  • I think that the green part is eaten, and you can grow it some cm then cut, eat and let the same seeds to grow again for several days. When finished a natural sponge can be made with seeds an roots, but I have never try.

  • gorawmom- mines have only a little white shoot. I sprout them for 24-36 hours (more or less)... mmmorgans- quinoa sprouts very easy, i have done it with a jar (as you have explained).

  • Did wheat have a long or shot sprout? I eat mine white short sprouts. Anyway I do better with Kamut than with winter wheat. You may try buckwheat too.

  • Thanks for sharing experiences! I now make sprouts with jars or just plates, it is not very comfortable, and i think i definitively will buy one, I’ve seen some made in “terracota” i’ll try that or one like geo (made in plastic, isn’t it?)

  • ... my garbanzos always sprout well, and I like them very much beacuse they recover the taste they have when they were still green… the most similar sprout I’ve found till now is mung bean sprout.
