using it… he says, if it can w…

  • ambikalee: What are “eo’s” – essential oils? Yes, I remember you posted about the chlorophyll pills… and it caught my attention. But, I wanted to see what I can do with raw food first. I know I should eat more veggies… thanks for the reminder. :o) I…

  • Thank you so much for your replies… I cant’ wait to try this crystal deodorant. Does it last long? Is it something I can find at a health store easily… or do I have to special order it? Yes, I’ve tried to make my own deodorant… years ago. I cannot r…

  • Thanks all. Thanks pianissima. Really? I have no idea! NO WONDER… b/c it was liquid one day… and solid on a cooler day.
  • Yeah, the recipes on this site are nice. But when I am making something new and I want it to taste good (for, say, a raw food class I teach), I refer to my never-failed-me-yet-raw-cookbook-with-pictures instead. :o) The comments on the GoneRaw site …
  • “Living Cuisine” explains a lot about being raw. I recommend it for that. The recipes often use umboshi(?) and miso. “Raw” has lots of mushrooms in their recipe, but they have a great pad Thai. I prefer “Raw Food Real World”; it’s gourmet, but every…
  • You can use oat groats… germinate them… and make your oatmeal blended with bananas, apples, raisins, raw honey/agave, sea salt… I recommend germinating for up to 48 hours (although 24 is recommended), changing the water 3-4 times a day.

  • Hehe. This is not encouraging me to go out there and pick edible weeds. I’m afraid I couldn’t be able to identify some of the common herbs which I rarely use. Funny, redicoverrawfood. Glad you figured it out!
