  • You can get rid of some of the pain and swelling as well as absorb the toxins with sea salt. Just put some on the area that hurts and keep your tongue off of it for a few minutes. You might have to do this several times a day for awhile.
  • Here’s a link that gives you a free ebook by Mike Adams, author and Health Ranger. It’s about spirulina and chlorella being the healthiest foods on Earth and why. http://www.chlorellafactor.com/
  • I don’t know how you could get too much. It is food, after-all. I make a green smoothie with Superfood that contains both spirulina and chlorella. I use 2 tbs. for 32 oz. of smoothie. I also add other superfoods (maca, kelp, chia seeds, hempseed pro…

  • I know it isn’t safe to chelate metals, esp. mercury, while you still have amalgam fillings in your mouth. Eating raw will help coax the metals out of tissues. Much of the metals are stored in fat. As you lose fat, the metals become mobile. The algi…

  • tdg. Brown seaweed, wakame, contains alginates that absorb and bind to mercury and other heavy metals. I take it in a raw form caspsule, Modifilan, and also eat lots of seaweed in salads and smoothies. I have been tested for mercury (and other metal…

  • Nuttgirl, I think that if you have tried seaweed and MSM and are still having problems, I would check to see if you have candida albicans overgrowth. I doubt that a traditional doctor even considers this as a source of illness. Hair follicles can be…
  • I’ve roughly chopped some veggies up in the food processor, broccoli, carrot, onion (together), and dehydrated the blend until crispy. It’s great when sprinkled on soups or salad when you want some crunch. I rarely set my dehydrator over 110 degrees…
  • Thanks for posting the question. It reminded me that I hadn’t done this for awhile. I did it twice today and my feet feel great!
  • According to the site that I posted, you brush towards your heart. Here’s another one: http://healingtools.tripod.com/skinbrush.html
  • I always thought you were supposed to brush towards your heart. Up the legs and arms. http://www.jashbotanicals.com/articles/skin_bru…
  • I use a colander to rinse and sprout. I soak the groats in a jar for 30 minutes or so, dump them in a colander and rinse. I put the colander in a bowl a little larger and cover with a towel. I rinse them once or twice a day and let them sprout for t…

  • Hi. I think the nutrients and fats are in the milk. I could be wrong, but because the milk separates, I think that is evidence that the fat is in the milk. The pulp may still contain some vitamins and enzymes though. Good question.
  • I think that the term “eating raw” is too non-specific. You can eat a healthy raw, balanced diet and a poor raw diet. I eat raw and have expermented with several diets: transitional, Natural Hygiene, 80/10/10, green smoothies. I have included some f…

  • Good point. It doesn’t account for allergens though.

  • Those are a lot of “ifs”. Having only one optimal diet is a Utopian concept. Until we, as a species, get our health under control, we need different diets. People with Celiac’e disease and people with MS can’t eat gluten. People with MS shouldn’t ea…

  • SoCal. Dr. Graham suggests eating an 80% carb. diet. It would be impossible to not eat any starches with this plan. Just as there are covert fats in produce, there are also covert starches. Dr. Graham’s menu plans (in his book 80/10/10) include bana…

  • eshne, I think this is a good reason to transition gradually to raw. Your body may not be ready for an overdose of nutritional food. I think it would be easier for you if you didn’t try to do it all at once. See how it goes when introducing more raw…

  • There are several threads about this. I think the problem is lack of iodine. I eat a lot of seaweed and take a seweed supplement for mercury detox, Modifilan. The iodine has helped me with the hair loss issue and with other health issues.

  • You could just use a tasteless green, like lettuce, bananas, chocolate, agave nectar and some avocado (optional) for creamiess. Add almond milk or just water. A dash of seasalt will make it taste “buttery”.
  • I posted some ideas for using almond pulp in a variety of flavors. It’s under almond pulp pate.

  • Being a vegan doesn’t necessarily equate to eating healthy. She may have deficiencies or excesses that weren’t being addressed.
  • I posted a tomato/red bell pepper soup recipe that I make all the time. I think the trick is to add chopped vegetables to the bowl after blending. Otherwise, it’s just a savory smoothie. I also like to grind pumpkin seeds with seasalt and sprinkle t…

  • Maybe you need iodine, available in kelp and other sea vegetables. I had hypothyroid-like symptoms, but was never diagnosed. Iodine helped me. I did a water fast for nearly 5 days. Some of my MS symptoms were improved.
  • Thanks for the heads-up. I think I’ll stick with my Oster Fusion with the glass carafe!
  • I soak the groats in a jar, pour them into a large colander, rinse until the water is clear, put the colander over a large bowl and cover with a damp towel. I rinse a couple of times a day and leave them for about two days to sprout. This method is …
  • I think the best price going for food is bananas. Maybe you could make green smoothies for breakfast/lunch and that would be cost effective. It only takes a couple of bananas, another fruit and greens. I get a lot of smoothies out of a whole head of…
  • Hi Ron4540, Hempseed has an optimal balance of omega 3 and 6 fats. I eat it for its nutritional benefits. Same with kelp. Goji berries don’t do anything for me though, tastewise. They are supposed to be good anti-oxidants.
  • Maca doesn’t have much taste. It’s like flour. You only use a teaspoon to a tablespoon at a time. I put it in green smoothies. It didn’t change the taste.
  • I have to share my experiences with maca. I was a doubter of this product because it was so hyped up and it is a dried food that has undergone processing. I have since changed my mind. I’ve had it twice and both times have had the same results. I ha…
