  • Clear eyes, open eyes (didn't realize I was so swollen), and a great mood--once the fatigue and de-tox were over, of course.
  • absolutely the burgers and the raw nori rolls both from Ani Phyo, but there are some great burger recipes on this site. There's always a burger going here--atop a salad, or the same recipe can be made wetter and spread thin to dehydrate as crackers.
  • I find if I really listen to my body--it wants "dinner" at 4pm and then nothing, but hunger usually wakes me when I'm 100% raw. When I eat cooked, I don't really want breakfast 'til 11 or so.
  • David Wolf's product so it's available through Sunfood Nutrition. It also has it's own website www.sunwarrior.com if you google it. I got mine through Amazon. It's a HUGE tub, but you can get samples from the website, I believe. I find it a bit grit…
  • All as organic as possible with the exception of local ga. peaches when they come in. I can't bring myself to eat an organic peach from California that smells like a cardboard box and has been trucked 3,000 miles picked too soon when the local peach…
  • Not trying to be perfect. It just makes me feel better than any other way of eating. If it feels good...do it!
  • My eczema always goes away with a completely raw diet. Recently the eczema was really bad, but now 10 days raw--it's almost gone.

  • Besides Dates stuffed with Artisanas Raw pecan or Cashew butter, I've been making versions of Essene bread. I have a few loaves in the dehydrator now--zucchini w/ pecans, apple, cinnamon. ..smells heavenly. I'm loving the use of ground chia instead …
  • great book.. "Born to Run". Of course here in the civilized world, we do need protection from glass, etc. , but I say anywhere you can, run barefoot. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/more_sport/athletics/article6823220.ece
  • I can't seem to get the raw broccoli down unless it's been marinating for a whole day or unless I'm dipping it in Raw Red Pepper Aioli so when I've already had enough fat in my day, I steam it--same with asparagus. Organic Coffee I am not willing to…
  • raw cashews are out for me (even really raw ones). I can have a hard time with flax crackers. i usually have to sub chia seed or hemp seeds for the flax.
  • Breakfast was green mango pudding, Later had zucchini noodles, neat balls with the spicy Thai dressing from this site. A local Ga. peach and my first fig of the season!
  • fruit, fruit and more fruit! I'm not fruitarian, but i save the raw fats for post working out. Dates and bananas work really well before the workout and both are very portable. i'm not a huge fan on the green smoothies prior to working our as it is …
  • I always think that with a good raw food diet, one would lose weight that has got to go, but I'm rather a yo-yo raw eater. 90 days100% raw is the longest I've gone, then I have a month where I have a hard time sticking to it in the afternoon, but i …

  • I feel your pain..living in the ATL and being from New England. It will always be home (NE that is). I don't get on here all that much anymore. I think after 3 years of being raw in all forms, high raw, junk raw, lower raw, macrobiotic very briefly …
  • I made a great marinated broccoli salad recipe for lunch today from Gabe Cousens' stage 1 foods, which by the way is an excellent resource for recipes. The stage 1 recipes are noted w/ a broccoli crown. I'm trying to stay there for 3 months. Pulse t…
  • A Few things that help me the most: 1. Shoulder stand in yoga-if you've never done this, you want to start small. Go on www.yogajournal.com for easier variations beginning with legs up on the wall pose with your hips UP on a couple of blankets. I do…

  • If you like the science of why raw food is better then you want Sunfood Nutrition and Guidebook by David Wolfe or Gabriel Cousens Rainbow Green Live Cuisine (Irecommend the second one if you can only get one). For recipes--Ani Phyo, like kminty poin…
  • I had something similar when i first went raw. it lasted about 8 days--very itchy candida rash (ears, neck). Colloidal silver applied topically helps the itch. Let it run it's course. It will leave. There are many threads here for dealing with syste…

  • Thank you, gratefultobe. I'm a low sugar gal and do amazingly well on Gabriel Cousens' Stage 1 foods. There is no fruit allowed at all, no sweeteners, etc. I eat LOTS of greens and veggies (fruit veggies allowed like cukes and tomatoes). I'm the opp…
  • OOOh. That's one you really want to have the book for so you understand the rationale for the seemingly extreme raw food diet (80-10-10). There are many on this site who follow 80-10-10. My take on it is somewhat skewed since i was not able to stay …

  • I used to be a baby carrot junkie back in the cooked food days. Within a few days eating raw food, I only tasted soap (likely bleach) on my baby carrots. i switched to the organic large carrots and have not had that problem since.
  • I always mix greens into my smoothies without a problem. Didn't you mean not to mix fruit and fat, corecries? Anyway-it's possible you are mixing fruit in the salad and having fats in the dressing so that combination would certainly cause some bloat…
  • I am not advocating eating meat , but I've always wondered what our ancestors did in the winter in the colder climates--surely they did not store their produce. Non-raw foodists ask me this and i'm usually stumped. i give the whole protein argument …
  • Thank you all so much! I had left GR for a little while because i felt I just wasn't on the same positive swing as most and I didn't want any negative posts coming out of my keyboard. I'm so glad to be back and through all of your support, i was abl…
  • Thank goodness for mag-phos 30X and my headache is gone. It's hard not to judge yourself when i never had to get on the scale 3 months ago and now i can't even button my pants! I'm comfortable with the fact I'm not perfect and well-flawed, but I jus…
  • Ani Phyo has some grest raw nori roll recipes as does Renee Underkoffler iin Living Cuisine. Definitely look at those and here as well. I was a sushi junkie and I love making these rolls now. It's not hard and i don't have a sushi mat. They taste be…
