  • It looks good. If it was pasteurized it would be liquid. Even if it is creamed, raw honey, after harvest, always becomes thick and more solid.
  • Kandace and Ray are working on moving the system to a new computer so all these problems will be fixed soon. We just have to wait to edit our profiles till this is fixed.
  • If the blender overheats then that can break a fuse. Just stop the blender to rest every now ad again to prevent it from overheating. You need to transfer to a different outlet until the fuse repairs itself. I’ve actually read of this happening befo…
  • Yes, you can eat store-bought bean sprouts raw. They are very tasty in salads. Soaking is just soaking in water. Sprouting and germinating are the same things.
  • Maca powder come from the Peruvian maca root. It is a superfood that balances hormonal levels. Algae, such as Klamath Lake Wild Blue Green Algae, spirulina, and other microgreens are miraculous foods. They are very unusual in that they are rich in p…
  • Well, for things like purees, creams, pastes, and doughs, you do need a food processor or blender. Most nut milks need a blender. Most cookies, breads, and dry snacks need a dehydrator, but if all your ingredients are dry you can just freeze the coo…
  • I’ve seen that commercial. It is very enraging. I can’t believe they even legally pulled that off, I mean, it’s the same as saying smoking in moderation improves your breathing, or that fried meat cleans out your arteries in moderation.

  • you can buy the dr. cow at www.veganstore.com They only have the cashew one, but I tried going to rawvegansource.com and that only gave me the option of ground shipping which I didn’t want to risk.
  • Good point about the sprouting, sweetpea! I noticed mine become soft and crunchy like bean sprouts do but no tail!?
  • I actually have tried the wild jungle peanuts. They are very tasty when they are unsoaked, but not very digestible. When you soak them they sprout, and when you dehydrate them they are tasty again, but I haven’t bought them because they don’t digest…
  • Oh hehe sorry..yea..evergreen said it...apple cider vinegar. :)
  • You're welcome! Just be sure to mix it with olive oil as it's very strong by itself. I use that dressing in all my salads now :)
  • I LOVE balsamic vinegar. But I like to stay as raw as I can. I'm with you when you say ACV doesn't do the trick but I've found raw red wine vinegar to be as close to balsamic as you can get. It has that sweet flavor that probably makes balsamic attr…
  • No, balsamic vinegar is not raw. Red wine, however, is available raw by Eden Foods, at health stores. It makes things like salads very tasty when mixed with olive oil. I used to love balsamic vinegar, it didn’t make that much of a difference for me …
  • Juicy Fruit gum is made with the outer part of the jackfruit. If you have access to this fruit it would be interesting, but it’s pretty exotic unless your in California or Hawaii. A better bet would be this Raw Spruce Gum: http://www.motherearthnews…

  • Click on Forums. It’s right above the sponsor section on the right side of the page. It’s a small search box that’ a bit tricky to notice.

  • Once you click on the Forums Tab, look on the right side of the page near the sponsors section and there is a search box. I’ve noticed if you type in the name of the topic/thread it can’t identify that, but you have to type in a word in one of the p…

  • I don’t see why any nut would have parasites. I agree with rosehebrew, what exactly are you looking for?
  • haha that’s a funny dream. Well, only one way to find out! Take a big step back from bananas for one week, and the next try making raw chocolate and see what happens! :)

  • Everybody has answered this, but also is very relaxing and comforting to read a good book.
  • I use acidophilus, a specific strain of bacterial cultures. You can buy any brand, as all bacterial cultures are raw.
  • yes it’s a powder. It doesn’t make a big difference in getting rid of enzyme inhibitors (that alone can be achieved just be soaking overnight) but if you want a really light, totally digested and digestible nut it does make a difference.
  • Hmm, really, coz I have tried lots of times to soak flax and grind it in a smoothie and it doesn’t do very well for me. I always soak all my seeds even when I make crackers but I just don’t process them. I suppose everyone really is different!
  • Man that onion bread is just way too hard on anyone’s digestive system! Flax seeds and sunflower seeds will not process through me no matter what. For me, I just can’t eat a piece or two. It’s two addictive for that. For me, I digest nuts better whe…
  • There is a search function for the forums, but if you’re using Internet Explorer you can’t see it until the updates are finished. It works with Safari and Firefox though. It’s on the right side of the age around the Sponsor section when you click Fo…
  • I am so grateful Ray. This is like a present. I can’t wait for this weekend. :)
  • kandace, will we be able to uplaod new profile pics now? Thanks!
  • Hey there, I realized you were out of transition, but soup, like you said, is great whether your raw or not! It’s very soothing and will help any cravings for bread or meat.
  • I find eating lots of brothy soups really helps those cravings, even if it’s chicken broth or vegetable broth etc. A bowl of tomato broth with a few vegetables and salt really helps. I still eat broth, provided there are no solids other than vegetab…
  • Half and half is a bit extreme. Why don’t you just use 2% milk instead? I never drink half and half but drink 2% with no problem as long as I use a small amount. I only use 5-10 tablespoons of milk versus half a cup etc which is too much for my dige…
