  • I take mine in a stainless steel thermos flask. There are a lot of them available in England at the moment and I got mine from the supermarket. It keeps fine in that, but I stupidly left it at work today!
  • There are some makes of apple cider vinegar that are raw but not all are I think. Olive oil should be cold pressed if it is to be raw. Other people can probably more specific than me but I hope that helps a little.

  • I made some great peanut butter last week – ok I know peanuts have toxins and should be avoided, but I like them. I bought unshelled nuts and shelled them myself (thinking they would be raw but of course they were roasted but as its an honest mistak…

  • Well she has enspired me to drink green smoothies confidently and as a consequence my meat eating vegetable hating partner also drinks them. In fact he complains if he doesnt get his daily green smoothie. Anyone who can manage that is a miricle work…

  • Thanks Zoe, that was the conclusion I came today when making your coconut drink. Ive nearly got the hang of opening a coconut in under three hours! They are just so delicous and sweet and sticky!

  • Thanks for the ideas guys. I looked at the pictures and couldnt see anything like my dates. However they were so cheap I dont mind throwing some bits away even if there is nothing wrong with them.

  • I hate green beans! I like most other fruit and veg to varying degrees. Weirdly I much prefer raw sweetcorn to it being cooked.
  • Id go for the 2 for $25 and see how you get on with them. If they are good enough you have saved yourself $160 and if they will only do as a fill in until you can get something better you might be able to sell them both individually and get some mon…

  • Thanks achin70 – I remember before looking at the book and it had very mixed reviews, but having just gone and looked again there are no reviews giving it less than 4 stars. Reading the post it appears as if many posts were previously written by one…
  • I fell off the wagon deliberately last night – but I think it was to prove to myself I wouldnt like it! We went to the local chippy (thick cut french fries and fish in batter) and I had an order of chips and mushy peas and although the first one or …

  • I would guess that with a round dehydrator (I have one too!) the things at the top might get the flavours of the things underneath. Id suggest putting the sweet things at the bottom and the savoury things at the top. But if you wanted your lemon coo…

  • Id try just kale or just spinach to start with rather than both together. If I remember correctly from reading Raw Family who also wrote Green for Life they used 60% fruit to 40% greens. If your body can cope with fruit juices and smoothies then I w…
  • I guess it could be both. In the same way that some foods disagree with certain people it maybe that your body doesnt like green smoothies. I have been giving them to my partner for 2 weeks now and they seem to agree with him in that his farting (so…

  • YAY for you. Its so exciting when a new piece of equipment arrives and you can start playing with it. I totally understand your happiness. Enjoy your crepes.
  • Im glad someone else felt like this – I thought maybe it was only me. I commented last year that a recipe that was posted was virtually word for word taken from a book I had. Since then the poster has helpfully added where the recipe came from. I ag…
