  • lots of navel oranges all day long spinach walnut milk kombucha pretty much it. i eat pretty simple. i'm looking to buy some fresh picked wild fruits and nuts. they're in season soon
  • I actually read that people with a cooler body temperature than average live a longer life. Of course if you have a thyroid problem, that's a different story.
  • I had a lot of schoolwork going on which is why I haven't been on here. I guess you could say I have gone 811, but now that I think about it, I've been pretty much 811 the whole time! About the fat, I like eating predominant amounts of fruit and min…
  • avocados have 33 grams of fat each and even if it's raw fat it's still fat. If I eat even an entire avocado in a day it's way too much. A quarter or half is more like it. A low fat raw diet is best because eating fat places a coating of fat around t…
  • iherb.com is the best place for supplements i think. really fast shipping and super cheap. i get wild fruits and nuts from wildcrops.com, pinenut.com, and sunfood has the BEST in-shell walnuts right now. sunfood is great in general too. realrawfood.…
  • hey zinfandel. My diet roughly looks like this: 8-12 oranges a day, half a bag of grapes or so, a glass or two of light walnut milk, and a couple heads of spinach a day. I'm not a big banana eater but sometimes I'll eat a frozen banana ice cream. i'…

  • any advice on cleansing the colon WITHOUT enemas or colonics? the reason I ask is that I'm only 13. I'm looking to buy a juicer with my allowance.

  • Howdee! To tell you the truth I don't eat vegetables and feel much better eating mostly fruit. That's not to say don't eat vegetables, but don't worry if you don't eat a lot of them. Fruit is much more healing in the detox/cleansing phase. Then you …
  • I read that only parts of the nightshade plants are harmful. http://www.rawschool.com/bestrawfoods.htm
  • lol i don't think there is anything clean in indian cuisine...the food is always loaded with oil. but it's a shame because it's the thing I miss the most. Naan bread, saffron rice, potatoes, man, but it's real toxic.
  • I think grinding up the fruit does destroy the fiber so I eat most of my fruit whole, except for sorbets made by grinding frozen fruit. The whole form is more natural and for me more satisfying, plus contact with metal takes a lot of the vit c out o…
  • hi cranberry! I've had cats forever and started the whole raw thing for cats a very long time ago with our previous cats, but not the whole prey idea. Then we found out about the whole prey idea from www.rawfedcats.org and ordered some whole mice an…
  • I feed my cat a whole prey diet. She eats basically mice, chicks, and chicken wings/backs. www.rawfedcats.org
  • It oxidizes pretty quickly so you have to keep it airtight or freeze it. I freeze all my coconuts, but before I open them. The taste isn't affected at all.
  • Kay dudes, I'm in! I've pretty much been doing this all along but am very curious as to how all of you eat!
  • I also can't find the Berry Frappe or the DQ Blizzards/Ben and Jerry's recipe. Those are the exact words. Thanks
  • You could infuse some sundried tomatoes which probably would rock, with a little black pepper. If you wanted to make an Indian dish then infuse some curry and saffron. Just an idea.
  • just mix olive oil and vinegar and drizzle on the spinach, and sprinkle sea salt. I guess I didn't really infuse it...but the flavors sure soak in fast if you toss everything around.
  • Spinach + olive oil + vinegar + sea salt = bliss
  • Same here. I barely eat any fat. Occasionally something with avocado..but I really feel much lighter and more energetic eating low fat..besides, a low fat raw diet is supposed to be best. The only fat I eat comes from young coconuts (they are actual…
  • Vanilla ice cream eh? That sounds so cool! Ice cream soda..mix a scoop of raw ice cream into kombucha....very bliss indeed.
  • Yea I have been going waaaaaaaay low on the fat lately. It is much better. If you are eating unsoaked nuts, though, that is prob a pretty big culprit for stomach troubles. Maybe try a few days without em and see how you feel?

  • I find that any nuts, seeds, grains, even all in the sprouted form, do not digest for me, and even greens are bloating. I make juice out of them if I want them. I still feel like I'm eating a cooked diet if I eat all those things. My diet is now bas…

  • I had a L'equip dehydrator in the past and a lot of the crumbs accumulated on the bottom and there was sticky residues that I couldn't clean up, basically it was hard to clean. But I was lazy and would let a lot of time fly by before I bothered..lol…
  • they are made of plastic I think which may leech toxins into the food, I dunno, it's made with a special type of plastic which is and isn't safe..not too sure. Either way I have excalibur and am very happy with it.
  • there you go.

  • I think the Celtic one is higher in trace minerals and is totally pollution free from pristine waters. Regular sea salt I think comes from regular polluted oceans.

  • Hmm, that's weird. What happens if you taste one? Does the smell go away when you rinse them?
  • Were they organic? One time I picked up non-organic ones and sprouted them and they smelled like that.
