  • Cool find Chris. I’ve also read of someone with metastatic colon cancer who was cured by raw food. My mom has a patient with cancerous liver tumor on a raw diet, also.
  • rawforhealth, youre right! That is a very popular use of it. Also check out these amazing Cinnamon Rolls
  • Yea, but the only way you can post recipes on here in the short term is with a photo. I think Kandace and Ray are working pretty hard at transferring the system to a new computer to fix the problems.
  • I even have a photo attached and can’t post recipes. It seemed to work only when I used the photos from iphoto versus my digital camera.
  • My mom has tried it; according to her it’s very energizing and better for older people, but I think it’s a little unnecessary.

  • Well, if you bought the hulled sesame seeds from the store those aren’t raw. They made me sick as a dog when I ate them. Hulled sesame seeds are never raw. I’m sure the raw ones would be much less bitter. Either way, sesame seeds are naturally a bit…

  • 1) Blue green algae and fresh fruit are equal 2) Simple raw desserts, Crysn's recipes say it all, or a spinach salad, maybe with a tablespoon of raw aged nut cheese 3) Oranges, grapes, spinach, raw juice, whole raw prey for Blueberry (does that coun…
  • I think so too. But in the meantime, why not just search for one of her recipes, like the double fudge brownies, on the home page? Then click on poemomm’s profile from there?
  • If you want hard cheese you need to age it like regular cheese is aged. You can check out the Dr. Cow forum for more on that.
  • I’ve tried them according to the Wai diet. I tried an egg in a smoothie and I became very hot and tired. I felt very strange. They affected me a bit the next day but not much. I don’t think they are good for the health and they don’t help digestion …
  • Hey Ray, I had a feeling you were working really hard :) Thanks.
  • Nope I’m using Safari, but it’s weird because I was able to a few weeks ago. I was using my built in webcam to take the picture which worked and now I’m using my regular camera which doesn’t work but used to before this whole thing got started.I wil…
  • Why don’t you try to eat lots of broths and soups? They are cooked but more or less benign. Even a chicken broth with carrots and good salt will soothe your cravings. Remember also lots of juices, like orange-mango!
  • I know www.alissacohen.com sells truly raw oats, but I’m not sure of the price.
  • Hey there! Just so you can’t access www.realrawfoods.com it’s actually www.realrawfood.com, slight difference there, as there are two different places (it sounds like you got the right site though) I get the wild Spanish almonds (leery of the Califo…
  • At many health stores and online I’m sure you could buy simple water filters. You can get them pretty cheap, and they filter out water for a year before you need another one.
  • I don’t see why any type of container wouldn’t work, the mason jar sounds fine…keep them in the fridge though, that’s where they store best.
  • marionvalleygirl, that was really funny xD
  • Oh, gotcha. :)
  • Hey Angie, I was just curious where you got those almonds? TJ’s? When you sprout almonds, they don’t develop long tails like seeds do. You have to split the almond in half and look at the tip inside, and you should see a little sprout shoot. It’s ha…
  • Good point QT, in another forum someone bought cashews from TJ’s which sprouted and someone else also bought cashews from TJ’s which didn’t sprout. I bet difference TJs have different sources of nuts.
  • Zoe, that sounds great! I need to look for some Italian almonds. Sounds like the Spanish almonds I got! They are unbelievable!
  • Yea, that’s what I’m thinking too. Real Raw Food sells pretty cheap nuts at around 10$ a pound (usually online they’re like 15) and the nuts are really good quality.
  • Steamed almonds are supposed to sprout. At my local health food store the almond pasteurization law on the almond bins writes that these pasteurized almonds can still sprout. So, it doesn’t have to be raw to sprout. But the fact that these from TJ’s…
  • It appears you can! You can use them right out of the pumpkin with the white shells on. This recipe explains: http://www.goneraw.com/recipes/2012-pink-pumpki…
  • She is actually right, you know. Button mushrooms do contain carcinogens and are a bit toxic. If you look all over the internet you will see it’s true. And yes, shiitake mushrooms are very medicinal and are much better in taste than buttons.
  • I am getting these Transitional Organic Raw Cashews from Real Raw Food which taste amazing, and when they are soaked, they don’t ferment like Sunfood’s cashews do. If you are buying from a place like Trader Joe’s, I wouldn’t trust that they are even…
  • Well, I usually squeeze mine hard and dry so the pulp is dry and crumbly. Couldn’t detect any fat. Sunflower seeds would work great, I just don’t do them because I don’t digest seeds that well. I would be curious to see how that comes out.
  • To make the cheese actually digestible (at least for me) I always soak my nuts in probiotics for 24 hours which makes them much more digestible than just soaking plain., and then grind them with water till creamy. Add acidophilous, wrap in cheeseclo…
  • I can’t fathom the fact that some nuts don’t need to be soaked. I’ve tried unsoaked pistachios and they are horribly indigestible. I also don’t believe macadamia nuts only need to be soaked 4 hours. They are the heaviest nut ad for me even 12 hours …
