  • I second the Yacon syrup! It’s a healing agent to candida and tastes amazing.
  • yes, the algae is a very powerful cleanser.

  • As my mom (a physician) works solo in her own office she doesn't deal with anyone really...except her patients. She has successfully converted multiple people to raw. For example there is this one guy who has cancer and he is fascinated by the Grape…

  • I agree with durianrider.
  • Yup, beans in a can definitely aren’t raw. They are soft and pre-cooked versus the hard beans you buy at the store, which usually can sprout.
  • true. but did you know that our intestines are more than 500 feet long (12-16 times the length of our bodies) I just wouldn’t take a chance with my digestive system. But you guys know better for your bodies i guess.
  • Alright, if you can digest them that’s great but I can’t do that.
  • Sorry bout that, Winona, I was editing my post and it took too long. I don’t really have any evidence but it’s just common sense for me to think that grains aren’t digestible because I don’t do well with either nuts or grains. Here’s my take on it. …
  • Nuts are just as bad as grains, don’t be fooled. You’re filling your digestive systems up with stuff that’s not coming out, by the way. People aren’t meant to eat nuts because they can’t open the shells with their teeth like squirrels can. And grain…
  • What a coincidence I just saw that yesterday on CNN!! “in moderation” lol that’s a good one.
  • Tuliza, that recipe sounds really good! I need to make that.
  • I am a kid, and I take a lot of blue green algae (a type of spirulina I guess?) but I take it in capsule form so I don't taste it really, that may be a better option for your kids because you can get empty vegicaps from health stores. I would make a…
  • I'm with everyone on here that's replied. Zoe has a good point, raw food prep is more just a hobby. The most complex recipes I ever make are just pureeing some things in a blender and dehydrating into a bread made from fruits and vegetables, but a s…
  • I agree durianrider, but, isn’t that kind of totally way too much fruit? lol?
  • The problem with nutritional yeast is that it contains dangerous amounts of B vitamins for much more than a few spoonfuls a day. That’s why you should eat brewer’s yeast – no, I’m not talking about that horrible stuff, there is a particular brand th…
  • You have to look at it this way: Carnivores eat raw meat. They kill animals. It’s what nature intended for them to eat, and yes, the animals probably know they are about to die, but it’s only part of the food chain for them and same with vegetarian …
  • Hey there! I’m not from Brazil, but I am really fascinated by the sugarcane ethanol being used there. Are you using it? It’s a really good country because the air is much cleaner there from using the ethanol…...apparently it’s a really efficient bio…
  • Congrats to you and your baby! I look forward to growing up and having a child while raw too…it would be such a great thing.
  • Oh YEAH to REAL RAW FOOD! Awesome products and really cheap. I live in the US and order from them and no issue, you just have to be at the door for a signature when they deliver it (it comes by mail USPS) I guess cause’ it’s out of country. I agree,…
  • Frankly I don’t see how this is such a bad thing unless you have guests over or something. :) I used to make lots of onion bread and it always came out crumbly, but that’s okay coz I usually picked at the sheets when everything was gone. But that wa…
  • Rawguru.com is good, but if you are ordering a lot of separate packages around the same time, they tend to send the first order, and add the first order to your second order. That doubles your first order. Then, there’s pretty bad customer service. …

  • You cannot use coconut water instead of coconut milk. Coconut water is a cool refreshing sweet clear liquid, but doesn’t have the rich creaminess of coconut milk, which, straight and to the point, tastes like coconut flavored milk. It is white, fatt…
  • Do you mean concord grapes? The ones with jelly and seeds in the middle? I love those grapes.
  • I’ve sprouted hemp seeds. They take a few days to six days but it’s worth it. Hemp sprouts get little tails like sunflowers do, but they are smaller obviously. Hemp sprouts make the best milk EVER.
  • Why don’t you just enjoy them whole? That’s what I would do if I got such a unique fruit like that. One idea, though (I got it from Naked Juice) is to blend 3/4 a peach with half a mangosteen, 1 cup of apple juice, a handful of white grapes, and a l…

  • Does anybody homeschool their kids with Calvert? Just curious.
  • Hi everyone – well I’m a homeschooled sixth grader going into seventh and love it. It’s pure bliss not to be all manic and entangled with all the other kids at school. I’ve been to private schools when I did go to school. It’s a better environment a…
  • Frankly, I think people may have been meant to eat meat because our ancestors thrived on it until fire was discovered. On the other hand, they didn’t live long and had many diseases, but maybe that’s just because this was a million years ago and peo…

  • Gosh I’ve been hearing that for ages…my mom has a Bluetooth headset with her cell phone and I have a cell phone too, but only use it 5 minutes a day or less so I don’t need to spend money on the headset when it’s only being used 5 minutes a day. But…
  • Why don’t you order the hulled ones online? Hemp seeds have a very hard shell, I don’t think you can do it without some sort of machinery. You could probably send them to someone who knows how to do that, but there are so many raw websites that sell…
