  • Thanks Queenfluff for the info, I am interested if anyone does know the details about his being sued for the claims he makes about his food. I always thought he changed the NFL name to distance himself from the plagurism over his NFL book. He and hi…
  • I think he is telling the truth on this one. Cashews are encased in a toxic substance when they grow and there needs to be processing to get rid of it before they are safe to eat. This usually involves heat. His cashews are processed without heat. B…
  • Due to my daily Bikrams and the raw food I have got tons more energy, so I’m going to get a rebounder off ebay and get rid of some whilst firming everything up a bit.

  • Have them go longer? Make them thinner? We let things like that go for ages, until they are crispy at 95 degrees. Just keep them in there unti they are crispy, It’ll happen sooner or later – well, maybe later rather than sooner!

  • From what I have come to understand, after you’ve been raw for a while and detoxed your guts, then you assimilate more nutrients from your food, and end up not needing to eat as much as before. In her book “12 steps to raw” by Victoria Boutenko quot…

  • I read an interesting book about menstruation, and it said that women process other people’s (men to be more specific!) negative energy throughout the month, and menstruastion is a release of this negative energy as well as the blood. It said that i…
  • Great to meet you Kara. Everyone at college will be well impressed with your food, I bet they’ll all be trying your concoctions. That cake looks lovely :) I’ve been raw 2 years, 100% for over a year, I’m 33, I wish I started when I was 17!

  • re-green tomatoes, I believe it is not a good idea because they aren’t ripe. Green peppers aren’t ripe either, only red, orange and yellow are, so it isn’t good to eat them.

  • I did something similar. I sliced potatoes very thinly and put salt and olive oil on them and dehydrated them. They were OK. But I didn’t bother doing them again. I get my potato kick from eating avocado…in Detox delights by Shazzie the recipe for c…

  • You’ll probably go up and down in weight quite a bit until you level out after a year or so 100% raw. I know it can be distressing to see yourself get bigger whilst eating raw, because it just doesn’t seem like something that should be happening. I …

  • I don’t limit myself anything, I eat intuitively whatever my body desires. Sometimes that means I want onion bread, so I eat it, sometimes it means I just have green smoothies for a few days, so I do that. I eat 100% raw. I do not think I have to co…

  • Eunice, make some tasty snack munchies food, from the over 350 recipes on here, so you can munch away and satisfy your needs. For example I have been munching on onion bread and no bean hummus, which is sooo satisfying. If you are eating mostly frui…

  • How long have you been raw? How raw are you? These are two questions I would like to ask to find out a bit more about your situation. Generally though, if you stay raw, truly raw, and watch that your nuts and dried fruit is also truly raw, your weig…

  • .Thanks orgfoodaddict, Hmmmm, I called Lush a while ago, and asked them about what goes into their products, and they promised me that everything except the parabens is natural and not synthetic. The perfumes are made from essential oils, and dyes f…
  • Try http://www.lush.com Their stuff is 100% natural with no synthetic ingredients. It smells amazing and is gorgeous. I use their hair stuff and cleanser, that’s all I need to use now. There’s another thread about MSM on this site, many find it usef…
  • Make your own? Get handy with a fan and a wooden box, it could work, I think there was a post about doing it yourself on here ages ago… Failing that, a thrift store or Ebay might be the place to go shopping for one.

  • I agree with spiritedmama, just try to be 100% raw and let your body adjust and heal itself. Keep it simple and eat whatever you want as long as it is raw. Make sure what you eat really is raw, and I feel that your problems will subside in time. I t…
  • That’s funny! How about when the schools all changed their school dinners after the Jamie Oliver TV programmes expose on how awful they were. There were stories in the newspaper about mums feeding their kids junk food through the playground railings…

  • Hello, that is great how you have beaten the Crohns. I remember a doctor telling my friend that it was incurable and he’d have to have surgery, and be on steroids for the rest of his life. I bet you feel great, congratulations!
