  • i have read that cilantro removes heavy metals, but don’t know of anybody that has try it. I read that it can be juiced or you can make a pesto. Wheatgrass is supposed to have the same effect.
  • As far as I know good (raw) fats help. Not only eating them but applying in the affected area (i read that avocado oil would be good for that). I know from not raw-vegan foodies that eating salmon (due to its fats) helps.
  • i soak them for 20 minutes too. Then i use the “sprinkle” method.
  • You may try those good fats that Satchy and KellyS have suggested. You can try to think NOT in food to eat, but in what food you really fancy. Sometimes to think on food can make food undesirable (in my experience) but thinking on what do you want o…

  • Thanks KAIT, i’m learning a lot in this forum, and not just on raw issues! Does BTW means “by the way”?
  • sorry, what is “oj”? did’nt know anything about fats and inhibition of oxygen intake, i suppose that is true for raw, good fats too, isn’t it? “bicefalic”, i mean with two heads, sometimes it seems than two sides are both fighting (ie. one asking fo…
  • yes! sometimes the hardest is to be in peace with oneself, and not in a constant battle as if we were “bicefalic” or so…
  • I love this new concept: “feed the moster”!! I suppose that “the monster” will become “my body needs” after some time (perhaps long time) being raw, but it is great to have that monster until that “wise body” arrives.
  • I noticed some improvement very quickly like 1 week later. After 2 months i had symponts in the morning (running nose and sneezes), but during the day i was all right. (Doctor told me that i was alergic to “acarus”, didn’t make more poves to see if …
  • I’m so sorry, i didn’t want to make a confussing message. English isn’t my “mother language” perhaps that is why my post is so unclear. I have to thank pianissima for her fast explanation of my point. I have been eating raw (but bread) for 2 months …
  • I don’t know if you have been eating SAD until now, or if you were vegan before or… But anyway, if you were SAD you can think now in a different way, “large salads/wraps, fresh fruit/smoothies and nuts/seeds/fat” instead of “meat and 2 veggies”. If …
  • As far as I know all sprouts are low-carb
  • I’m trying to go selfsufficient on sprouts and greens too. In the beggining i used jars for my sprouts, and then i bought a 3 tier sprouter because I wanted to make more sprouts, it’s a GEO you may see it here: http://www.ukjuicers.com/sprouters/GEO…
  • Water and oils help. (don’t know anything about fruit and constipation relation, sorry).
  • I’m starting to follow (or try to follow) hyppocrates intitute diet where sprouts and greens are basic ingredients. I think those two make a good cuople in order to achieve a good nutrition, only a source of fat is needed (avocado for example). Just…
  • Well I have not to feed raw eaters, so no personal experience, it’s really nice to see a whole family eating raw! There is a post at raw-pleasure.com.au called: Feeding a Family of 7 on Raw Look if it helps you: http://www.raw-pleasure.com.au/compon…
  • OMG, I have understood that when I’ve read the paragraph below, hope i’ve misunderstood: “Common foods such as garlic and peppermint would be classified as drugs, or a third category (neither food nor drugs) that only Big Pharma could regulate and s…
  • i’m so stunned, i can’t imagine going to agrocer and find out that they can’t sell… GARLIC!!!!! GARLIC!!
  • I was really upset with them! And threw away all of them! It’s funny some weeks later to find out what really was. I didn’t know anything about “root hairs” until now.

  • Thanks LimeLady! I’ll to follow it, one thing a noticed when going raw was that sprouts were the most satisfying food for me, and that was what drove me to this diet.
  • I’ll check online for yeast infections symptons. I think i’ll buy some books on Hippocrtes diet. Your weight loss (i know you don’t need it) is very motivating, so i’ll try to bring my diet near that guidelines. (giving up bread will take much more …
  • thanks limelady! I’m in Europe, so i can’t go to the institute. I have been researching on that diet because i like sprouts very much and i’m not a big fun of fruit (with exceptions: berries, pommegranate…). I thougth that “energ soup” was a basic f…

  • There is another recipe for Gazpacho (eaten raw and cold – SADs included): 6 tomatos (ripe) 1 green pepper 1 red pepper 1 cucumber some onion garlic (optional) olive oil (as much as you want, start with 2 tbsp and see how much you want if you want m…
  • That gluten seems to be everywhere!!! I have made for the first time buckwheat sprouts, they taste (to me) to… sunflowers! But I have no idea about this grain, is it a grain? gluten?... oh, well, i will look for it and post it later
  • wow! very interesting! let us know how it works and how it taste!! i think that sweet brown rice = glutinous rice, the one used to make sushi. PS. I have found a photo of sprouted rice, just to know how it looks like http://wildhoneybee.blogspot.com…
  • I agree, today’s foods are less nutritioius, and they are almost tasteless!!! (compare a wild strawberry – if you find one! – and strawberries for usual grocery).
  • I had similar problem in the beggining (2 months ago) and i decided to eat simple. Now i make some desserts sometine, and my usual diet is very simple, some fruit and “sprouted salads” with some greens. (I’m not 100% raw, I eat (cooked) bread).
  • I am interesting in this topic too. I have read about tea tree essential oil, but don’t know anyone who has try it. It’s suppsed to be atiseptic and antifungal.
