  • Kids will often want to eat what their parents model for them. One of my girlfriends is also vegan and mostly raw, eating primarily raw fruits and veggies. Her son LOVES fruits and veggies so much that even when she tries to feed him more high calor…
  • I took this test about 10 years ago in graduate school and at that time I was ENFX (X is in the middle of J & P). I should try taking it again and see if I have changed in 10 years.
  • Try dry skin brushing. It will help exfoliate the dead dry skin and your skin will start to produce more of its own oil and nourish itself and become softer. Also, my mom moisturizes her whole body and hair with olive oil.

  • Here is a link that explains it quite well…. http://www.vegetus.org/honey/honey.htm And here is my opinion. I am vegan. I do not eat animal products and do my best to not use items that may have used or harmed animals in their production. Bees are v…
  • I would say cilantro for sure. I also add a little green onion to mine. When I make guac, I usually make salsa first, then leave some in the fp and throw the avocado in. My salsa uses fresh roma tomatoes (then quartered grape tomatoes added after ev…
  • I use parchment. Works like a charm, and I like it MUCH better than the solid “fruit leather” trays.
  • The pasta may be dragging you down. When your body gets used to whole fruits and veggies, and then cooked processed durum semonila is thrown in the the mix, it is probably taking your body a lot of work to digest.
  • blueberry fruit tart!
  • I used to use fitday.com a lot. It is a good site.
  • sgmom2 – I got the Omega 8005 for less than $250 online. http://www.canningpantry.com It juices greens (and everything else too!)really well.

  • Soaked flax seeds get a gooey texture like egg whites for substitute in baking, but maybe for something more savory than sweet.

  • I cut out caffeine about 8 months before going raw. I had about 10 days of withdrawal, mostly headaches. I had initially planned to just go a month without, but once I got off the caffeine, I had so much more natural energy that I didn’t even need t…

  • Since there will be so many people I decided that I had to keep it a little more simple so I am not in the kitchen forever with prep work. So here is what I came up with: (thanks to you guys!) Benny’s basil-cashew pesto as a dip with jenergy’s green…

  • Thanks everyone!! I just found out that there will be 60-100 people at the St. Patty’s party!! 60 women at the baby shower and 100 at the after party (when men get to come). Crazy! I will definitely do something easy. Everything you guys posted look…

  • Zoe – That is fabulous!! How have you never shared that before (or maybe you have, I just missed it!) I usually use sea salt with a little warm water as a substitute for Nama or Braggs. Zoe’s creation sounds really flavorful. Can’t wait to try that.…
  • Well, what do you have on hand? If you enter “rice” into the recipe search, there are lots of options for a variety of rice flavors or uses. Like “sushi” rolls!

  • I am in San Francisco. I have one cousin who is 100% raw, a raw co-worker, a few vegetarian and vegan cousins, and a few vegan friends. One of my girlfriends who is doing the MC with me was raw for a little bit, but eats some cooked vegan food now. …
  • Believe it or not, I have never been to any of the potlucks. One of my coworkers used to go all of the time and she has told me about them. I think I need to do a little research and get on that! I do love SF. The Ferry Building Farmer’s Market is t…

  • OK, so as I was slicing the sugar plum tomatoes a bunch of the little seeds popped out, so I am going to try planting them. I have a ton of questions though: How big of a pot do you recommend, lapetitemort? Should I sprout the seeds and how? And how…

  • I have a pint of organic sugar plum tomatoes that I bought last week for my bf while I was on the master cleanse. Since he rarely cooks for himself unless it’s something frozen, there are still a bunch left so I am inspired to dehydrate them. I am g…

  • I got a little herb garden kit for Christmas but made the mistake of planting the herbs right away in winter so nothing really came of them. A few sprouted then died. :( I also grow my own wheatgrass. Recently my bf got me the “Aerogarden”. It is an…
  • I use parchment paper and it works great. MUCH better than the solid “fruit leather” sheets…. I hate those things. With the parchment you have to wait until the food is dry enough to peel off, but if yours is still sticking you might try olive oil i…

  • I am on Day 7 of the cleanse, and haven’t had any major problems either, Carmentina. I’ve been taking the senna tea at night and the SWF in the morning, and I like doing both actually. The tea gives stomach cramps in the morning, and the SWF helps s…
