  • Dain5000, those recipes are just what I’m looking for right now. Please post!
  • Has anyone lost weight replacing meals with green smoothies? I’ve just got on the green smoothie bandwagon and am eager to see what they can do.
  • That’s pretty much what I’ve started to do now, so I guess I should just keep up the cilantro-spirulina smoothies. What is a good ratio/amount to be eating each day?

  • The problem with mercury though is that it hides in cells and yes, the seaweed is good for binding to it, but to my knowledge it doesn’t really ‘coax’ it out from deeper tissues. Have you read otherwise 123? I’d be interested to hear because I’m stu…

  • tdg, maybe you could find a recipe where you can’t really taste the cilantro, or just using a bit would probably be better than none. Here is a good article about what else you can do for mercury removal.

  • I’m not too fond of cilantro either, but I do use it with spirulina in my green smoothies. tdg, cilantro is excellent to eat if you have had, or still have, any mercury fillings in your teeth. The cilantro will mobilize the metals from your cells, w…

  • Hmmmm . . . I should probably start adding sprouts to my green smoothies. Anyone got any good recipes?
  • You could also try learning about, and picking, wild greens for your smoothies. Free, organic, and tasty!
  • I agree with pianissima, if the hummus has canola oil in it, ditch ASAP! Thin hair is something I’ve been doing research into lately, so this is what I’ve found: You could try eating more garlic, onions, radishes, or arugula for sulfur since you can…
  • You could also try doing some cleanses. Something like Ejuva or Collonix. Also, try doing a liver cleanse, or liver flush (search for those in the forums). The inability to properly digest fats is usually do to congestion in the liver. Plus, greens …
  • I simply eat fruit, salad (with minimal dressing), low fat snacks, or a green smoothie throughout the day, and leave the nuts/fats for dessert/dinner.
  • Maybe try drinking some green smoothies. Cacao is also an appetite suppressant.
  • The link doesn’t work and I can’t find the product on the site. I would really like to make these though. I used to love those candies. Do you have a list of ingredients and/or a pic?
  • I’ve heard of people using urine therapy before, but I personally don’t plan on it. I didn’t know that was part of his cleanse, so I’m going to pass on that idea. Jubb’s books look interesting, though (from what I could tell on Amazon). Has anyone h…
  • Victoria talks about this in her book Green For Life. I believe that she noted an increase in the HCL levels of those who drank green smoothies. David Wolfe suggests taking a shot of lemon juice (or another citrus) before eating a salad to increase …
  • I just posted a crab cake recipe which uses 2 scallions.
  • This is one of the reasons I like to recomend a book called The Thrive Diet. In it there are recipes for energy bars, salad dressing which are quick to make, tasy, and long lasting, and the recipes themselves are pretty simple and tasty. Also, you d…
  • Maybe you could write/call the company and ask them. When you do find out, be sure to post the recipe!
  • I read that distilled water shouldn’t be in contact with metal, but I don’t know if stainless steal is an exception or not.
  • Stefunk – I did the cleanse back in highschool, before I went raw. My skin slowly went back to the way it was before the cleanse, as I was eating pretty poorly back then. Later, as I cleaned up my diet my skin also improved. Now that I’m mostly raw …
  • I’ve had the same problem for the past few months :-( I just finished reading David Wolfe’s book Eating for Beauty and he notes that it’s often caused by eating too much cooked fats, or even raw fats if you’ve been raw for long enough. The skin and …
  • I got mine at The Body Shop. It’s about $20 if I remember correctly.
  • Also try this site: http://www.naked-chocolate.com/recipes/ or you can go here for ideas: http://www.detoxyourworld.com/acatalog/food_and…
  • Right now I’m reading David Wolfe’s book Eating for Beauty and it’s quite interesting. It goes more in depth into the benefits of coconut oils, and other foods, as well as explaning the body’s need for sulphur, silicon and a few other minerals. I’d …
  • The ones I own and love: The Thrive Diet by Brendan Brazier, Living on Live Food by Alissa Cohen, and Rainbow Green Live-Food Cuisine by Gabriel Cousens. With Alissa’s book you can pretty much find anything cooked that you’d like to make raw, Gabrie…

  • Good luck on the juice fast, and with going raw! It’s great that you’re writing down your goals; it really does help you keep up with them. Hope to hear back with your success stories!
  • I make yam fries. You could also make chips using the same idea.

  • There’s actually an article about how much fat to eat in the latest issue of “Get Fresh”. You can download the issue for free also. They don’t advocate a lot of fats either.
  • I posted this link on another form but found it quite interesting. It’s called sequential eating and is based around studies done which show that the stomach actually digests food in layers, depending on what was eaten first. Also, vitamin-C helps y…
