  • I get my honey from a bee keeper whose hives are only 100 yrds from my house! His honey is completely untreated and natural. Don’t judge the “rawness” by its tendency to solidify. Some types of honey do that (like orange honey) whereas my favorite, …

  • Luna Blu, I certainly did have more than usual – maybe 3 or 4 times as much! I won’t do that again! I love the shots of your shiloh, such a beauty in the snow!
  • Worley, I think you need to add some oil to it. Almonds are rather dry compared to other nuts. Maybe juice them, then run them through a blender/food processor with some oil till you get the right consistency.

  • One thing I’ve noticed that makes nut milk last longer is always using the same jar. I mean, don’t use the jar to store your marinara sauce, then use it for nut milk. Always only one jar. I have a jar I wrote “nut milk” on so there’s no confusion. A…
  • I really recommend sprouting SMALL beans over big ones. They seem less of a problem. Whatever the case, I have to steam mine cuz RAW they’re just toxic for me – send me to the toilet.
  • All beans except very small ones (like lentil) give me the runs. Some people seem to tolerate them. I don’t like the taste very much unless I steam them, which also makes them edible for me kuz I destroys the toxin that’s giving me the runs. But of …
  • I’m like Izhpt and so’s my husband – most sprouted beans send me running doubled over to the bathroom. For hours.
  • Must agree, Luna Blu, there is something SEXY and RAW about that guy. Can’t vouch for the rest!!

  • My twin has this problem occasionally. She manages to block the migraine when it’s in the aura phase, BEFORE it comes on, by using oils like camphor and menthol. No, I doubt the combo she buys is organic, but it sure beats popping a pill. The import…
  • Thanks for this post. Seizures run in my family, although I’m not really prone (only had two). I’ve started on MSM so I’ll be on the lookout. I’ll tell my twin who’s more prone than me. I’m also really sensitive to wine (such a shame living in Italy…

  • I’ve read that it’s not good to lose your period. Not to raise alarm, but it might the hair and period loss might be a sign that you’re not getting enough fat – women need fat. When you lose your period it’s because your body thinks there’s a drough…

  • What a beauty!!
  • I have this problem constantly, although I’ve never tested anemic or anything else. It got much worse when I did the Master Cleanse and now it’s better now that I’m off. Spring is in the air and I’m just starting to crawl out of my bundles!!
  • I personally haven’t had any detox problems although I’m not 100%. I guess only while on a Master Cleanse did it become obvious. Coated tongue, smelly everything, tongue ulcers.
  • I’ve seen this done in a restaurant and it was delicious, strangely much less garlic punch. Everyone ate it by the spoonful. Peel garlic cloves, left whole, then soak for who-knows-how-long in olive oil. The garlic essence leaches into the oil, givi…
  • I much prefer the simple jar method. I’ve tried the nutmilk bag method and didn’t like it cuz the sprout tails got enmeshed into the net of the bag, making me need to rip them out, breaking them. If you want good drainage, then turn the jar into a b…

  • I always forage mine. They’re EVERYWHERE now!! Dandelion is SOOOO good for you and if you eat it now that the leaves are young and tender, they really aren’t so bitter. I’m having whole salads of them. As they become more bitter I add them to smooth…
  • I persosonally don’t buy the blood typing diets. Everyone’s different but I doubt it’s cuz of our blood types.
  • I use parchment paper on dishware placed directly on my radiator. I’ve made loads of things this way and you can moderate the heat by adding more plates if it’s too hot. This free dehydrator method will last me till I get a proper Excalibur. You can…
  • What about aeration? That’s the only problem that comes to mind for me.
  • Whenever I eat garlic I smell for days and my hubby goes nuts….!
  • Not sure if it’s raw, but I use it in making sauces, dressings, dips, burgers…yum!

  • It may not be raw, but it’s a powerful anti-carcinogen when used in combination with black pepper. That’s what an eminent oncologist/nutritionist said at a conference I attended here in Italy. He uses it liberally in deserts to give a nice eggy colo…

  • I’ve read that Maca helps the body balance itself hormonally.
  • I don’t have a dehydrator. Mine come out quite creamy – probably cuz I don’t use much coconut water. Oh, I forgot that I also add a tablespoon of coconut oil, which when put in the fridge helps solidfy it all. I then added a chocolat dip on top. The…
  • I made some macaroons with some hairy coconut that turned out amazing – chopped coconut, some coconut water, sweetner. Process it. Yummy! You could probably also make some Thai style dishes – coconut & curry.
  • See the thread I started about this. It’s got great info and recipes in the link I gave: http://www.goneraw.com/forums/2/topics/4009
