  • Chlorella is a type of green algae, obviously found in the ocean. It is a heavy metal detoxer and is very strong in cleansing the body of toxins.

  • Larabars are raw, yes! Look at the label and you’ll see. I don’t eat nuts because all the fat is WAY more than what my digestive system can handle. Ezekiel bread is definately not raw, but larabars are.
  • Of course. Especially considering they are a legume, not a nut.
  • I make raw cacao butter based chocolates. Many people say that maple syrup is alot better for making coconut oil chocolates than agave. Yes, maple syrup isn’t raw, but neither is agave, even if it says “Raw”
  • lol yea, I made Lovin’my sunshine’s raw chocolate soft serve….I ate the whole thing with my mom! It feels good to be a gorilla. :)
  • Well, I made amazing banana pancakes last night with like 10 bananas and all of the pancakes are gone as of 30 minutes ago. lol I love fruit.
  • I have been on and off fruitarian for a few years, but have decided to stick with it because I can’t really digest nuts, seeds, or grains. Roadrunner on this site, who is fruitarian as well, gave me a website: The Fruit Pages. It is a cool site, ful…
  • Nothing’s bad about it at all, except that it’s not raw. I consume brewer’s yeast for protein, and it really helps the gut in some strange way. The fact that it is not raw doesn’t seem to matter. You are going to get lots of mixed opinions about yea…
  • Thank you Zoe! All the raw food really made her triple in size. ;)) Wow, it’s cool to think we have almost exactly the same color cats! Is Tonka a blue point, or lilac point?

  • Yea, that would be super awesome if we could get a company to deliver a bunch of raw ice cream, salads, etc! It just seems cozy to have it delivered, don’t really know why. We used to get Chinese food delivered to us, wish they did raw delivery. The…

  • I love my Excalibur 9-tray. It isn’t too noisy, but it’s fan is louder than my previous dehydrator. If you love cookies and crackers, then get it. Even if you don’t use it that often, it’s still a great thing to have. Perhaps my favorite thing to do…
  • Nuts and seeds are SO not for me. I don’t really know about that iron magnesium thing. They make me tired because they are hard to digest. I can’t digest flax, sesame, chia, etc. Does’t matter what kind of seed or nut. I can eat a small bowl of ligh…
  • Yea, most likely you’ll do well with it.
  • Also, MOTH, I have noticed that nut milks are digestible, versus nuts. I do almond milk, because you get the advantage of mostly straining out the nuts, so you get mostly water and a little creaminess of nuts.
  • LizK – I am going to post a variety of creative recipes that I make – mostly desserts, and some salads and dressings. I find that using young coconut is a GREAT substitute for nuts. These recipes may take some days to post since there are a lot of t…
  • Yea, lol, that’s the banana almond cream recipe I’m talking about.(still going to try the crepes, though!) I wonder if everybody is intolerant to nuts, seeds, and grains and some people don’t even know it. I agree, Tiny1, that is is better as well a…
  • Marichiesa, I have never tried hemp seeds. That’s interessting.
  • Yes. Flax is the WORST for me.
  • Yes! I know how you feel. Usually it passes before the next day, though. I know, I mean, who would have thought nuts or seeds could be so bad? Maybe not for all, but I’m not there man. One time I bought a bag of sprouted dehydrated pumpkin seeds tha…
  • MOTH we are so similar! I can’t tolerate nuts, seeds, whatever, you name it. I get so constipated that it is not worth it. I’d love to eat some banana-almond butter cream or some onion bread but the effects are so bad and uncomfortable that it’s not…
  • I have gotten sundried tomatoes at my local health food stores, but their so loaded with salt and may not even be raw that I can’t even eat them Raw Guru sells them raw unsalted in their drid fruits section. I want to buy the noodles too! Lovin’My S…
  • I’m still going to recommend Wild Blue Green Algae.

  • Klamath Lake Wild Blue Green Algae. It’s expensive, but all the benefits are totally worth it.

  • grassdude, coconuts bought in stores are dipped in formaldehydes. Buy them online. Matt Amsden did test them, but the ones we buy aren’t always the “best” ones. I can smell the toxins on the coconut meat. Meditating http://www.genefitnutrition.com s…

  • I love Matt Amsden! His book and restaurant are so cool.
  • Yes! Gene Fit Nutrition sells organic, pesticide-free ones, though they are expensive. Raw Guru sells young coconuts of the same quality that are dehusked, so you can open them the way you would an adult coconut, by opening the 3 “eyes”. I’m not qui…
  • Wow…..where do you live? You must be lucky to get those unusual fruits.

  • Some heavy raw food delicacies will seem gross to kids. I know this because I am 12 years old, and went through this myself. What your kids may be experiencing is that they think the food is boring, and want more exciting foods. Kids also like sweet…
