  • Skinnoz is correct! I burned out an older blender with the veins from Swiss chard. They’re stringy and tough to digest.
  • This is exactly why I say one diet isn’t right for all. It’s about metabolic balance, finding the balance for you.
  • I have hypothyroid symptoms and because so many foods are goitrogenous, I rotate/vary my diet and exclude foods that are high on the list of goitrogenous foods. I also eat a lot of seaweed for the iodine.
  • I would soak, dry and process in a coffee mill for flour. A food processor with wet grains to make a dough.
  • How does she operate the Christmas lights with no electricity?

  • I love these! I went to the site jenergy posted. I have a cute apartment at the ranch in Texas (previously a horsebarn/worshop), but I live in an old motorhome in New Mexico and have for three years. I know your frustration omshanti!

  • I like my dehydrator too. Once in awhile I want a sandwich, a cookie, a pattie or a cracker. I don’t use it for all meals, but it’s nice to have an option.
  • My opinion is (if you have to add cooked food to raw) stick with the brown rice and dried beans and nix the canned foods. Eat a green salad with the meal.
  • Garlic, onions and apples are white and have lots of nutrients. White rice, white flour and white sugar are the antinutritive foods.

  • I would think that any herb would grow well in the kitchen. I’m going to grow wheatgrass. My neighbor grows tomatoes in the house all winter. Lettuce is supposed to grow well indoors. You could grow a salad!
  • I didn’t think that you were diagnosed with NSF. I believe it was posted as a possibility that NSF can occur with the dye and other toxins. The suggestions were to ease your mind that if you did get NSF, there were available treatments. These might …
  • I’ve had three T1 weighted MRIs and I was nervous about the dye everytime as well as the radiation from the xray machine. I only go the alternative route now and treat my MS with non-allopathic proceedures. I had mercury and other toxic burdens befo…
  • Any brand with sisal bristles works well. You don’t have to brush hard.
  • Because beans are a no-no for PWMS (molecular mimicry), my protein comes from dark leafy greens, sprouts, nuts and seeds. I like to read the recipes, but rarely make them, especially the deserts. I generally like meals with fewer ingredients. I’ve b…
  • I’m having amazing success with chia seed pudding! My stools are fuller, more solid and easy to pass. I have to drink more water when I eat the pudding/seeds. The gel makes them slippery and the seeds absorb toxins/acids/pathogens, etc. along the wa…
  • It might be hypothyroid and that’s why iodine helps. The inability for the thyroid to produce T3 and T4 causes the body to not regulate temperature. This is a big issue for me. Heavy metal toxicity is often involved in this.
  • Welcome to the group Sabrina. You’ll have fun preparing these recipes.

  • Great article Cherie. I sometimes wonder if I’m going down the same path as the author. I have a new nutritionist with extremely different views than mine have been and I wonder if I should give these views a chance before discounting them. This art…
  • It sounds as though your family is making an effort to understand your diet preferences. Let them enjoy their dinner and you can enjoy your fruit basket. It’s the time that you spend with them that will be more important than what you eat..

  • I just bought some Boku superfood. It’s raw, vegan, kosher, organic and gluten-free. It contains many greens, including nettles, wheatgrass and sea vegetables as well as anti-oxidant fruits, berries and acai. It has lots of probiotics, EFAs, vitamin…

  • People eat bugs and live organisms without their knowledge all the time. No one is perfect.
  • I think it’s a mistake to stereotype. No one is 100% anything 100% of the time.
  • You don’t usually agree with me? I didn’t think I was ever wrong! (lol)
  • I had brain fog as a symptom of MS, but eating a raw diet has pulled me out of that. I’m as sharp as a marble now. In all seriousness, education or lack of it makes you smart or stupid, not the food that you eat. Evolution doesn’t happen overnight. …
  • My cats are scavengers! They kill birds and mice and keep the snakes out of the yard. We have ferel cats around our place and two pets.
  • I wouldn’t do it. Cats aren’t vegetarians. I don’t even feed our wild cats cow milk! Do a search on the Internet and you will find several recipes for kitten milk replacement.
  • I use maca for hypothyroidism. It does make me feel better. It helps with the tingling in my legs and feet. I buy Navitas Naturals brand, certified organic and raw. Mandelicious, I don’t eat those candies and I only remember the name because my pare…
