  • Valeria, I know what it’s like…I do eat some organic and tons in the summer (we do organic gardening) but it’s hard especially this time of year. I WISH so badly we could eat all organic, but my family can’t afford all that and I’m not the one in co…

  • Student currently, want to make a career of writing.
  • Okay, then from what I’ve read…it’s okay to use your average normal houseplant aloe vera??? That’s what I’m assuming. Once I overheard something about some toxin that’s in aloe vera that you need to be cautious about. I guess that was just a story?

  • I am not kidding, I just made the best ever (super for beginners) green smoothie! Oh, it was fantastic. Thankfully, I still have some left in the fridge. bananas (frozen) pure orange juice liquid base orange lots of spinach one aloe vera leaf s…
  • Hey, Lotus Lady, today I had a really good one…I’ve been trying to get away from the “mask the greens with banana” smoothie and this one has just one frozen banana in it and then two mandarin oranges, a gigantic handful of spinach and water to the c…
  • No, I haven’t tried “reformer” classes. Where I live it wouldn’t be available. I just have a fun DVD I like to work with, but I’m still very much in the beginner stage. :) I really feel it’s helped make me stronger and more supportive, for my back …

  • Why not just a normal stainless steel kettle on the stove or a plug in one? Just don’t let it boil all the way and drink it warm/hot as opposed to hot/hot. But as was said, just don’t let it be aluminum (they’ve tied that toxic metal down to alzheim…
  • Those are all great ideas!!!
  • No, I don’t have allergies…but I’m quite certain the cause of it…is when I eat something not strictly raw before bed. At least, I’m thinking that’s it. But it hasn’t happened for a quite a while now, yay! But when it did it was more dry/sore if that…

  • Yah, where I live is exceptionally dry, known for it really. I often use a humidifier in my room. Need to do it more often I guess.

  • Hmmmm, I don’t know. I haven’t gotten rid of the habit of snacking before bed yet (a childhood tradition), sometimes it’s nuts, a smoothie, almond milks, raw ice-creams, I like prunes and dates…never the same really. But it could be the quality of t…

  • This morning I had organic “spring mix” (assorted greens) with bananas and water. Just that simple. Ummmm.
  • I love herbal tea! Preferably, of course, without caffeine. I think white and green tea are so good for you as for antioxidants and besides, I think nice warm water going into your body is very cleansing. When we wash dishes we use hot water and it …

  • I haven’t personally “done” the diet…but I think Natalia Rose’s book is a great dieting book. Especially for those who are still transitioning to a raw lifestyle.

  • I’m really interested in a wheatgrass juicer myself!! I wish I knew where to find a good one for cheaper. The ones I’ve seen are like 70$!! (gasp) :)
  • You know, everyone is supposed to just LOVE persimmons and I don’t mind them, but I wonder…do you eat the core part? Do most people enjoy the skin, which I know is good for us?

  • Ok, thanks. I believe this kind is the orange tomato kind, the Fuyus.

  • There’s always brans and pysillium that are helpful. But go easy on the pysillium if you take it as I’ve heard (Correct me if I’m wrong) that it bulks up 30x its size, much more than other brans. But yah, I really just recommend a lot of fibre, whi…

  • Oh no, I totally agree!!! I love this site the way it is. And I don’t mean a hip or trendy look, but something more vibrant…or like Raw_Chocolholic said, a light sepia, classic, but upbeat. (Does that make sense?) I totally agree it should stay clas…

  • When it’s busy I don’t. Fresh and simple is always such a lovely way to eat. But it’s special when I do.
  • I often get it if I eat something non-raw the night before. Which doesn’t surprise me in the least.
