  • Bryan if it is sweet than something artificial has been done with it I am not buying the agave theory either, it's not really pure. As far as honey, I love raw honey provided it's local. Despite the fact that it is high in sugar it does not affect t…
  • Yea that's a different person. RGH was just posting about the pie by poemomm from goneraw, but that's too bad. I wish there was a way to find her elsewhere too. Maybe she'll come back sometime.

  • Just Desserts was by Raw Goddess Heathy, that's a different person. I should go look at that though...

  • I haven't seen poemomm on since early september. She was trying to post recipes but the site wouldn't let her so maybe she gave up. But I'm pretty sure they are the real pictures because they were posted a year or so ago when there weren't any site …

  • On any cleansing diet fats should be eaten in very small amounts and fruit should be the highest priority. Eat lots of greens and fruit and your indigestion will subside.
  • I haven't read the book but if it recommends 20 bananas or something I wouldn't do it. If you want to eat a lot of fruit I would suggest navel oranges - they are lower in sugar that fruits like grapes and bananas and I don't think they are hybridize…
  • Soak them overnight, drain and rinse, and let sit damp without water for 24 hours. Rinse frequently.
  • No prob with using oil, just a lot of fat thats all. Joyous fig - I once made an almond butter by sprouting almonds and dehydrating them for say 8 hours. Then I ground them into a course/fine flour. Then I ground the flour into butter with the help …
  • I never buy commercial nut butter other than the sprouted one at realrawfood because they are not sprouted. I have made great nut butters dehydrated soaked nuts and grinding them down into butter.
  • Greetings to you too RawKinMomma! I have been pretty much raw for the past six years or so. My mom is raw too - but I don't have any siblings. That's awesome! I'd love to meet your son if we lived closer. Yes I agree it's pretty hard staying raw in …
  • That's what I'm thinking too.
  • I'm not too concerned about the "toxin" in any mushroom either. I think all kinds of mushrooms are fine. There may be slight toxins in them but I doubt they'd affect much.
  • That quote has to be the wisest in the world! :)
  • You can also take an enzyme supplement to help as well, called "Mega-Zyme" by Enzymatic Therapy. It is a potent blend of enzymes that improve digestion. You might benefit from this until your digestion is more stable.
  • Not too knowledgeable about the diabetes but I do know that if you eat a lot of fruit on a raw diet, stay low on any other raw food during detox, and you're digestive problems will go away. Taking a probiotic really helps. If you are coming off of c…
  • What a coincidence, I just made it yesterday! It's very very good. I just ground a frozen banana with frozen cherries, chocolate, and nut butter, I didn't bother freezing it because the fruit was already frozen. ? The recipe didn't say you had to fr…
  • Why not just order the lydias online? thats what i did.

  • Thanks for the tip. I don't think it would hurt if I did put a small amount in a smoothie. No problem, as I had originally thought it was sprouted too. :)

  • I don't think it's made from sprouted buckwheat, it's just regular buckwheat. I've never been able to digest that cereal but I have to admit it is really really really tasty....lol. My cabinet is packed with it despite that I don't eat it, but maybe…

  • The jungle peanuts are fine, they are just a legume like any peanut so they are slightly harder to digest than most other nuts. Regular peanuts are never raw; they contain aflatoxins.
  • Usually only when I know I didn't get a nutrient that the vitamin has. Which is once every week or two, they are good to have around as a backup.
  • I'm sure they're great but they are really expensive. It saw them at the Vitamin Shoppe and the Vitamin Shoppe has a similar vitamin which I think is also raw for half the price. They're a good backup if you're unsure about what nutrients your getti…
  • Yes, we just get a whole bunch of bottles from the cheapest stores we can find it. Really plays a huge role, so it's worth it I think!
  • Hemp is awesome for protein as well, I just try to stay away from seeds because they don't digest well for me, but I think they are a great protein option and greens definitely are superior as well.
  • I take the Klamath Wild Blue Green Algae here: http://www.iherb.com/ProductDetails.aspx?c=1&pid=6522&at=0 It's different than spirulina, for some reason I have found spirulina to be indigestible. I like the Klamath stuff much better and the …
  • I still consume large amounts daily by means of blue green algae because when I don't I don't grow tall enough and I get more cravings. I still think raw foodists should put some effort into getting protein from a source other than nuts and seeds, s…
  • I've noticed that. It seems that a lot of recipes these days are getting low ratings, and I think that it's one person doing it. I don't think it's you at all, but someone's screwing with the recipes, I don't know why, it's just weird. I gave your r…

  • Interesting. What brand is it? It sounds really cool, like a raw pot! Especially since it heats it better because it actually touches the pot, versus a dehydrator which uses air circulation. PS how'd those potato cakes come out?
  • You can make a lot of almost hot drinks and soups by getting some hot water, letting it cool slightly for a few minutes, and making a nut milk for example to mix with cocoa and raw sweetener for hot chocolate. You can make soups this way too, and ma…
