  • Wow, have prices gone up since I bought mine. I got my 14-C Cuisinart for $200 a few years back… and now they sell for $300. The link you sent seems like an older model because Cuisinart doesn’t sell it… I can’t believe regular price is $400. I have…
  • Dancin Durian… is the swelling like edema? If so, you could be lacking amino acid(s)... protein! I mention that, because that I just read about edema is caused by inadequate consumption of protein. Maybe you are lacking an amino acid or more for you…

  • Maybe that explains why hulled sunflower seeds are germinated usually… and sunflower greens (with shell) are used for growing into a grass. Maybe, maybe not.
  • Cilantro removes heavy metals… but take it with chlorella because it binds to it and eliminates it. I read that somewhere… maybe on a post here somewhere.
  • See my post on this forum. Raw butter, coconut oil, raw fats should help.

  • Awww, that’s cute. the difference between being full on Sad, and on Raw, is that Sad makes your tummy feel full, and Raw makes your whole body feel full!

  • Majom, Great link. Thanks. I have the book… I just didn’t want to write the paper since I’m short on time. Fortunately, thanks to the readers of this post (and replies), I now have one…
  • I see you mentioned sumac. I have eaten that in my basmati rice before. Is that the same thing? Is sumac from oak?
  • Ouch. That does not sound like fun. I had no idea mango (skin) could cause such a reaction. Thanks for this bit of information.
  • *hehe* Mishimoo... well, I care about what others "see" through the gaps between the bathroom stall doors. BTW, that is all good advise. I switched from Diva Cup to tampon a couple times... and the smallest tampon (which was the one I used before) d…
  • *hehe* Animal? That's kinda funny. I never thought of that. :o)
  • I just got the diva cup. Used it for two cycles. I love it. It takes a while getting used to taking it out and not making a mess, especially when the restroom doesn’t have running water nearby to rinse. But, someone suggested taking a wet paper towe…
  • What? Not the bhut jolokia pepper? Only the hottest known pepper in the world with over a whopping million heat units? 200 times hotter than the habanero! Well, I’m cutting down the spice. For sure! And, I wouldn’t even want to touch the bhut joloki…
  • bitt – Something savory – eh? I’ll keep that in mind! I did try the green onion nut cheese. Yumm!
  • Pickles? Wow. We love raw pickles and if I can use spring onions instead, that would be perfect. I wonder how many more/less I need… Thanks for the ideas.
  • Yes, they are Spring Onions! Wow, I’m going to try them. I am trying the green onion pate for lunch today. I don’t have peppercorn so looks like I can use part of the recipe for the cheese w/ spring onions. Sounds delicious. And sounds like asparagu…
  • Thanks newbie. The asparagus idea is perfect. Because we have a lot of lettuce to eat! We even got freckled butter lettuce. Never had it. This asparagus is so good… I’m sure I’ll enjoy it! I have lots of green onions… too bad I can’t make a meal out…
  • Your welcome. Hair loss (for a women) is not fun! It can be very stressful and ends up causing more hair loss. Just remember it takes two months to notice changes. Although for the flaxseed I took every day for a week, I did notice results sooner. S…
  • Yes. I know a lot about hair loss… because I had high stress when I learned I was adopted. I was 25 when I found out, and just graduating, leaving home, finding a new job, moving to a new state… in addition to the news. Talk about high stress. I wou…
  • I started a smoothies event at work. I’m taking my blender and making smoothies for co-workers one day a week for 7 weeks. They are bringing in their whole foods, and I just blend!

  • Great topic! Good news! I was asked to give a 2nd raw food class, specifically about germinating and sprouting, at my church! People want to know! I’m excited. :o) And, we just got our first-year CSA. The asparagus is amazing raw and freshly picked!…

  • Thank you all for the great advice!
  • Thanks Alix. I will keep this in mind too. I love being able to get advice from like minded people! I love it here!
  • angie, Thank you for the great advice. You are right about the possibility of missing the opportunity. I also don’t think we could have a child right away upon returning to the U.S. (if say, we were there for a year) because we would need to find a …
  • bitt, hehe… I never thought about the whole “mess in the toilet”. hehe
  • Hahaha. Funny. It’s non-invasive in that it goes in one end and out the other… instead of going in the same end it’s coming out. hehe It’s the salt water flush with a colon cleanser (psyllium seed husk and liquid bentonite). It’s in ratios not menti…
  • Just want to add my two cents here. I’ve never had a colonics, but I have had a non-invasive colon cleanse. And, I’m very happy with the results. Colonics? Hmmmm, I’m still not sure I could do that. I like my non-invasive colon cleanser experience. …
  • Good idea. I find that Real Salt sea salt requires more salt for cooked foods and less salt for raw foods. Plus, it requires even less salt if, say, the food is well processed! Probably due to increased surface area and thus, increased saltiness.

  • Wow, so many ways to get rid of ants. Let us know what you try and what worked! I too heard about the ants leaving a trail/scent. You have to wipe that out.
  • I just read a magazine on that. It said vetiver with olive oil for ant repellant. I don’t know what vetiver is… I just took the note on it to research later… when I needed it. No ant problems here… just a few crickets.
