  • Beginning Day 5. Still so far so good, although two new hitches: 1-having an even harder time with the cold. I’ve always been a cold wimp (I’m a California girl!!), but now I’m wearing gloves at HOME!! 2-woke up a little dizzy. My head’s spinning a …
  • Question: when transitioning back after the MC, should we help our intestine along with some probiotics? It seems wise to me. Anyone starting the MC soon: stock up on Toilet Paper!!
  • JKMN, you can’t eat anything while on the MC. It’s a fast really, so only lemonade, water, and mint tea. Shutter Nutter, words of wisdom: drink loads of lemonade the first few days, which are apparently the hard ones. Take some wherever you go. Nev…
  • Update on Day 3: the same as before – quite easy and no bad effects at all. No hunger pangs at all. I wanted to note something that might be why this is all going so smoothly for me. I’m not doing this for weight loss (although that would be an adde…
  • JKMN, here’s a 30 page outline of the Master Cleanse, but it’s really a quick read: http://healthandlight.com/TheMasterCleanse.pdf LovelyScene, the SWF isn’t really bad. The worst part for me is drinking the salt water. I’m using a straw and taking…
  • Oops, forgot to add that I got some laxative tea from the pharmacy – Senna leaves just like you wrote LovelyScene. Don’t know why I didn’t think of going to the pharmacy sooner!!
  • Hey there. Day 2 is over and I’m almost disappointed it hasn’t been harder. The worst part is drinking salt water for the flush. Honestly, if it keeps being this easy I might even go beyond 10 days! I’m quite energetic. I hope it’s as easy for the …
  • I’m already on Day 2 of my MC so I’m a little further ahead, but I’d love to keep you company!! Update: Day 1 and Day 2 so far have been a breeze. No energy lull, no detox symptoms, and minimal food cravings. I have to find a good laxative tea, cuz …
  • 35 or better yet 25+tax!!
  • Thanks guys!! I feel great, although it’s only DAY 1.
  • Since the Hallelujah diet is so raw, I really doubt people got sick off it. It’s so far superior to the SAD diet. They must’ve been eating food that was spoiled. I’m sure without knowing it, most people on this website come pretty close to that diet…
  • The Hallelujah diet looks wonderful for the vast majority of people. If people ate this way we’d have empty hospitals!! No, it’s not 100% raw, but very close and very healthy. You can download a free outline from the hacres.com website.
  • It depends on the temperature in your house whether coconut oil will be solid or liquid. I think it solidifies at about 75
  • Welcome aboard. Hopefully you’ll feel as encouraged and supported by this website as I have. It’s addictive!! Read as much on this as you can – it’s empowering. Taking your health into your own hands is a wonderful experience. Have fun!!
  • If you buy your dates at certain places like Chinese shops, expect a sugar glaze too. Yuck. Here’s a cool link to a YouTube talk about dates by the DATE PEOPLE (as a well reputed website you can buy raw organic dates from). http://www.youtube.com/w…

  • I’m moving to Kauai come October. My twin sis and father live there. Definitely all the north shore beaches are must visits, like Hanalei Bay. One of my favorite beaches is Rock Quarry (might be hard to find) cuz a warmish river flows into the bea…
  • I smash the pods with a mortar and pestle, then open them to extract the seeds, then I grind them in the coffee grinder. If I’m using them for tea, then I just smash the pods without removing anything.
  • Any pasteurization is not raw. It’s pretty dead, actually. Avoid it if you can!

  • My father just called to tell me excitedly that his hair is going from white back to gray. He couldn’t believe it. He’s not raw, but at 65 he’s finally stopped drinking soda and now that he lives in Hawaii has been drinking loads of coconut water – …
  • I’ve never seen dandelion greens in a shop (here in Italy), but they grow EVERYWHERE. Just make sure you forage them away from agricultural fields where there may be pesticides used and away from where too many dogs live ;)
  • I can’t really eat any sprouted beans without first steaming them briefly, otherwise I end up on the toilet for hours. I have read online that large beans like chickpeas and kidneys are toxic if eaten raw – indeed that’s the effect they have on me. …
  • I was raised Buddhist but never got into religion of any sort. My Mom is really into it. I think it’s a wonderful philosophy and if I were to choose one I’d choose it. Nam-my-ho-renge-kyo.

  • Fortunately my husband supports me and even digs a lot of my creations. He’s a real salad lover and HATES cooked veggies. No, he’s not raw nor vegan (but neither am I), but meat doesn’t have a place on our table, and that seems fine to him!!
  • I use oil on my skin, work it in like soap, then rub it off with cotton. My skin has never been better!

  • Excessive cacao or unraw chocolate can give me the jitters, prevent me from sleeping, and trigger migraines in my twin sister. Moderation is the key, and best to avoid in the evening if you’re sensitive.

  • ...and also crazy skin. Really bad acne when you come off it. That’s what happened to me. I’d never get back on it. I gained something like 15 pounds and couldn’t lose it dieting – only getting off it.

  • Here’s some of what you can expect on the Pill: blotchy skin, weight gain, depression, diminished sex drive and who knows how many other issues that tiny little pill brings on. Those are the ones I got and every other woman I know who got on it.

  • It’s got way more vitamins and minerals than other sweeteners and when you consider it’s “only” boiled, it’s far less processed. There are other raw sweeteners like agave nectar, honey and stevia, but there’s some controversy about the agave (some c…

  • I have both tile and hardwood and I love both. Hardwood in the bedroom, which is great cuz you’re often barefoot and it’s quite warm. Tile in all other rooms for practicality. The problem with hardwood is that it’s rather delicate – scratches and sc…
