  • I’m a big fan of Whole Foods. They have a great selection AND….whenever I need something, I ask them to order it for me. So, if there is something that you want and don’t see…ask them if they can order it for you. They probably can :) Cheers! Chef …
  • I would try the chia seeds as suggested above. They work just like flax and you might not have a bad reaction. Have a super day! You can find chia seeds at http://www.goldminenaturalfood.com/ Chef Kristen Suzanne
  • From Amazon I buy Agave Nectar and Raw Chocolate powder. They have great deals if you buy in bulk. I’ll get the box of agave nectar (12 bottles) and with free shipping it ends up costing about $3 a bottle. I like Naturalzing as well. I love getting …
  • I think we’re conditioned to feel weighted down and it’s hard to get used to feeling so light and high. I say this thinking that you don’t mean you feel dizzy or wanting to pass out. There’s a difference. If you’re looking to be more grounded and we…

  • WILD RICE: This is how it’s done in the Raw restaurants. Buy wild rice from www.wildernessfamilynaturals.com/wildrice.htm They are the best! Then, if you have a dehydrator, place 1/2 cup inside a 1/2 gallon mason jar filled with purified water. Sea…

  • World Health Organization (WHO) recommends we get 10% of our daily caloric intake from protein. The longest living cultures in the world have 10-20% of their calories from protein, and it’s hardly even from animals. Menstrual cycles…some interesting…
  • It’s important not to mix melons with anything, so when I drink watermelon smoothies or eat watermelon, I eat it alone. Some of my favorite smoothies have spinach and banana or spinach and apple and cinnamon (yum!) or pineapple, romaine and cilantr…
  • There is a great thread about Raw Agave on www.gliving.tv in their discussion forum. Check it out. Chef Kristen Suzanne

  • Yes, I would dehydrate it straight away, then freeze it. When you’re ready to use it in cookie, cake, or other recipes, simply grind it to a flour. Cheers! Chef Kristen Suzanne
  • I have both of them and I use my blendtec much more. It’s easier to clean and use in my opinion. I still love my Vitamix, but prefer and recommend the blendtec. Cheers! Chef Kristen Suzanne www.KristensRaw.com
  • Hulled.(meaning…without the hulls, as the seed only) Cheers! Chef Kristen Suzanne
  • Wow, this has been such a great thread. I love the “TMI”!!! :)))))
  • It’s always best to store your Raw food in an airtight container in the refrigerator, in my opinion. It helps maintain freshness and the shelf life. Cheers! Chef Kristen Suzanne
  • Remember that your choices are abundant on this diet. You can eat a lot or a little. It can work for everyone! And, I mean everyone! You can do this a variety of ways. These steps alone will get you eating about 50% Raw foods and well on your way to…

  • Super easy and fast to make it yourself. All you have to do is grind the unhulled sesame seeds in a food processor until it takes on a creamy texture (takes anywhere from 5-10 minutes or so). You might need to stop it a few times during the process …
  • Living Tree Community has the most delicious Raw tahini. They sell it at both Whole Foods and Wild Oats. They also have, by far, the best Raw olive oil. http://livingtreecommunity.com/ Chef Kristen Suzanne

  • 24 hours of dehydrating is a good rule of thumb. Enjoy! Chef Kristen Suzanne
  • As long as it tastes, fresh, it’s okay. However, I recommend dehydrating it right away and this will make it last much longer. Then, grind it to a powder when you’re ready to use it. If you freeze it while it’s wet, there is a lot of water in it and…

  • Same here…I’ve tried. It’s my guess that it’s just not a heavily sprayed crop and probably has minimal pesticides on it because of this. Chef Kristen Suzanne
  • Thanks! I have to give thumbs up to the Cafe Gratitude book as well. I really like it. They use Irish Moss quite a bit, so if you’re not familiar, that might take a little learning. But, they have great food at their restaurants and in their book. C…
