  • Grow your own garden!!! Grow your own sprouts (sprouts are dirt cheap)! Greens and fruits are the best form of nourishment (what we should eat the most of) so you can limit your spending money to nuts as a more occasional thing (nuts are the most pr…
  • Welcom Fritemare! Gone raw is such an awesome online community, you’ll love it!
  • Eating in the Raw by Carol Alt (good for beginners, though she isn’t vegan) The Raw 50 by Carol Alt is really good too!

  • MOTH, I have the same problem. I don’t have a spiral slicer (sniff, sniff) but sometimes what I do is chop up the zuchinni into flat, large pieces and then take the point of the knife and make long, skinny noodles out of it. You can even peel as you…
  • Congratulations, Cheflandria! Is it a book or an e-book? I’m very happy for you. Many, many people love your site and your delicious recipes. (I cannot wait to make your lasagne!) Your pictures, as said above, are incredible! I’m sure you will do we…
  • Tea helps me, warm dehydrated foods (lighter, such as stir frys) or soups really helps me!
  • I love breakfasts! Small or big, they’re usally lighter, such as fruit till noon, smoothie, juicy fruits, or juice. I think breakfast gets me going in the morning. But everyone is different. But I usually like to wait till I’m hungry in the a.m. til…
  • Wheras for me, I would fall apart without our Vita Mix. It’s incredible, the only drawback is it’s noisy, but really, it’s just music to my ears. :0) It makes hot soups, salsas, chunky avacado dips, smoothies, doughs, sorbets, ohhhh, sigh, juices! …
  • I would totally say it would. 3-5 days is a good guess for most raw stuff like that, but I’ve definitely eaten it when past that. You can always freeze some of that stuff. :)
  • Raw kitties…that phrase just makes me smile. I saw a picture of Sarma’s (Raw Food Real World, who hasn’t heard of dear Sarma?) cat and he’s gorgeous. All raw kitty.

  • Dnacol, I love just a simple Medjool date for a sweet. Yummsies, it really does help, except that I want to eat the entire package. I love making raw ice-creams and coating them sweet raw things, I must confess, yesterday was my 3rd day in a raw ea…

  • I do pilates often and creative aerobics. Or maybe I’ll go for a jog, a long walk, or a walk or jog on the treadmill. I work all day outside in the summer. Often, I like skip roping, bycicling, and running. I love variety!!!
  • Spamming or not, I just checked out the site and it looks great! ;0)
  • Thank you Jim, just downloaded it. :0) And I second Lucy, welcome to Gone Raw.

  • You should check out Carol Alt’s (she’s not vegan, but she is a raw) secnond book “The Raw 50” out. She’s got 10 fantastic breakfasts, dinners, lunches, snacks, and drinks in there. It’s easy to plan that way.
  • This is such a great thread. Oh, the gorgeous benefits of smoothies and fresh juices! Happy sigh!
  • I just did a Green Smoothie fast for seven days earlier this month. That was so fun. I highly reccomend it!!!! You can check it out at my blog www.rawroyalty.blogspot.com (older posts)
  • You can get a cheaper Vita-Mix (if you’re interested) by ordering a demonstration one. We bought one for our sister’s wedding gift that way and it was much cheaper, but just as good!
  • Wow, I just checked out that site Kminty3. Your friend started this company or was hired for the website doing? It looks very impressive. Is it all natural and pure or is there some stuff that isn’t natural in it?

  • I did a 7-day detox with a green smoothie cleanse. That was great. You can check out my blog post on it (they’ll be a little older) at www.rawroyalty.blogspot.com I really enjoyed doing it. I didn’t really feel that deprived at all.
  • Jmasterson, cacao is raw if you buy the right version, from a wholesome company. Funny all the things people say about cacao, some love it and some hate it. :P
  • I would love to try wild rice! I wonder if raw guru sells it raw… Cherjohn85, even if your rice didn’t quite work out, could you share the recipe?

  • It’s simply a pretty much all raw diet, save a bit of cooked as Numptellie said. For a person who is transitoning to raw I totally reccomend it.

  • Oh, that would be great to know. I’ve been wanting to know good brands for a while now. I know Burt’s Bees sells some stuff. Lip sticks and shimmers. Eyeshadows and blushes. Maybe some powder. I use some of their lip stuff and it’s nice, but I don’t…
