  • I love sprouted buckwheat too and have had no trouble at all sprouting but I’m wondering…... Does anyone else besides me have trouble digesting buckwheat? Its really bumming me because I am gluten/wheat intolerant and buckwheat is not supposed to be…
  • Exactly….no one. I’m definately a band of one in my circle of friends but they are accepting. Recently a friend said if I was stranded on a desert island and I could have one “thing” with me it would be a juicer!!!! ;o)
  • 40 and fabu ;0) P.S. Queenfluff!! Get Out! From your old pic I would have sworn you were 20. Dayum. Most excellent genes!
  • Personally I have found Natalia’ Rose’s book to be the clearest on food combining too. I eat fresh fruit apart from all other foods but aside from melons I don’t sweat combining acid/sweet fruits. A ton of recipes on this site advocate combinations …

  • Okay..not a doc. having said that if its your right side it could be liver congestion specifically. If its both sides or left side it could be simple intestinal ( descending) colon backup. Those ideas are the first and simplest that come to mind. Fl…
  • Not that I am aware of. Its really safe. You sweat but you don’t overheat or feel uncomfortable. In a traditional sauna the heat can feel so heavy that you feel like you can’t take in enough oxygen. Not the case with infrared. Breathing is smooth an…
  • Hi Newbie, I have an infrared sauna too. It was my 4oth bday present. And I absolutely love it. Its great for detox, circulation, meditation, relaxation. You name it. It was def an investment but I don’t regret it for a moment. I researched a bunch…
  • Hmmm….chocolate to durian..??? Since I love both why have I never thought to put the two together. Dang I need to leave my box more often. I’m going to get some Durian this weekend. Thanks again Kandace!
  • I won’t speak for everyone else but I only use water or coconut water because fresh fruits digest best on their lonesome. Added nut milks mess that up for me. It all goes back to that whole food combining thing. Hope that helps some.
  • omshanti, You crack me up! Frankly I’m relieved that someone else has experienced this problem. I’ve always avoided family bike rides for the same reasons you’ve given. Heck. Just give me some shoes. I’ll walk!!!!
  • yeah i’m curious about this one too. i’ve made them three times now and they’ve never turned out well.maybe its an aquired taste!
  • elizabeth, I love the idea of soaked buckwheat groats as a salad base. What spices if any do you add to your groats?

  • heathermarsbomb, I absolutely think that weight can be gained/lost psychologically. I had been putting it on but not understanding why as my diet had not changed at all. When I stopped to see that I was generally behaving in an overly controlling ma…
  • I Love cheese too. I recently made a farmers milk type cheese from young coconut meat and a kefir starter. Its not bad. Kind of like a cream cheese/yogurt. It ain’t saga blue however.
  • I’ve done the liver flush three times and the last time barely anything came out. I then had my lipids checked via bloodwork and I am super duper A Okay. It was not so bad. The first time lots came out and I was amazed. You have nothing to fear. Jus…

  • I’ve gone back and forth with coffee. I do think its what you put in it that can be the worst offender. But basically if it feels like a habit or a crutch I back away to find out whats really going on. I mean I like the taste and all but I used to l…
  • Thank You all! That info does help. Tomatoes ( nightshades) are a problem. I feel better if I avoid them. Salt is something I should cut way back on too. Thats a toughie though. I do love salt. And olives. And did I mention salt?? Deep sigh…...;o) O…

  • Hello All Well I did a simple 5 day juice fast just to get things a bit back on track and I feel pretty good. Saraw my doc too suggested an elimination diet. But as we looked at all the things I already don’t eat there was only one major culprit lef…
  • Hi Bluedofin, That was a great synopsis. I am going to take this info. with me next week when I see my wholistic doc. Thanks.
  • Hey rawrawraw, Thanks for all that! There is a part of me that suspects in some weird way that 1 year of rawness has stripped away the layers that now present as ” RA”. I do not want to start any drugs right now. I just have worked too hard to elima…
  • Hey Juicy, I have considered that this may be part of detox and food allergies too. The cleaner my system has become the more I feel like a canary in a coal mine. I think I may have some allergy to nightshade foods. So I’m nixing the tomatoes, corn …

  • I just bought some MSM yesterday and I think I may start a juice fast. I’ve done it before but not with the understanding of how it may benefit me that I have now. The prospect feels daunting to me for some reason.Perhaps its an indicator of “stuff”…
  • Thanks everyone for all your thoughts! I’m dreading the thought of giving up citrus. No lemons? !!! The other stuff soy included I dropped a year ago. Thats the other thing that is kind of confusing to me. Given how many irritant/inflammatory foods …
  • I’ve read about Dr, Day. Her story is fascinating and really intriguing. I think her personal experience and expertise gets muddied up by some of her outrageously anti-semetic ideas. I could be wrong but I think I read somewhere that she said the Ho…
  • Dr Svoboda? I’ll check him out. I live outside Philadelphia PA. Its fairly new for me ( since August so I can’t relate to seasons yet. Atho’ the damp cold of the great Northeast prolly ain’t swell! lol.At the moment I feel pain/stiffness/numbness al…
