  • What meals do you have planned for the rest of the month? :)

  • Try some of the "like baked" recipes on here (especially the cookies). They always fix any cooked food or sweet cravings I have.

  • That's a tough one to deal with! Maybe smoothies with frozen ingredients would release less of a smell into the air? I know it's not really the same as juicing.
  • Welcome to the community!
  • How are you feeling so far? :)

  • Woot! You're doing great  I love pomegranates. I've actually been meaning to pick some up.

  • Welcome! Your lunch and smoothies sound good!  I would leave something prepared in the fridge so you can get extra sleep when needed and not worry too much about food prep each time. I know in the beginning I would cheat because I didn't want to d…
  • Congrats on one of the best decisions of your life!

  • Juicing always give me more energy. Maybe it is the lack of fiber, since fiber is known for slowing down the digestive system and thus our whole system to some degree.
  • There seem to be less parts  I wish I knew where to find you one.
  • Interesting. I wonder if it's easier to clean than the other type?
  • I used to count calories carefully in the beginning to make sure I wasn't starving myself or going insanely overboard with the food.  These days I can kind of gauge it without having to count.

  • Hey :) I think the question was answered in this thread: https://www.therawtarian.com/community/f/discussion/comment/108955/#Comment_108955
  • Salt is raw as far as I know :) Most spices are just dried, not roasted, but it may depend on the brand.
  • B12 can be hard to come by outside of supplements. I usually take some just to be careful.
  • Welcome to the forum! Have you had your blood sugar tested?
  • I'm happy to hear the nausea passed. I hope your sore throat does the same soon!

  • I have a root canal. I do worry about the health risks but it's never caused me any problems.  I think there might be a few recipes that you may want to adjust to make them easier to chew, for yourself and the crowns.
  • Welcome! Are you still feeling bad? I felt hungry a lot for the first couple of weeks. It's a transition period. Bananas helped for me.

  • I only have one crown. It hasn't been a problem. Are you worried about wear on the crowns or is it more chewing with them?
  • Hi!  I can't say what they are but I'm happy you got them out. I think it's vitally important for everyone to do, especially if living in a warmer climate where the ground never freezes and parasites just thrive.

  • That must be miserable!  I've had some sinus issues over the years but none recently, so maybe a raw diet does help. I hope it does for you.
  • Hey :) Pumpkin seeds are a pretty close match.

  • Do you have room for a garden or a few potted plants in the window? It's not everything but its a start.  I have an endless supply of watermelon in the summer - all from some effort and about $10 in supplies.
  • I used to eat them by the handful. I must have gotten lucky with a less potent variety.  I'm glad you started feeling better!
  • Maximbme said: I'm sorry to hear that! Frankly speaking, I thought that bananas are hypo-allergenic.   Never trust the safe foods, ha.  I'm allergic to honey - the thing people suggest to take when you have allergies.  It took me years t…
  • Welcome to the community! I'm a fan of doing things as part of class too, especially if my motivation is waning.

  • I know seeds and nuts get cold over the winter in nature and still sprout in the spring but I'm not entirely sure about the freezer. I would do a small experiment to find out.  But, yes, they need to be raw to sprout.
  • Not quite an omnivore, but I still have occasional vegetarian days.

  • Refrigeration costs would probably go down.
