  • Great posts! This is my first time (eep!)
  • I started yesterday and I feel great! I can't believe the energy I have. (I also can't believe I was worried about lacking energy)
  • That is what I figured, but these lemons REALLY need to be used, and I'm worried about going out of town while on the cleanse for the first time. I think I'm going to go through them and see how many can keep another week. Thank you for your answer.
  • Bringing this back up. I would really like to start tomorrow, as I have a ton of lemons that need to be used immediately. I will be traveling over the weekend. Has anyone done the MC while away from home? Should I wait until I'm back on the 12th? If…
  • **nervous, excited dance**
  • oh my gosh. A friend of the family just gave me ALL of the lemons off her tree. I am going to be starting the day after Christmas
  • Do you get your local grocer to buy your lemons/limes in bulk? or do you have a tree? for those who have done this one or more times, what do you think is the best way to get the fruit?
  • I would love to, but I've got too many food commitments the next few weeks. I am going to do my first around January 11th. Good luck on yours!
  • Joanna: you just made my mouth water. I always get HUGE bags of oranges from my great-uncle's trees -- like the big, black, lawn size bags -- for Christmas, and I've been holding off on buying oranges until then - the sheer amount always burn me out…
  • how about a corn salad? corn bell pepper avocado chunks a bit of salsa leek (or green onion) yummy!
  • Sprinkle with salt and throw them in the dehydrator for a while? I wish I had a better suggestion. I hope that by bumping this to the front page, you will get a better answer!
  • Sorry, that was really rambling. Its still early here. ^_^
  • My family is this way. They drive me nuts about it - so much so, that I have started avoiding meals that involve extended family. I don't mind hanging out with them, but I HATE eating with them. My coworkers mostly find my veganism endearing. One of…
  • I love the cherry avocado salad on this site. http://goneraw.com/recipe/cherry-avocado-salad
  • ooh! That sounds delicious! I heard Trader Joes has them really cheap right now, so I think I'm going to go buy a bunch.
  • I don't have an answer, but would love to hear it. You got an awesome deal - congratulations! I've never had one, but in the past raw squash hasn't agreed with my tummy.
  • ha! I'm the only veg*n in my family so they have informed me that I, too, am "on my own" I am making the thanksgiving dinner in Rose Lee Calabro's Living in the Raw Gourmet. I am in love with this book. I think only the bread needs a dehydrator. I'l…
  • I don't know about the toasty flavour, but have you tried mixing the coconut with a thick date syrup? that might give you a good gooey topping. I'll think on this more, and am excited to hear if anybody else has any suggestions. Will you share your …
  • I keep mine in the fridge. they seem just fine... though its rare they last long enough to go bad. ^_^
  • Are you soaking them? I wouldn't. I've never had a problem grinding dry flax in my coffee grinder. Good luck!

  • I have been eating a ton of fuyu persimmons. They are so so good! oh, and I have been thoroughly enjoying mirin plums. unfortunately, this is their last week at the local fruit stand. :(
  • Maybe I'll play around with a recipe for pumpkin cookies tomorrow
  • pumpkin cookies sound delicious!
  • Thanks in advance!
  • I'm going to be a voodoo doll.
  • I will think on this. In the meantime, hopefully, getting this to the front page will get more views.
  • Rose Lee Calabro has a few recipes in Living in the Raw Gourmet that have piqued my curiosity. I'm not 100% raw, and nobody else in my family - who comes to Thanksgiving anyway - is even vegetarian, so I will probably eat SOME cooked foods, but they…
  • Bumping this to the front for you. Curious to know if anyone has an answer for you
  • Thanks for the link. I work pretty close to this place, and did not know about it. I'll have to see if I can buy them and pick them up.
  • We don't have it in our raw foods section. I get it in the raw aisle of the Whole Foods. I wish I remembered the brand... I think its the Terramazon? Its expensive - I get the raw nibs. I LOVE mixing them into everything!
