  • I love the green bags, and I think they help a lot.I’m going to start taking them to the store with me and putting my produce in them rather than using their plastic bags. Aside from saving plastic by using fabric bags, that’ll save even more!

  • I like Jake’s Unbaked Cookies. They taste like sugar cookies. They are addictive. I used to get them at Rancho’s Market in San Diego. I think you can also get them at NaturalZing.com or rawguru.com I love the Spinach Quiche made by Good Mood Food in…
  • Interesting. I might like to do it sometime, but how do you know if the people evaluating your answers are really credentialed professionals. I love the idea. I’d just have to hear more about from people who have tried it. Thanks for starting this t…
  • Lately, I’ve been putting my food scraps through the food processor to help speed up the breaking down process. Lately, most of the scraps I have are lemon rinds since I’m on the master cleanse. What do you guys think? Just seems like it takes thing…

  • rawleen, Why do you discourage putting meat into the pile. My husband is not a vegan or raw foodist, so sometimes I have meat scraps. In nature, animals die and rot into the soil. They are composted. In fact blood meal and bone meal are often used t…

  • The only Candadian raw food store I’ve shopped from is www.rawganique.com . They’re great, but they don’t have a huge food selection, at least last time I looked. I buy a lot of my stuff from www.naturalzing.com
  • I’ve never made it with groats before, but I’ve used rye and wheat. 60 hours is a very long time to ferment rejuvelac. I only ferment it 24 hours. Maybe yours is overly fermented.

  • Who took your money and didn’t deliver?? Let us know so we won’t order from them.
  • I generally use soaked nuts for all recipes. Some recipes do call for dry nuts, so I keep a supply of soaked and dehydrated nuts on hand.

  • Thanks redhouse, That sounds good. Is that 2 cups each of flax seed and sunflower seeds?
  • I think Cheese with Spring Onions would have to be my very favorite!
  • Thanks, Carmenita. I appreciate your good wishes. I’m glad yours went well. I’m on day #2, and feeling pretty good, as usual. The only issues I’ve ever had on the master cleanse are hunger sometimes on the second or third day which is mild and goes …
  • I started the Master Cleanse today. This is my third time. I’ll be checking in daily. So far I’m feeling fine. I just took a 3 1/2 mile walk part of which is a very steep hill. Hope you all are doing well!!
  • Last time I checked, rawguru.com had a good price. I LOVE my 9 tray Excaliber!!!
  • I’ve been using it every morning in my smoothies for about 5 months. It has lots of good herbs for female issues which is why I’m taking it. Everything is going fine, so I think it works well.
  • It looks like I’m going to have to start tomorrow or Wednesday, but I think that’ll be fine. sgmom adn kminty, I found that drinking peppermint tea was helpful on the more difficult days (which are few and far between.) I usually start to get cold …
  • Yes, I’m on for Monday!!
  • kminty ~ I’m the one who started that thread! It was my last master cleanse which went very well. I’m glad people are still posting to the thread although I’ve sort of lost track of it.
  • I’m excited, too, sgmom. It’s so good to have support! I’m looking forward to Monday!
  • Moth, The MC is much, much less intense than a water fast. I’m usually functional and energetic while on the MC. The MC consists of drinking a lemonade made from lemon juice, grade b maple syrup, water and cayenne pepper. You also do a salt water fl…
  • I can’t start over the weekend because of some commitments I have, but I could join you on Monday. I appreciate the offer. I hope joining late is okay.
  • That must have been a very SAD experience. I hope you’re feeling better now!!
  • I just spent the last half hour looking at the website. What fun. I may point out the sun oven to the cooked foodists in my life.

  • I grew up around orange trees. They weren’t treated with anything, and the oranges turned orange.
  • Carmenita, Thanks, I’ll try that. Do you keep the soaking almonds in the refridgerator at all or just at room temperature?
  • Who knows how to really sprout almonds? I can’t find anyone who does. It’s hard info to find. I have genuinely raw, unpasteurized almonds direct from a farmer, and I don’t know how to sprout them. I just soaked them and dehydrated them.
  • I went to the quiz and read it most of it. I have a hard time taking it seriously. He doesn’t write like a serious professional. He doesn’t have an objective tone and writes things that are emotionally charged. He also doesn’t make a lot of sense, I…
  • I didn’t watch that link because I’ve seen what animals go through, but I’d like to thank you for being a vegan. I’m a vegan, too. I’ve read that as a vegan, we save about 32 animals a year from torturous, inhumane condition and death.

  • Everything that comes out of your body smells better when you’re raw (except for awhile during detox.) In my personal experience, raw liberates you from being smelly..
