  • Extended warranty? I didn’t get it. They have such a good reputation… I didn’t bother. Did BlendTec offer one? I have both blenders, and I didn’t bother with extended warranties. I got one for my car thinking it would take me time before I reached 7…
  • Samilicious, you’re not alone. I haven’t been 100% raw, but my diet has improved a great deal… and my vision on my left eye has gotten worse. But, I think I have other problems… with that eye… I didn’t have such problems before. However, after readi…
  • Absolutely need a refrigerator. Otherwise, my food will go bad. It’s hard enough preparing raw food daily… so, it makes my life easier. One step at a time for me… I can’t see myself parting with it anytime soon… but, maybe one day I can downsize. :o…

  • So, if you remove the fiber with the nut milk bag… I’m sure not all of it is removed. I would have to use a really fine (small holes) bag because the high-speed blenders really break the food down into tiny sizes. Would it change the oxidation rate …
  • Sky Princess: Great idea about the nut milk bags to remove some fiber! I’ve got to remember that one. I do that for nut milks, but it didn’t occur to me to do that for green smoothies! I’m sure there is still fiber in there, but less is better when …
  • I vote for the blender… you can make ice cream, dressings, soups, smoothies, nut butters… Downside? Making green smoothies makes them high in fiber unlike juicing them. And, they oxidize less than juiced drinks. Well, that’s not a downside, but the …
  • Yeah, I had a similar experience. I don’t know if they were from TJ’s but the bananas were rubbery… I don’t think they were ripe enough. I still used them and ate them as banana crepes.
  • Yes, out of the shell, that would be sunflower sprouts. Sprouting from the shell would give you sunflower greens and would require soil. We sprouted sunflower seeds in a shell, but without soil.
  • I’m not sure if this will help, but have your been drinking water? The amount of half your weight in ounces. I used to have mild tonsile “problems”... and it went away with water.
  • It’s bad sugars that make the skin loose and weak… What? Oh my! I never heard of that. wow.
  • RawK – It’s from my personal experience… and my husband, mother-in-law, and someone else posted about it too. You are totally correct… water! And plenty of it! My husband was pretty much constipated when he drank them. I had great bowel movements un…
  • We did ~50 days of green smoothies, but we also ate too. One thing we noticed is that green smoothies are very constipating because of all the fiber. So, drink plenty of water or water down those smoothies! Someone suggested to use a nut milk bag or…
  • Tooth Soap… interesting name for it! Thanks.
  • Thanks for clearing that up Meditating. So, I wonder what IS in their toothpaste. The other day, my husband and I were shopping for toothpaste and I was reading and Google-ing the ingredients on my phone. It was amazing what you can’t buy at the sto…
  • Oh wow! That certainly helps. I didn’t know that. Maybe I need to get toothpaste made and sold in Europe! It would just make me feel better. :o) Thanks for the info… I should check what Europe is doing… and maybe slowly wean myself off fluoride. I s…
  • Yes, I’ve read other posts about fluoride… I’ll give it up one day… but again, I’ve got to meet people with nice teeth that don’t use regular toothpaste… I haven’t meant anyone like that – yet.
  • Moth – I understand your thought too… I just wonder if we can avoid eating foods that are modified… I watched a video about Monsanto, and they can genetically engineer corn to make us more passive. Mind-controlling-food? That irks me. Yes, I don’t s…
  • Exactly why I think getting into naturopathy or homeopathy withoug a medical doctor degree could be useles… that is, if Codex ‘goes through’. My opinion: It’s better to get a degree from an accredited school. Example: It is better to become a regist…
  • Someone posted this earlier… it’s interesting that no farm or distributor has been found to be the main source. I wonder if they’ll find them. If not, I wonder who is doing what to our food. Fortunately, nobody died. Yes, and I too wonder if this is…
  • People love the spiral slicer. What equipment do you have? Will you have easy access to water? A sink? I recommend choosing recipes based on what equipment you use and what can be demonstrated or pre-made. Dehydrated food will require to be made bef…
  • Does anyone try charcoal? Would it be good? I use Tom’s now… and there is one with fluoride (cringe, I know it’s not good for you… just haven’t let it go yet). I’d like to make sure something really does work. The people I met that use charcoal… we’…

  • Oh wow, that is totally not what I was watching! I’ll check again.
  • Ummm, am I watching the right video? I’ve listened to most of the first video… pieces of it here and there throughout the whole thing. It doesn’t do anything for me… maybe I’ve got the wrong video. Can someone provide a summary… to see if it’s worth…
  • Yeah, I saw their book at Borders. I was surprised. The cover looks nice too. Looks like a good book. But, I didn’t get it… I got a juice fasting book instead.
  • Pretty good stuff. I especially like the statistics… wow, 4 out of 5. That’s pretty high.
  • Well, I haven’t read all the posts but I agree with sylistchick… especially your melatonin/seratonin. Plus, there are studies that prove that 2 hours before midnight are more beneficial than 4 hours after midnight. Also, it’s best to sleep by 9P eve…
  • Yes, Zoe has a replacement for nama shoyu using mushroom! Search here for May 16, 2008 post. However, I would like a replacement for it without using mushroom.

  • Same thing came to mind about the study being on raw or cooked.
  • I don’t have any advice really… but, a good friend of mind said first cold pressed olive oil (about a Tbsp) would help relieve symptoms. Google it. But 2 weeks is too long! Probably good to see the doctor. Did you stop the epsom salt/oil cleanse alr…
  • I haven’t heard of it before… but I did google it and found what you said. The pain is caused by the amino acid 1-canavanine… which means nothing to me (i.e. don’t know what it is/does) Well, like all greens and sprouts, you should not eat it contin…
