  • i think fruit gets a bad rap sometimes. Education is a never ending journey, so who knows maybe i'm missing something. My instinctual answer is to up your fruit and if your body needs more greens it will tell you. i do think greens are very importan…
  • Cool- thanks for the link! i really need this.
  • i'll try it- thanks. You can also juice cucumbers and keep it in a spray bottle in the fridge. It should last a few days or so.. go by the smell i guess. This makes a nice toner and should be ok for sensitive skin.
  • Thanks for the info Sunrise. That helps a lot! i am more about fruit and not so much about veggies. i need to get better about that. I don't know if it's the season, but i'm having a hard time finding ORGANIC variety, even at Whole Foods. i'll have …
  • Sunrise, i'm glad you started this thread. As a long-time vegetarian, having smoothies for breakfast and lunch are what finally cut the cravings for me as well. i am not a morning person either and usually pack my personal blender and fruit bag in t…
  • Thanks Joannabanana! No wonder so many raw folks were considering it- duh! i've suffered w paper dry hands also. Try using a vitamin e capsule, biting it open and using it as lotion. It doesn't wash off everytime and seems to actually improve my ski…
  • Can someone explain in a basic sentence or two what this 811 is? i went to that bananas site and i didn't see anything clear cut. i'm sick of trying to google it. If this is about doing a little bit of cooked, then i have to say i will be happy when…
  • Congratulations. You've taken a very important step in knowing that the body heals itself. As a pregnant woman you now have company to add to your well of hope. i wish you the very best and i'm happy that you are listening to your instincts on how y…
  • Aww. That's very kind, Johnny. Pink TuTu Twirls- love it!
  • i think introducing someone to how great it feels to drink smoothies, eat natural foods and such is more effective than calling them a murderer. I commend groups like PETA on their tremendous effort, but i think most people hear opposition and close…
  • i think sometimes people do well with a gradual change. In high school i gave up red meat. Then i read Fit For Life and went vegetarian right afterwards and so on.. now it depresses me when i am not able to be 100% (RAW). Depending on how mainstream…
  • Good for you! Others with health conditions will see your progress and will be influenced by you. Best of luck in your progress.
  • i went through feeling a lot of things at first. There were a lot of cycles of trying the high raw thing before i actually got to a place where i felt i could stick with it forever. And i'm not talking about a few weeks- a long time of trying and tr…

  • Tea tree oil. i depend on it, especially around the time the seasons change. i like Nature's Gate- found at most health food stores- but you can do a tree oil scalp massage every so often depending on your condition.

  • http://www.ehow.com/how_4430847_treat-acne-scars-herbs.html i found this article on the acne scars. Sounds interesting. Someone once told me that himalayan salt was good for stretch marks, but i do not know if they meant as a topical scrub or as a s…
  • Thanks Kandace! i think not having a dehydrator is part of my problem. They are so expensive, but will definitely be worth it. i'm going to take your advice and prep as much as i can this weekend. It will feel great to clear out the cupboards and re…
  • Keeping in mind that I am not a doctor or expert of some kind, I always suggest using a tampon (w out the applicator- like o.b.) with a good sprinkling of tea tree oil and a good coating of vitamin e. If you have capsules, even better, it will be mo…
  • i just noticed the other day that i seemed a lot more flexible. Since i have not been very active lately, i couldn't figure out why. Good to know it's not just me.
  • i'm surprised it's not used more as bread for a sandwich.
  • Not sure how much time or money you would like to spend. A care package is always nice. You could make her a notebook of things to make, like juices and just list the ingredients, keep it simple. You could make a list of superfoods, maybe a magnetiz…
  • i personally found the PETA ad offensive and i completely agree with those of you that point out the obviuos exploitation of women over animals. Unfortunately, it is not obvious to everyone. i am all for embracing yourself and expressing yourself ya…
  • Thanks leahceleste. i appreciate your help!
  • i have yet to come across an otaheite apple (oti eeti) outside of Jamaica. If anyone eats one or has seen one let me know. It is the freshest tasting thing ever and it is awesome. It tastes as good as it looks. http://wwwchem.uwimona.edu.jm/gifs/oap…
  • That's a great question, thanks. i'm saving everything in my favorites file.
  • i didn't eat the skin. i'm not sure, but i think you would have to be a little crazy to do that.
  • i love that coconut oil is an anti fungal, but sometimes it just doesn't seem to soak into my skin unless i use it as a scrub with sugar or salt. My face was so dry that it kept peeling at work. i hated that i looked like i had crumbs on my face all…
  • Aylee, if you don't mind me asking, why does he not eat every day? Is he just not hungry?
  • Maybe you could try juicing for breakfast and lunch or however many times during the day, and eat something "normal" for dinner. i've been doing this with my one meal being vegetarian because i get too disappointed when the %100 raw thing doesn't wo…
