  • I'll have to try some of these soup recipes. It is beginning to get cold here. The problem is, the last raw soups I tried, I hated. I really hope I find one I love this winter!
  • I mix home-dried fruit, nuts, and seeds and bring them or I bring grapes. would love to hear what everyone else does
  • Try D&S Ranch: http://www.california-almonds.com/index.php They're out of Central CA - their ranch is in the valley, and they pack them up in the hills near Yosemite. I called a few days ago to see if they had a physical store (I live nearby) --…

  • Thanks Swayze. I am mostly back to normal. Some foods are really really bothering me - mostly these are cooked foods, so not eating them is really no great loss. I've been eating lots of watermelon and bananas (in separate meals) the last few days.
  • Thanks - I mostly ate soups and smoothies after I posted this, and while I seem to be digesting foods a little better, I'm still not quite feeling like I'm handling many things as well as normal. I did have watermelon for lunch and it went well. :)
  • Have you tried the Cheese with Spring Onions? http://goneraw.com/recipe/cheese-spring-onions It is my favourite and comes out perfect for me every time. Maybe try adding less liquid?

  • I bought the five tray earlier this year, and while it is usually sufficient for what I'm making, I often wish I had more trays to fill up.
  • Amber: that sounds amazing. I'm going to have to try it the first chance I get.
  • BelleBelinda: Sometimes if I want to make my pate into patties, I'll dehydrate them, but for the most part, I just eat them fully hydrated. Springleaf: I made these brownies you posted, and rolled them in coconut. After a night in the fridge, they t…

  • I usually bring a really smoothie to work with me for breakfast - and it usually holds me over until 12:30/1:00. I also like to bring a really huge fruit salad to eat throughout the day. I'll also make a green salad, but I put the tomatoes (already …

  • LaEnsalada: I assume it is.
  • Did you cut them in half? if not, then they are going to take quite some time. I dehydrated pitted cherries not too long ago, and it took almost a week - I thought the hole where the pit was would be sufficient, its not. I'd cut them in half, it wil…
  • I know one can freeze guac quite well. I've never tried to freeze a whole avocado. I love the Cherry Avocado Salad found on this site. I also like to cut an avo in half, take out the pit and put some of the dressing from that recipe into the "pit ho…
  • I found mine at Whole Foods. I had to ask someone to point them out for me. They were in the bulk aisle on the side with the packaged nuts/seeds/dried fruit, on the bottom in a corner.
  • Swayze: that sounds amazing! I'm going to have to try it soon! We went to the lake yesterday and I made a jicama "potato" salad (a recipe from this site) and a quinoa salad with asparagus and tomatoes. It was easy, and everyone loved the quinoa sala…
  • ooh, nori rolls sound really good. I haven't had any in a long time.
  • Yum, daniefon, that sounds delicious!
  • Thanks superfood. jicama salad and avo dressing sounds really good.
  • I love zucchini as pasta, but I can only eat a few bites. Cooked, I can eat a whole zucchini, but when I eat it raw, I get a terribly upset stomach. .. I have no idea why my body doesn't seem to like it.
  • I'm not sure my exact cost of food for the week, but I DO find that when I'm buying local, I save a lot more money. Lately I've been eating lots of papaya and that is where my money is going. Yesterday, I went to a local fruit stand and got 1 very l…

  • I used sunflower seeds and leek (instead of onion). Is fresh coriander the same thing as cilantro? I used cilantro. Dinner is at 6, I've got my plate in the dehydrator to warm it a little. It was fantastic at room temperature. Joyce: Thank you for b…
  • I have NO cashews or macadamias, however, I have loads of almonds. I think I'm going to try it with them, or sunflower seeds if I have enough. What does everyone think? Will it be totally gross if I don't use cashews or macadamias?
  • Evergreen: your photo is amazing. I can't wait to make this. I just hit up the farmer's market and whole foods and got everything I need. Will be making it (excitedly!) tomorrow evening.
  • I will totally make this on Saturday. It looks delish. I'm drooling a little.
  • I live at home with my "meat and potatoes" family. My dad cooks the most amazing Greek treats, and once in a while, if it happens to be vegan (he does, once in a while, with my favourites, make some wonderful vegan treats) I cave. And my Grandma dug…
